Smoothest moving experience I've had in the many times I've moved. Very nice guys who also were punctual, careful, speedy and considerate. No complaints from them on all the big furniture we had to take to a second floor smaller apartment. Great service! Will definitely use again.

I never leave reviews but I literally cannot sleep because of the feeling that I have been taken advantage of. My husband is in the military and got called away to training right before we had to move so I had to go it alone with my active 9 month old. I was very anxious about it, so for a week I worked until midnight or later packing EVERY SINGLE THING and labeling EVERY SINGLE ITEM even the large things like the lawn mower and a tall stuffed animal giraffe. I wanted to streamline the move because I was alone with no family in the area. I staged everything except the large furniture pieces in our garage so it would be a "lift up the door and let's roll" type of situation. My home was 1600 sqft with estimated 30-50 boxes, which I told them via phone. I was scheduled over the phone, with no onsight estimate for 1pm-3pm. I even opted for a 3 man crew for $140 per hour, that's how much I just wanted it done quickly. The guys showed up at 1230p which was great and I went over paperwork with leader of the crew, he literally said to me "I don't see it taking a really long time" and "your unload should go quickly" AND "you are 10 times more organized than most people we see" which made me feel good about my efforts to clear the house. They began to load the truck and in the middle I was even asked "is there anything in the shed (in my backyard)?" I said nope proudly and that I brought it all up to the garage, to which the mover replied "you did good!". 3 hrs later the truck was still being loaded and the owner or boss named Ben even came by. It was evident that the truck was too small. He began haphazardly putting things on trying to help the guys I guess. He was nice and shook my had and asked me about the Phase 3 gym shirt I had on and left. When Ben left one of the guys said to me "if anything is broken just let me know because he (Ben) was kinda throwing stuff on the truck". At around 330p, the crew left to get a break and a cool drink. A few things were left at my house and a second trip would need to be made. Things that were left included; my 4 32in flat screen TV's, push mower, breakfast table and dining room table, 3 boxes (2 with linen, 1 with decor), and a miter saw. About 45 minutes later the crew made it to my new home and started to unload the truck. Here is where things took a turn. The truck was being unloaded item by item. Literally my son's table top bouncy seat weighing like 2lbs was being walked in by it's self with 1 hand. It was so ridiculous that my friend who came to visit me at the new house called two of the crew members out and said "why do you have that one little thing in your hand?" they chuckled. They didn't empty the truck completely but just enough to fit my remaining things that we're left at the house, and they left again to get those things. This took about an hour. I even ordered a pizza, it was delivered AND I ate it before they even got back. I have a receipt. They have all of my earthly possessions on this truck and I'm alone with my kid. They dragged the unload until 745p and ALSO broke my 40 year old buffet table! Then bring me a bill for over 1k dollars with no deduction for the broken furniture. I told them that I wasn't going to be able to do that and I asked to speak with the manager. He was pretty unconcerned and a bit insulting saying "you could have told them to stop", "do you have and family or friends to borrow the money from?" AND even acknowledged that he saw all of my things loaded on the truck and wasn't sure why it took 5 more hours to complete the job ... Your crew has everything I own on a truck, I'm standing here with an infant, and that's your answer? I immediately called my husband who is at military training, to help me navigate this. He called Ben himself knowing that this was clearly a case of a woman being completely taken advantage of, slow walking this move. Ben's answer was not to reduce the price but agreed to break it up into 2 payments as we were not prepared to pay for an eight hour move 12 miles away. I'm sick to my stomach about what occurred yesterday.

Hired Motivated Movers to move to another apt. within the same complex. They were quick to respond to my initial inquiry and their rep very professional; their prices were also very reasonable. The day of the move, the two movers, Nick and Preston, arrived promptly at the beginning of the move window. Nick and Preston were both excellent, very professional, polite and just congenial. They made the move easy and were pleasant throughout; they were also very quick, especially considering the move involved walking up two stories. Because I had such a great experience with Nick, Preston and the rep, I would definitely use this company again.

Yes you did verbally agree to pay for the damages after I gave a 20 minute verbal feedback on the move. Yes you did deny the invoice you requested. I did hang up, because I do not like being lied to. Yes Benjamin did try to add additional costs when the movers arrived at the destination. My problem is not with the two young men that actually did the work, my issue is with Motivated Movers management and their business practices.

I was extremely nervous about using any moving company after the horrible experience I had with one of those moving companies that emphasizes their men. I'm happy to say that Motivated Movers were professional, efficient, and did not damage a single piece of my furniture. I'll never use another company. Thanks guys!
