Moving is stressful. However, BEKINS of South Florida took the stress out of my move. From the initial contact with Chandler, the estimator, who is extremely polite, knowledgeable, professional and courteous - right from the start just totally eased my mind. He was night and day from the other two companies I interviewed for my upcoming move from South Florida (Broward) going two hours north. The moving crew was Absolutely amazing. Jhonnatan, Orlando & Nestor; were punctual, communicative, Professional, courteous, helpful, Hard-working and just amazing!! They work great together as a team. They made an incredibly stressful situation (moving) bearable. They picked up one morning in Broward and the same excellent crew delivered to my new residence the following day. I Purchased the extra insurance for the move because, In the past I had a nightmare move with another company. I didn't need the insurance. They took exceptional care of my furniture and belongings. Everything was wrapped and padded. The crew also worked tirelessly and had a great attitude and disposition throughout the entire process. Thank you Bekins of South Florida!!!

The worst moving company in South Florida. not only do they lie to you about how they will wrap and treat your furniture but everything comes chipped, scratches, and dented. They even lie about assembling your furniture and try to take short cuts that could endanger you when the bed collapses. They claimed my frames would be put in cartons at the warehouse, they were not. They claimed the legs of the furniture would be wrapped, they were not. All my clothes came in wrinkled balls in crushed boxes. And the driver literally left crap on my toilet after asking to use the bathroom. Both on the seat and the side. Also they will try and jack up your cost and not provide support when you ask why the weight was 1/3 higher than the estimate. Even after the driver initially tells you it was actually under weight.

First, the packers were excellent. The woman who arranged the move couldn't have been nicer. After that my long distance move was a disaster. Furniture was damaged, one picture was destroyed but the worst was my Steinway Grand was damaged beyond repair. I took extra insurance and these movers lied about what they coded on the inventory to cover their behinds. They don't want to pay and refuse to believe photos and statements from the piano company that restored and refining my piano. I would never, ever use them.

Moving is VERY stressful. I hate Choosing a moving company because so many companies have been given bad reviews it's hard to weed out a good one. I was very fortunate to get a fabulous crew from Bekins moving. I was so pleased and impressed with the crew I received. The guys I got were from what they call "VINCENTS TEAM" they were 5 of the most wonderful, helpful & honest guys you would be pleased to work with. Both days, pick up and delivery, they arrived promptly and were very cordial. Robert, the dispatch manager, was very accommodating and Luis the sales agent represented the company with HONESTY and integrity, I give the company 5 stars for making my two day move a STRESSLESS one. I DEFINITELY recommend them HIGHLY!!!! THANK YOU!!!! GREAT JOB!!!

As I said in my first review, 'more to come'! I received no response from Corporate office in Indianapolis, IN or their agent in Boca Raton, FL. No surprise! However, BBB in Indianapolis did respond which was very much appreciated. As you can see from Bekins' overall ratings, their "#1 Ratings" are far more than other Rating!

We have used Bekins before for long distance moves, and have used others. There's no comparison, Bekins is far superior. Today, Joe Leslie and his mighty crew packed, crated, labelled and organized. These guys treat out stuff as if it is their own. Impeccible packing, and I know everything will make the journey safely. Thank you Joe... you're a true professional, with an amazing work ethic. You have perhaps the most important job in the company... you spend all day with the customer, you insure the safe packing and organizing. You make it work.

