Great service!! Very professional and punctual service. Guy gave us estimate price which was right on the dot. On the moving day Marco showed up with his crew which were quick and efficient. It's very important to make sure to choose the right moving company because at the end of the day it's your personal goods that you put in their hands and I will be be sure to use their services in the future.

This company or the sales rep never offered extra insurance. Now they are saying they will be better with communication. They don't pick up the phone until they need payment. I would have taken the extra insurance if it was available. I was never able to reach a manager in the Miami location and my issue was never resolved. I never received any compensation as stated. Take heed using this company. They only write back to save themselves. Read the rest of the reviews and see for yourself.

My experience with Flat Rate Moving was a delight. They were responsive, professional and efficient. As a Realtor, I have worked with several moving companies in the past for myself and for my clients. I was referred to Flat Rate by a Property Manager at a condominium where I have a few listings. On a short time line, I needed a professional moving company to relocate and store my clients' personal property for an imminent closing. Flat Rate stepped up and brought some much needed "know how" to the process. They brought great relief to me and my clients and they did an excellent job from planning to packing, to moving and storing all of the items, and there was a lot to move! I had the pleasure of working with Guy, one of the relocation specialists at Flat Rate. I could not recommend a moving company more highly than Flat Rate. They are true professionals and pleasure to work with.

Best movers I had ever, fast, professional, friendly! I highly recommend. Cecil and his crew were just amazing! Great flat rate as well, they don't waste anytime to charge you more like others who charge by the hour.

THE WORST MOVING COMPANY! Many of my expensive household items "disappeared" including, but mot limited to art, an expensive Daum vase and a very expensive mirrored console table. They also broke thousands of dollars worth of my dishes and china. The salesman wouldn't even return my calls. They were completely indifferent. Horrible company. Dealing with them was an absolute nightmare.

I was very pleased with Flat Rate Moving. The crew showed up on time and were very professional. My complements to the moving crew, Prophete, Marlon and Anthony. They came in and did their work quickly and made sure to take care of the furniture. The crew was very friendly which also help with the experience. Everyone knows that moving is a very stressful experience and the guys at Flat Rate Moving helped ease some of that stress. I would definitely use them again. You should too.

A few weeks after we moved in, we started discovering damage to the hardwood floors, to our wood furniture (an armoire, the bed frame), we even discovered that the back of our 5-drawer chest had been smashed, but because they placed it up against the wall in the closet, we hadn't noticed. We contacted the company, who told us to file the claim within 60 days. The claim required repair estimates for the floor, which in turn required us to get someone to come out and look, and he required documentation from the condo about the floor specs... it was going to take time and energy, and it wouldn't have mattered, because the agreement you sign basically says you will be paid pennies on the dollar for any damage you claim, and it doesn't include repair labor. When I did the math, it was so little I realized I would spend too much time gathering up their estimates for such a small return. I will never use them again and anyone who chooses to use them, I would say: don't do it if you're moving furniture you like.

The guys were nice enough but the company is terrible. They came two hours past my window, charged me 300$ more than the estimate without breaking it down for me and took forever with the actual move in process

Best moving company I've ever had to deal with. Guy Gur made my move from Miami to Tampa extremely easy. I had to change my moving day last minute, and he was able to accommodate me with no problem. Movers were very nice and professional. Will definitely use them again.

Part 1 of my review. I'm moving from Florida to California and went with this company. Luis and his crew were absolutely amazing getting my things loaded up in Florida. Part 2: My post-pickup experience with this company was not good. I was told that I would receive my items in an average of 10 business days from when they were picked up. However in the contract you sign it does state up to 21 business days. Well when I called them they acted like they didn't know what I was talking about and said it would now be up to 1 MONTH for delivery. (This was coming from the same person, Guy Gur, that I originally worked with). Unbelievable. He told me that my items were in a warehouse waiting for a truck to be heading out to the west coast. After contacting them multiple times it ended up being slightly less. Also, some of my items arrived scratched/scrapped. I would not use this company again due to poor communication, bait and switching, and the minor property damage.

