The owner at first was very efficient and sounded understanding of my desperate need to move. He quoted me 350. I advised scheduled time at the new apartment was between 9-11 am. So I paid for 3 hours. He starts the time when the movers arrive to the office not when they actually start moving me. So one hour in traffic to get to my house and the other hour was lost in traffic to the new place. Because of this he charged me 600 for the move. And when I expressed I did not have that kind of money he ransomed my 62 inch TV as "collateral ". Very poor customer service and sneaky. Also he wanted to charge 80.00 for plastic wrap when Amazon sells the movers wrap for $9.00 online. The entire ordeal from beginning to end was nerve wrecking. His employees spoke badly of him, were exhausted, and just slow. One mover was over 50 and it took a long time. We did not arrive till 11am to the apartments and did not finish till 2:30. The owner charged 600 for a 350 quote. And did not assemble back my pieces of furniture because the owner would charge more for the time. Worst experience ever!

THIS PLACE IS A SCAM. DO NOT USE THEM. LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE. If I could give them literally -343902478008 stars I would. Read my story and be grateful this didn't happen to you. I'm going to summarize as much as I can because if i put every detail, we'd be here all day. I hired Alex moving company for a 1 bedroom apartment move about 30 minutes away. I'm a medical student, and I've moved this 1 bedroom 3 times in the last 3 years. It normally takes 2 hours to move out, 2 hours to move in. The entire move should have taken maximum 5 hours with the drive. The movers came at 9am, we did not leave my apartment to move into the new one until almost 4. Think about that. It took them 7 HOURS to load a ONE BEDROOM APARTMENT into their truck. They must have mistaken me for an idiot. I know how long it takes to move my apartment, and I knew they were trying to screw me. The two movers did not speak a lick of english and kept complaining in spanish that their back hurt and they were tired. One of the two movers must have been over 70 years old. I even provided them with lunch thinking that they would hurry up. I kept telling them they need to work faster and get moving. They would not move or hustle. They would sit around and smoke cigarettes instead of move the furniture. before we left for the new place, there were two more items that needed to be placed in the truck. Those two items took them 45 minutes to move alone. It was crazy. When we finally started unloading into the new apartment around 5pm (they were slow drivers too, go figure), they were just as slow. I knew this wasn't going to end well, our bill kept racing up hours (because we had only paid for 5 hours, because that's how long the move should have taken). The movers kept putting my furniture on the grass, dragging it through the dirt, getting it dirty, and damaging a lot of my furniture. I called Alex about this and sent him pictures as my furniture is getting damaged, and he said that "it was like that" and that "it was my fault" Yeah, okay, because I'm the one unloading the furniture, not your movers which I hired to do the job. I had just gotten my couch steamed a couple months before this move, and it was in flawless condition. Now it has a huge stripe of dirt on it where it was dragged. Plus, my TV stand's paint is worn off from where they dragged it on the concrete. So, I went on movinghelp.com and hired two nice guys from another moving company to help us with the unloading. All the while I was trying to contact the owner, Alex, to tell him to get his employees to move faster (which they did not). The two guys showed up and started helping the original two movers. I told them the story with Alex's moving company and they were shocked. They saw my damaged and dirty furniture and how slow the movers were moving and stood up for me. They started arguing with the two movers and tried to help me, asking them repeatedly why they were trying to scam me. The two movers wouldn't answer. Then they called Alex, the boss, and they locked down the truck with my mattress and TV on the truck still. They demanded payment up front before unloading. I called the police. The police came and the two guys served as my witnesses through all the drama. Alex eventually showed up & demanded payment. Because the police couldn't do anything about the dispute, they said the only way I can get my stuff out is if I pay the additional money ( 85$/HOUR) that was accrued throughout the day. I had no choice but to pay an extraordinary amount of money for a move that has never cost me more than 300$. There is a happy ending. One of the cops wrote me a claims number so I could file the dispute with MD county. I did, and now Alex has gotten fined. The case is in the public records for the county, so you can look it up yourself. The move was back in August, I just now found the time and the mental clarity to write this review. The way to stop this from happening to good people is NOT to us this company. Please, these are terrible people and I don't want anybody to experience the stress, anxiety, and criminal acts that I was forced to face. I'm sure there will be a rebuttal comment from Alex, but trust me when I say this is the least professional company I have ever had the displeasure of working with (to say it VERY nicely). They are scam artists and don't give a * about you or your belongings. I don't know how he sleeps at night. I will try to post some picture of my damaged furniture. I also have a video from the encounter with the police and them withholding my stuff in the truck. PS: There is now a comment posted by someone from Alex moving below, saying that I reached out to their "resolution team" and they are grateful to work towards a solution. I DID NOT REACH OUT TO ANYBODY. I highly doubt they even have such a team, lol. Be aware! I encourage you if you have any questions to reach out to me.

A friend told me about this place and I called to ask some questions, they were very helpful, the person I spoke with was very nice and help me with everything a needed! I have used this company twice. The first time it was just to unload a truck and the next time was to do the packing, loading and unloading. The loading of the truck was not very efficient (did not use the space in an efficient matter) but everything ended up fitting. One of my dressers broke inside of the truck and the owner committed to place the insurance claim to get me the coverage for the dresser. This took + two months and I finally received a check from Alex to fix the dresser.

Worst movers ever. Expensive and wanted to charge more and more. They left and find out that they broke my sofa. I would not recommend them and will never hire again
