If I could give less then 1 star I would!!! My wife and I used Big Red Moving Co. this past weekend and it was a DISASTER! First and foremost they were 2.5 hours late (I could have looked past this) they started our move at 5:20pm, and were already exhausted from the earlier move that took "8hrs for a 2 bedroom" - this should have been my fist sign. When they first started loading my belongings they started with boxes rather then furniture. I figured they had a plan, though it quickly became apparent it wasn't going to work. Our living room furniture was loaded next, couches on their sides, and marble end tables stacked on top of each other- cracking the corner of one. At this point we were 2 hours in (7:20PM) just with the boxes and living room furniture! When they made it to the Master they wrapped the dressers, but dismissed the head and foot board-resulting in scratches in transport. Our king mattress was loaded in the middle of the truck making it impossible to load more items. At this point I decided to call who I assume is the manager to relay my frustration. I called 4 times, left 2 messages and sent a text with no response. I asked the Mover Gary to call and he too had to call more then 3 times. There is no way these 2 guys could be professional movers?! Come to find out, one of them was only a helper who "does not work for them!" Who tells the customer this??? I decided to have them stop loading items as they were out of room on the HUGE squeaky moving truck and quickly approaching our budget. Leaving the job incomplete. At this point its 9:23 pm (thank you to the pictures I took) when we arrived at our new home to now unload. They argued while they were unloading, they couldn't figure out how to work together to get our coaches inside (having already moved them from the apt) THEN the helper had a curfew of 11:00pm for where he lived. Since Gary was unloading (the employee of Big Red) he asked if I could take his helper home so he wouldn't get kicked out of his place. This being a homeless shelter in down town! Once again being understanding I choose to help the guy out, and took him there. When I returned Gary was done and I needed to speak to the "manager." I was going to be charged $602 after Jason taking off time for the constant breaks his workers took. Again sharing my experience thus far with the manager I was told he could only take off $150.00 per his boss. $150.00 based on all of this???? What standard does this company hold themselves to if this is acceptable! I had to get my own Uhal to go back on Memorial Day weekend to get the rest of my belongings and pay Big Red $452.00 for substandard work! It was agreed that I would be reimbursed for the Uhal, and called by the owner Tuesday when he returned from the holiday with his family. Today's Tuesday and I called both Jason's cell number and left a message, called the office (the mailbox was full) and sent a text. Only to receive the reply at 1:39pm of "Sorry I am on a moving job I will call you in a moment." It's now 9:17PM and still now call. This is absolutely unacceptable!!! Thank you for making the move to our newly purchased home MISERABLE!

These guys were great, they showed up on time, were very friendly and did a great job, I would highly recommend this company to all of my friends and family. Not to mention they're hard working and good looking . The best part about these guys was they were able to move my grand piano and my claw foot tub. Both are vintage and HEAVY. When I asked about both items during my walk through, Jeff had assured me they would be able to move both items. He was knowledgeable about how to move them and again reassured me there would be no issue doing it. And he was right they did it with ease. Thank you so much guys you did a great job!

Never even got to use them for moving services. Gentlemen on the phone was rude. Seemed irritated because I asked for any discounts. Apparently they do offer 10% off for AAA members. He was very annoyed with me as if I was bothering him at his job. The thing is, I was a very high level executive for a moving company for many years. I am now retired. He had no idea I am moving 6 more 26 ft box trucks. This is just the first round to move me into an apartment until I can find a home to purchase since I am not familiar with the area. I rather live there a bit and figure it out at my own pace. Since I have a working knowledge of the industry, I know what to ask and I have very reasonable expectations. I was able to negotiate a much better rate with another mover who is very reputable. The gentleman initially was very professional and I was going to use their organization because of his professional demeanor. The comfort was more important to me than the price. Once I asked for any type of discount. His entire attitude changed. He became annoyed, aggressive, and just rude. He acted as if I was lying to get a lower rate. I literally just asked for $20 off the total bill when I was going to spend over $1,000 and I always tip very well. Each one of the 4 movers would have received at least $100 a piece. Just because I'm cost effective doesn't mean I can't afford your services. I asked for the service fee to go from 39.95 to 29.95. I felt this was very reasonable. His offense to my question was so above and beyond unnecessary that I won't even use them now. Silly, emotional, and unprofessional and you just lost a huge job. You would have unloaded a total of 7 26 ft trucks and you would have packed and moved me into my new home once I found one. You never know who is on the other line. You should also listen to the customer instead of talking over them. You would have heard me state, I know how the industry works and this is a much bigger job than just this round alone. I read your other reviews and you proved them correct. I see now you wouldn't honor what you stated on the phone. That is why I asked you to document it in writing. Perhaps, that is what made you so aggressive. I was not questioning your integrity, you are a stranger to me. Anything, I personally have promised anyone I was happy to document it in writing, because I am a man of my word and I have integrity. I was never offended by anyone who asked me to document something. The reason I was never offended is because I had every intention to do what I stated I was going to do. I would only be offended If I did not intend on following through. So clearly, you were not being trust worthy. Anyway. That's my 2 cents, hope it gives other's a little insight. ******UPDATE******* This moving company has had a family member continually contact me over and over. She keeps giving me a sad sob story that this guy is a a hard working family man. Her name is Ashley R. And she also posted a fake review for this moving company. If you look at the history, the only positive reviews are mostly all from the same time frame. This guy is a total scam artist. I never responded to Ashley, and she keeps sending me messages, to remove this review. Who would do that, let me ask you this. Would u have any vested interest in having some stranger take down your post for a bad experience? No, that just would not make sense! And would you persistently send them request over and over and over? This guy is a complete con artist. Read all the hidden reviews. And Big Red stop being so obvious dude, by the way these morons can be linked on the Internet. They just didn't know you can look them both up and figure it out. She may just be his wife. They have the same address. The pure stupidity. If you do not want bad reviews, basically tel your husband to treat people with respect. Then you won't have to have the second job of harassing people who leave legitimate reviews. 1. They're rating on the BBB is a big fat F. 2. Complaints on ripoffoffreport.com All the complaints on here and all complaints all over the Internet state. He does not respond to customers after the move. So if you have an issue, allegedly, there will not be a follow or a call back. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR, PICK A REPUTABLE MOVER THAT DOES NOT HAVE FAKE REVIEWS! Now maybe Ashley will stop harrassing me.
