Recently moved from MA to CO. If I could give no stars I would - horrible experience from beginning to end. Took 4 hours (???) to load about 50 boxes and maybe six pieces of furniture and one mattress. The crew was fighting for most of the time - yelling at each other loud enough that neighbors asked if everything was OK. Truck dropped our load at a warehouse about 8 miles from our house, where it sat for two weeks - long enough to have a few boxes infested with spiders and their offspring. 3+ weeks since leaving MA our load arrived in Denver. On the paperwork and every piece or box we had labeled each as stop 1 and stop 2. Two stops were about 4 miles from each other. Crew did not realize there were two stops (in the paperwork) and said they could not get the truck down the street for stop 1. At this point the crew said they would have to rent a smaller truck from U-haul at additional cost. This is in the paperwork of course so I am not disputing that - but when we hired them they said each stop would be no problem. Lastly, the crew was looking for additional fees for number of steps and distance from truck / freight elevator- which were basically non-existent! We did not pay these additional fees. The boxes were basically crushed, with many of them needing to be re-taped on the back of the truck! 1/3 of our boxes damaged, mattress with a decent sized water stain despite us storing in a sealed plastic cover, Some breakage, 3 boxes with the spiders thrown out, and a bike with a bent wheel and handlebars. Other than that....

Contracted with First United for an interstate move on memorial day. Without saying anything to us, they subcontracted it to Ocean Moving and we never heard from them again. Their subcontractor Ocean Moving showed up on moving day, loaded the truck, then told us our 900 square foot apartment was over 120 boxes (I hadn't even bought that many boxes?) and demanded another $1000 and refused to take anything back off the truck or let us count the boxes ourselves to prove them wrong. They proceeded to either destroy or lose thousands of dollars worth of our stuff. They ripped the legs off of our Casper adjustable bed rather than unscrew them, which destroyed it. They ripped a keyboard stand apart rather than take out the screws. They mangled our laundry sorter and then threw it behind the fence on the side of our house. They cracked the mirror on my mirror-front vanity. Not a single one of our table lamps made it to the house. They're just gone. Only three of our four kitchen chairs showed up. Our kitchen table never made it here. This is just a very, very small amount of the things that were destroyed or missing by these people. The best part is the "so called" claims process where you spend two full 8 hour days painstakingly listing your mangled and missing items, their estimated value, serial numbers, model numbers, weight, dimensions, purchase date, etc, just to have their system "error" and you do the whole thing over again. When you finally get it submitted they email you every few weeks with an "its processing..." message and a dead link to "check your claim status." After that.... who knows? It's been since memorial day and we still only have destroyed furniture, dead links, and a "pending claim" to show for this cluster. And dont try to call First United. They will never ever call or email you once they've unleashed their subcontractors on your house and Ocean Moving disappears into the night never to be seen or heard from again.

Been almost 2 years since my move. These fools were subcontracted by the actual company I hired to move all my belongings from Florida to Pennsylvania. Lost furniture, 23 boxes, so many things broken.....worst experience ever. Tried for 1 1/2 to get some monies back. A JOKE!!!!! Sheri just stopped talking to me and never calls back! If they show up. Refuse to allow them to touch your belongings. You will never see them again and never be compensated.

My experience was TERRIBLE! Save yourself and do not book this service! You are not saving money! They over charged me for an additional hour and a half even though I was within my time limit. When I asked them why are they charging me if I am still within the time limit they told me ok you are arguing too much now you can't use credit card and you have to pay in cash and if you don't we will leave your stuff in the truck. They were literally threatening me and I asked to speak to the supervisor and they said that they were the supervisors. I am doctor. They said frankly I don't think you have the money to pay if you are asking us about an additional hour. Total scam! Get a real mover. These people are frauds. Save yourself the headache trust me!

TRUST ME DON'T DO BUSINESS with this company. PLEASE for your own sake. Just look at all the negative reviews! They lie. Period. They will tell you want you want to hear to "steal" your money. They told me, on the phone, that I could get my deposit back up to 2 days before the move if I wanted to cancel. When I canceled at 2 days they told me 1-3 days and Ill have my return. After 1 week I contacted and was given a number to call. Every time I called I got a message saying, "this person is on the phone". I contacted the sales manager again and was told that I never called or left a message and that it required 3 days advanced notice. I mean seriously? Telling me what I did and didn't do. Ok like I don't know what I did or didn't do and then lying about what you told me. STAY AWAY.