This was the second time I used their service. The first time was with the NY branch and I was happy. But when I needed them to move me from one condo to another in Miami they sent over a team that managed the move but was were very careless and broke two painting. But what upset me the most was that I found one of the movers opening my glued desk draw hoping to find something of value (I saw him but he didn't see me). I asked the manager Ian to let me know how will they deal with this situation and he said he will get back to me. I followed up twice since Ams never heard back. So upsetting! The damage cost me way more the move... never again.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I WOULD RATHER MOVE MY OWN ITEMS (U-Haul it) ACROSS THE COUNTRY THAN TO USE THEM EVER AGAIN. TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY -- I LOST MONEY WITH THIS MOVERS. ----- I previously used FlatRate for my move from NYC to Miami. It was great - no issues and was pleased. So I didn't hesitate to use them again -- WRONG DECISION! This time around, moving from Miami to St. Louis, FlatRate (Miami) was HORRIBLE! I had an excellent relocation allowance for this move (paid by my employer); thus requested their full-service (packing, storing, and moving). The budget was not an issue. [Hindsight is 20/20, probably should have used a higher-end mover -- this one is a JOKE.] On the day of the move, I received a significant up-charge as they indicated that whoever helped estimate my number of items didn't do it accurately. Of course, I said yes to the new charges given it was moving day. The packing service was a joke! They didn't come prepared. No special boxes for glasses, plates, and other delicate items. Many of my fine pieces arrived in St. Louis broken and shattered. And throughout moving day, the movers kept complaining how inconvenient that they had to pack my stuff and how understaffed and behind schedule they were. Uhm, helllllooo....I paid extra for that service - why wouldn't I expect that service I paid for?! And how is this my problem?! My furniture, including tables, coffee table, and cabinets -- they ALL arrived in St. Louis dented, scratched, and looking old/worn. They obviously were thrown around during the move. And these were not cheap Ikea furniture -- they were designer furniture worth thousands of dollars. And to add insult to injury, when it got delivered to St. Louis, it was literally some random driver they found to drop off my furniture from Miami to St. Louis (who didn't care -- just wanted to leave my furniture to the curbside so he can get paid) and some guy they picked up off the street to help unload. They didn't bring any tools to put together the furniture they disassembled in Miami. They only brought a pair of scissors -- not even a screwdriver. Upon seeing the sad state of my expensive furniture, I seriously cried. The random unloader felt bad for me. I think we felt bad for each other. Moral of the story - I previously read the fantastic reviews on Yelp for this mover. I had a previous good experience with Flatrate NYC. If things are too good to be true, it's too good to be true. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS MOVER. AT. ALL. If I could re-do things all over again, I would rather burn all the money I spent on this mover and move my furniture myself than EVER use FlatRate.

DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY!!!! My friend suggested them as he used them to move from South Florida to NYC. Boy, was he wrong! The movers came on a Monday to my apartment in South Florida and did a wonderful job packing everything in a timely and efficient manner. I lived on the 2nd floor with a small elevator and at times the stairs had to be used. Definitely kudos to them! They did a fantastic job with the heavy grunt work. I gave the three men a $100 tip for everything that they did. Apparently once your items are picked up, they are then brought to a distribution center where they can sit for days upon days upon days, until a 75 ft 18-wheeler picks up your items. Now to the arrival of my items in NC....that is a completely different story. I was promised from the dispatcher that from the next day (Tuesday) my items would arrive in up to 7 business days, which would put us at the latest to the following Wednesday. I even tried to pay for a guaranteed delivery date but was told that it is not possible in this state. My parents had flown down to help me unpack/organize all of my belongings. Upon numerous calls to the dispatcher, 12 days AFTER my stuff was picked up it finally arrived (all in all 13 days). Oh and now they're telling me that it's an additional charge for being on the second floor. It is literally the EASIEST move possible as my building has a huge unloading area with the moving elevator adjacent to that (absolutely no stairs involved or anything blocking their unloading process). For all of my stuff there was only 2 guys unloading everything...and on top of everything they were wearing flip flops?! Please let this be over already...it's been 4 hours and counting and my stuff still isn't completely moved in. My floor is now scratched and they told me to use a needle with paint to cover it up (it's a wood floor!!) Beware they do not use furniture sliders when unpacking your items. Again, I repeat, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY unless you want your stuff to be significantly delayed and then have to pay additional charges (e.g. being too far away from the elevator, etc.). STAY AWAY!!!!

DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!!! Worst move ever! Crew showed up an hour and a half late... and then didn't seem to be in a rush going through our inventory...so I think there was DEFINITELY a plan or alternative motive between the crew and the company...after going through our inventory which was already sent well in advance prior to our move as well as our destination which was an appt bldg and we were told the company had been there before so they knew how strict they were and not to worry...the crew leader then told us there was no way they would be able to deliver all of our stuff after packing the house...telling us this after being an hour and a half late!!! That they received the wrong time and didn't know the destination until that very morning...we were told more men would be at the appt bldg to make sure everything was unloaded from the truck but that didn't happen...after picking up my children from school I arrived to our bldg to find my HUSBAND pushing furniture down the hall...and I PERSONALLY unwrapped and moved our couches...AND many things were left in our house due to "time constraints" that they created...an entire closet of clothes...a few heavy boxes...and the best was a big piece of furniture that they left out in our hall for us to move ourselves...WHAT A JOKE!!! Plus there were 2 pieces that were broken during the move but no one mentioned that..we had to find out ourselves...so UNPROFESSIONAL!!! And seriously the worst moving experience I have ever had ...DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

It was my first time moving by myself and I was extremely overwhelmed but they came in and made me feel like they were there to help. They packed up all my furniture and boxes took it to my new place, rebuilt my bed and placed all my furniture exactly where I wanted it. It was definitely the best money spent! Thank you!!