I'm giving this one star solely for Jason Avila in Fort Lauderdale, and for the guys who packed us up. That's it. If it were possible to rate below zero, I would. Sorry, but this is going to be long, but worth the read. Please note I've moved 17 times as an adult and my husband 9, so we're not novices to the process. He had used Bekins out of NJ for a move and was happy. We were snowed by salesman Mike T. Who made multiple promises for our move from South Florida to Colorado in July. Note my review is end of November, when we finally received our last payment from Bekins, probably after threatening and cc'ing our attorney. We were guaranteed a delivery date of 7/26-30. We drove cross country with an 80# dog, and were staying in a pet friendly hotel. I'm going to shorten this and say we got about 6 different answers from maybe 4 different people as to when we'd actually receive our stuff. Jason Avila was the only one who actually gave a damn. We finally got word from Wheaton Van Lines we'd be delivered 8/2. Wait. What?! Wheaton? Thought you said you contracted with BEKINS. Oh. By the way, that's Wheaton. I'm leaving out dozens of calls, emails, and a few Xanax. We had 8 guys pack us up. TWO came to deliver...one being the driver. I've got to say, this guy knew his stuff. He was frustrated as he had been in CO, was in Texas on his way to NM when they called him to go BACK to CO for us. Anyway...here's what transpired. Our stuff was picked up by truck A. Stuck in a filthy warehouse where our antiques etc got layers of dirt. It sat for at least a week before it was transferred t another truck, along with another shipment or two. Of course NONE of this was mentioned by the slick salesman looking for his commission check only. We received.... broken irreplaceable $4600 kitchen table. Crushed boxes. Broken original pieces of art. Broken antique Desk and washstand. Someone else's kitchen chair...no, that's a YELLOW TAG. Ours are ORANGE. Put it back on truck please. (Why wouldn't you use two very different colors?!), totally missing curio cabinet (came a couple of months later totally destroyed. You get the picture. Claim over $7000. we can send someone to fix your stuff. No. You can't. Like I said, we just received our fourth and hopefully final payment from this careless, poor company. Guess I should say "companies"and include Wheaton. Save yourself many headaches and go elsewhere for your move.

Bekins (Mike Titus- hoorrrayyy and the best) set me up 3 years ago. The father (Mitch) and son team that packed me; to the 3-5 gentlemen that came to move me from SoFlo to Jacksonville, where the most caring, compassionate, hands-on wonderful crew that took care of me. From Mike (team coordinator) to the packers, to the movers... were so seamless and flawless. I have been spoiled- and now that I have to move across town while I am building a home; I am afraid I won't be able to find someone as wonderful as Bekins. Please be nice to them. They take care of your precious belongings at your most stressful time so don't take it out on them. They will take care of your biggest stress. Ask for Mike Titus!!!!!

Today Bekins delivered our stuff out of storage and we had a wonderful experience with Zach and crew. They made the experience fun, they continueously smiled all day even though our condo elevator is a pain. All of our stuff was in excellent condition. I definitely would recommend Bekins to anyone planning a move from their packing to storage to delivery. A 5-star experience!!!!!!!!

I recently contracted with Bekins to move from Fort Lauderdale to Palm Beach. We packed ourselves, so we used them solely to transport our belongings. I feel like most people have terrible experiences with movers, but that was not the case for us. From the very get-go, they were very polite and professional. We called them less than a week before the move because our other plans fell through, and they were more than accommodating. The sales rep, Chandler, personally came to our home and offered us a quote. What I really liked is that he offered us a worst-case-scenario. Most of the time, movers offer a quote and then charge you far more on the back-end; by providing us with a worst-case-scenario, my wife and I knew what to expect so that we wouldn't be surprised. And despite the short-notice, they were competitively priced and did not charge us a premium. As for the move, Bekins sent Jhonnatan and his crew. They did an excellent job! Jhonnatan personally called me the day prior to the move to introduce himself and confirm the logistics. I really appreciated that. He then called me the next morning to let me know that he was on his way, and he and his crew arrived on-time. They got started immediately, and didn't take a break until everything was finished, which was almost 12-hours later. It wasn't an easy move because they had to move us from the 19th floor of a luxury condominium complex to a house, and a lot of the heavy furniture had to be brought upstairs. Notwithstanding, none of them ever complained. They also wrapped everything well so that they didn't damage any of the items or the walls in our new house. The move took a lot longer than they expected, but Bekins honored the worst-case-scenario quote; and Chandler even contacted me a couple days after the move to check in. Overall, I was very happy with Bekins, and particularly pleased with Chandler, Jhonnatan, and Jhonnatan's crew. I would definitely use them again and recommend them.

Well this company still not putting their best foot forward. Trying to pacify us with different stories every other day! Keep away from this mover because they lie, steal and are not worth dealing with at all! Serena,Jason and Rob all need to treat people like human beings not like the garbage they hire.

