3 adjective-likes: budget, no-frills, Mandarin-speaking Just used Oasis for a move from El Cerrito to the Inner Richmond in San Francisco. Took 4.5 hours total, but I think they could've stretched it to 5.5 if they weren't so quick. We did do the disassembly ourselves before they came the night prior to save some $$$ and time. Greeted them outside, they spoke very little English (and I don't speak Mandarin). But with hand motions, we were able to direct them to our place and show them what items we wanted moved/what order. The 3 person crew we got was very nice (in that gruff Chinese way), and made sure to accommodate our 4th roommate: my cat, Aria. They met our request of having my room be moved the last, so we could move her to an empty room as late into the process as possible. Wrapping and moving things down took roughly 2 hours for our 3bd. They managed to get to our place within an hour (Google Maps said 50, but there was traffic, so no worries). Gave us a call to let us know they were there. Then: they lugged all our stuff up a very tall staircase (SF loves it's single level units). They did this in an hour and half. Very quickly, with care to not break anything in their haste. They even rolled a carpet to protect our floor without us needing to prompt. Honestly, they could've taken another 2 hours here and there and just chalked it up to there being a lot of stuff, stairs, etc., but they hustled and did it in almost half the time of the estimate. Like the other reviews, you'll want to tip well. They didn't hound us like other reviews mentioned, but we tipped accordingly as we honestly feel they saved us over 2 hours with how fast they were. All in all, great movers.
Excellent moving company! We had 3 movers. They arrived on time, moved very quickly but also very carefully, they're friendly, and also very affordable. We moved from a 4 bed / 2 bath into a 3 bed / 2 bath within 4 hours (note that we have minimal furniture and belongings, and we packed ourselves). The walls at my new house are newly painted so I asked them to please not bang the furniture against the wall at all and they made sure of that. My house is also on a hill (narrow, curvy roads) and the house itself is 3 levels, they didn't have any problems navigating that nor did they charge extra for the trouble. I also had gardeners working on the yards while we were moving in and the movers patiently worked around them without issues. All of my furniture and belongings arrived without an ounce of damage. I had left a couple of my diplomas in their truck (my bad, I didn't look carefully enough at the final truck walkthrough), and they went the extra mile to bring them back for me the next day (no extra charge). I didn't even notice they were gone so I'm really thankful for this kind act. Last year I had a local relocation package from my company and was assigned a large corporate moving company that cost a lot more but wasn't nearly as good as Oasis. Oasis beats them both in terms of pricing and service. Oasis was far more careful, efficient, prompt, and fast. I highly recommend them and would definitely use them again.
Couldn't extend my recliner properly after the move. One screw in the back was gone.
Affordable, quick, and extremely efficient. It helps if you know Mandarin, but even if you don't, you can manage the communication gap.
$140/hour gets you 3 guys and the truck. Be prepared to pay cash and tip well, because they will earn it. They work hard, move fast, and are careful. I've moved with them 3 times, and continue to recommend them to everyone who needs a local move.
