Liars, thieves, and scammers
Scam artists. Subcontracted our move to a fly-by-night LLC who held our items hostage until we overpaid thousands of dollars more via sketchy transactions. Stole items. Destroyed our home. Were 2 days late. What a nightmare.

San Francisco, CA 243 11/9/2021 3 photos If you have high standards or have experienced really good movers, this company is not the one for you. It's impossible to trust these people. I'm pretty certain "Nick" is the only employee there. I suspect the insurance is possibly fake as well. Here we go: Once they had my stuff, there was zero communication and they even got my delivery date wrong by one week. During the communication when trying to resolve the delayed delivery, my contact "Nick" got extremely defensive and angry. I couldn't believe the tone and language being used and I'm one of the easiest people to deal with, I give a lot of wiggle room to customer support agents because I know they are dealing with a lot of people on their end. I was so shocked that I recorded the phone conversation just to have it, with his permission of course. The way he was talking to me caused me tremendous stress. The worst part is he pulled the "I've been in this business for longer than you and so my expertise trumps your experiences with other moving companies" card. Unfortunately many of the claims he was making about the standards of moving companies were wrong but obviously you can't change the minds of people like that. I have extremely expensive furniture and electronics and now I'm super worried the carelessness and that attitude is going to trickle down to the delivery guys. But who knows, maybe the guy was stressed or just was having a bad morning. I always like to give people the benefit of the doubt and try to understand why they acted the way they did. After the first incident of getting the date wrong, he got the delivery date wrong the second time. We went from "it's coming this Friday/Saturday" to "it's coming next Friday/Saturday I promise" to "it's coming in 3 days". This was after I stressed to him his promises need to be more accurate and that I don't need it rushed, but rather that I needed an accurate date and time so I can reserve my highrise's elevator and plan my flights around the move-in. Ever since then, he's completely ghosted me. The movers damaged the walls at the first location and all I've gotten are vague responses he has sent it to customer service, although I have my doubts there really is a customer service rep, I think it's just a one man team with him acting as a middleman with other service providers in the local area where the customer is. My building's HOA will most likely need to forcibly make an insurance claim as he has completely gone missing and chooses to ignore my calls on purpose. (Not sure if he knows that I can tell when he just ignores my calls but lawyer told me to get this proof in case we have to go to court) We have not talked over the phone for days despite email promises saying that he and/or customer service would call me the very next day. None of my expectations are of my own. All I do is compare other service providers to their own competition. My expectations are brought on from other moving companies that did a much better job. In comparison to other moving companies, Yellow Eagle is easily the worst one I've used out of the dozen or so I've used in my lifetime doing cross-state moves. If you are in California and need to move, use Northstar movers. In Conclusion: 1) Horrible Communication - Typical salesmanship where they pickup and talk your ear off and sweet talk you about their "five star service" to gain your business, then completely disappear off the face of the earth. 2) Bad Attitude - While many other moving companies are professional and understand that they are being paid to ease the stress of moving, this company and "Nick" does not understand this. They do the very bare minimum and has no genuine care or interest in helping you and making sure the entire process goes smoothly. Again, its not that they didn't meet my expectations, they just did a lot worse than all the other moving companies I've used in the past. I'm not comparing them to my expectations, I'm comparing them to their own competition. Yellow Eagle simply does not care. If you also say anything bad about them, while most companies use that as inspiration to do better, "Nick" got extremely butthurt and purposefully tried to provide me even worse service. How petty is that? 3) Unprofessional - After damaging my unit and acknowledging it, they completely ghosted me with no follow up or communication. Most likely my HOA is going to have to file a forced claim but the fact that they don't even want to resolve it or communicate withe me about it makes me worry their COI is fake / invalid. Anytime I ask for a manager or supervisor they literally decline my request to talk to anyone else. I also suspect "Nick" is literally a one man operation and he's just a middleman that coordinates between local service providers and people that call him. Adele S. San Francisco, CA 013 12/30/2021 3 photos Do not hire this company. My $15K experience was unprofessional, careless, and at times unsafe. Yellow Eagle Transportation showed up with an Enterprise Rental Truck, a very inexperienced, somewhat random crew (without masks) and then they were paid in cash by the foreman that disappeared for several hours in the middle of the day. Packing was NOT done with sufficient care and that is proving out in the number of damaged items (currently 14 items damaged and more than $5000). On the delivery side, there were three loads on the truck and mass confusion around how items were tagged and often mixed together. The inventory sheets were unreadable, and an entire sheet was missing. There was absolutely NO way for me to inventory items and the delivery manager did NOT do an inventory either. Drupad Y. Fremont, CA 01 10/25/2021 I would not recommend this moving company for anyone looking for a stress-free move. We used Yellow Eagle for moving from California to Austin. There is absolutely zero communication after the pick-up. We could not reach our moving coordinator on the phone and there's no tracking or delivery dates. We just got vague delivery estimates on email. I booked yellow eagle after looking at the google reviews and the initial quoting was smooth. However, everything was downhill after that. 1) The pickup was postponed by 2 days as they didn't have an adequate truck the first time. We were flexible with this. Overall pickup was smooth and the crew were good. 2) Our final estimate was ~$1800 higher than the initial quote. I knew a lot of moving companies employed bait-and-switch tactics like this but we did not make a big deal here as we wanted was a stress-free move. 3) No delivery estimate was given at the time of pick-up. It's already been 3 weeks and we still don't have a delivery window beyond vague timelines. I understand cross-country moves are logistically complex but the sheer lack of communication from Yellow Eagle is frustrating and created a lot of stress for our family. We paid over 6k for a white glove stress free moving experience and got the absolute opposite of that. John T. Tulsa, OK 212 5/1/2021 I hired Yellow Eagle Transportation for my move from Florida to Oklahoma. Communication is excellent! Anthony and team showed up on time and took tremendous care in assuring all furniture was wrapped/covered appropriately to avoid damage. Only issue was damage to my vacuum cleaner, but Anthony reimbursed for the damage immediately with a sincere apology. Bottom line: I'd trust Anthony and his team with my next move without hesitation. Great service and excellent price!!!! Highly recommend!!!