This is long but it's worth reading. Especially if you're planning a move soon. This was the worst moving experience of my life. And I've moved a lot. And I've used Bekins a lot. But this experience was so bad I feel the need to warn anyone in South Florida. I wouldn't implicate the whole company if corporate had come through to help us in any way. But they did not. So I cannot recommend Bekins on any level. We moved from Fort Lauderdale to Maui last May--a big move in distance, no so big in stuff. We barely filled a third of a truck. The guys who packed us were great, no complaints. We were then told the shipment would date 4-6 weeks. Ok, we can live with and arrange for that. We're renovating an old house and the timing is about right. So, we're in Maui working hard. Five weeks later we get a call. Oh good, we thought, our stuff is here, right on time. The dispatcher at Bekins South Florida says, "Good news! Your shipment is leaving today!." I said, "You mean arriving today, right?" "No," says he, "Leaving Fort Lauderdale." It was 4am when they called, we were very confused. Then we finally understood. They had LOST and FORGOTTEN our shipment for FIVE WEEKS. We were furious, of course and wanted to know why, how, and what they were going to do about it. They hung up on us. We called back and talked to several people who SWORE they'd look into it and call tomorrow with or without information, either way, even setting up the time to call in light of the time difference. Nothing. Never heard from any of them or anyone in that office again. Then the person who did our original estimate called to say they were expediting the shipment from Florida to the west coast where it would be put on a ship, And that from then on SHE would be our contact person, not Bekins of South Florida, and not corporate. Oh, and the guy in Seattle coordinating the boat part. (He turned out to be the only person who treated us professionally. His company, Stevens Worldwide, is both responsible and reliable.) So, our stuff is expedited. That mean, the Bekins estimator said, it'll get to the west coast in 2 days. Eight days later it arrived. In the meantime I've been trying to get anyone from Bekins South Florida to tell me what happened and how we're going to be compensated. And maybe get an apology--or at least a returned call. What we finally got was a call from the estimator saying, ooopsie, we estimated wrong. The cost of your shipment--already $13,000--just went up by $2300. So not only was there no apology and no compensation for their blunder, but they had the balls to ask for almost 20% more than we had already paid. The stuff did get here finally, two and a half months after it was picked up. Because we had changed our renovation schedule in light of Bekins' snafu, we had to put it in storage. More cost to us. I am so disappointed in this company. I've never been treated so badly or so unprofessionally. I blame both Bekins of South Florida--which obviously is sloppy and and uncaring--and Bekins as a company because they didn't take responsibility for their error or do the right thing and send us AT LEAST a letter of apology. We did everything right. We were ready for the pickup. We bought pizzas for the packers. We tipped them big when they left. And we waited for Bekins of South Florida to uphold their end of the transaction. They did not. Look around if you're planning a move. Go with someone else. I wouldn't go near Bekins.

I had a 4:00 appointment for a moving and storage quote. By 4:45, they never showed up or called. The main office said the estimator was scheduled for 4:00 but they couldn't reach him. He finally called at 5 and said he never received the appointment assignment and he was in Kendall, I'm in Plantation. I told him, "If your company can't manage a simple appointment, I will find another company who will".

If I could give zero stars, I would. We have many complaints. We were promised a three-day delivery window. Instead, they downloaded more than half of our goods in order to load a second customer, and only delivered a fraction by the guaranteed third day. They promised "the essentials." They delivered Christmas decorations and patio furniture. We had no clothes, only half our bed, no linens, towels, or dishes for six more days. A 120-trophy sailfish we were told repeatedly would be crated, was wrapped in brown paper and stood on its tail. Part of the furniture surrounding our bed was decimated. Lamps were broken or missing. They gave us such a runaround about picking up boxes we used our local recycler. We received somebody else's family photos, but it took four phone calls to get them to pick the box up. It was five weeks before we heard from the claims adjustor. We made a claim for $6,000, which was conservative, but were offered only half that because we didn't have receipts on older furniture--despite the fact we took out the max in insurance. This was not our first move, but it was certainly our worst.

Bekins did an amazing job, Vincent and his crew were fantastic. My move was from Miami to West Palm Beach, they were scheduled to come between 9-10am so I expected they would show up at 10, nope 9am on the dot! They started loading everything up, reinforcing anything needed and were done packing me up by 10am! They drove to West Palm Beach and took all my items up 3 flights of stairs and were done before 1pm. I was amazed at how quick and easy the process was. I would highly recommend!

Horrible sales and customer service. The movers on either end were great. The sales person, Maria underestimated my move by 300+ dollars in which I was penalized by much more $$. I called and emailed her to inquire about the charge to my card and it took her 1 week to respond, industry standard is 24 hours!!!!. Not only did Maria neglect to inform/sell me the binding estimate for my move, she sold me an insurance deductible that did not even exist!!! Apparently, She was using old contracts!!!!!! The customer service manager is useless and a waste of time, and did not compensate me at all for my hardships. She does not resolve issues at all. Stay away from bekins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
