I will say i was impressed that they held an item left on the truck for me. It took a few weeks for me to make it over there and I was afraid it might have been discarded in the meantime, but Elijah was kind enough to have held it. He was also nice enough to indulge me in asking more details about my move and informing me how displeased they were to hear about their movers' actions, and as I suspected, were not aware of the day-of activities that were taking place. Logic says to blame the estimator for not relaying information, as promised, but I have a feeling this is neither the first or last time that will happen. I think they have potential to be better than what I experienced, but if you have problems, by all means call and demand to speak with the owner or Operations Manager in the main office rather than relaying on your middle-man estimator as I did. They also offered to refund me one hour of my move, because of my experience.

Very unreliable moving company. We had a move scheduled at mid-day and the movers didn't call us until 4:30pm. Never answered our phone calls throughtout the day or informed us about the delay. Even worst was that, they called in the evening and canceled our appointment. Offered us to reschedule 2 days later, which was not going to work because our lease was running out. We had to hire a different company. Ridiculous communication and service- please didn't trust them.

Unreliable, Unprofessional, Rude,Disrespectful, Unethical, and let's be honest Untruthful. To say I had a bad time dealing with All My Son's Moving and Storage is an absolute understatement. I had a move scheduled to start in the Morning, they showed up in the afternoon. They were supposed to send 3 workers, they only sent 2. The workers stated they thought they were moving a 1 bedroom house, and that the 3 bedroom house we actually had was more of a job then they were expecting. The "Manager" apologized for the mix up, and offered to send a bigger crew in two days at a discounted rate. Fast forward 2 days that morning they did not show up, I call in to check and was told, they had it scheduled for the next week. To add insult to injury the person explains that the original quote was in error, and that the discounted rate would not happen. I explained how that was unacceptable and I was then told that the movers would be able to come help at the discounted rate the next morning. The next morning no one showed up, my attempts to reach anyone at the company failed (they would not answer the phone). I could not believe that such unprofessional-ism even exist. They Lied. Save yourself the headache, heartburn, and anxiety, that is they only thing that they actually delivered for my family and I. Now that I read more reviews, it's just Sad. I too wish I could give negative stars.

I have used All My Sons twice. The first time was for a local move and it was perfect. I decided to use them again for an out of state move because they were the cheapest for the long distance. My two movers were great with getting me packed up and got to my location in a timely fashion. However, I noticed that they left a few items. I dismissed it as an oversight. However, I noticed several dents and dings in my belongings at drop off. I also noticed that some of my items were never delivered after they left. All My Sons promises to disassemble and reassemble whatever is needed, but my movers refused to put together my dining table. After a phone call to the HQ, they gave a meager attempt to put it together but then stopped because they "didn't know how to put it together". I paid over $1000 for poor service and called to give feedback. I was promised a callback by a manager within 20 minutes and no one ever called. If you can spare the extra funds, please use a different mover for long distance.

This is the worst moving company I have ever used. At least 40% of our things are destroyed, the movers looked for food in my refrigerator, they were late (a day late) delivering and offered zero concessions until we basically told them we weren't paying for 100% of the move. Please do not use this moving company; I beg you. On a side note, we have used All My Sons in Atlanta 3-4 times and they have been great. This is an isolated location that needs to be shut down.

if there were a minus rating, I would have used it. These are the worst movers that I have ever experienced. I needed, and was promised a full size moving van. What appeared were two small trucks. They still couldn't fit all my household goods on those. They left items at my home, promising to come back, which they never did. The driver in charge said he was worried about the weight in the first truck, and it not being able to pass weight restrictions on the highway. What did he do? He put many, many items and boxes in a storage facility there in Birmingham! We were unaware of that situation until we arrived in South Carolina. The nice lady that had come to our home to make the estimate said that we would need a full size moving van! Now, six months later, I am still finding things that never arrived. My husband's upstairs oxygen concentrator was left behind and we had to make an emergency trip from South Carolina to our original home outside Birmingham to get it ourselves. The damage to our furniture was unbelievable. They bent ...yes, bent, folded, our mattresses somehow and ruined those, too. I have pictures showing where they dumped my kitchen appliances into a box without any wrapping paper. My stand mixer was destroyed along with other kitchen items. It took over a month to receive the items that they put into storage. Many I had to replace by then! My fireplace equipment, electric blankets and more were needed urgently in January . The small difference in price between All My Sons and Mayflower or United is very, very small when you consider the damage ..frustration and cost that we went through.

Well everything was going fine until after the move. We had a 90 mile move that they did all in one day. I was impressed with that! The guys worked hard, I even grilled them dinner for them because they did not slow down and way over tipped them for getting it all done in one day and everything in one piece. It was not until the day after the move that I got to looking for a 5 gallon water jug that was a little over 1/4 full of change (about 8 years of emptying out pocket change every night) was missing and also a small safe. I called them immediately and sent them an email about my concerns. I NEVER heard anything back from the email or a return phone call. The small safe was found after unpacking everything but the water jug with probably $2000-$3000 change (I am guessing) never turned up. I have called numerous times and if I could ever get anyone on the phone I was always told that they would have to go higher up and I would get a phone call back. Well here it is a couple of months later and I am still waiting on that call from anyone that I spoke to. The last conversation I had with whom ever I got referred to told me to call the cops and get a police report, ha. I could do that but I guess all I would be reporting is a missing water jug (because I have no idea how much was really in there). When I told him I would be happy to make the report he told me to wait a day and let him get Chris involved and he would call me back. Still waiting on the call....

The three gentlemen who came to move us arrived on time, ready to roll. They quickly assessed what needed to be accomplished and set about to make it happen. We had an intermediate stop in the move and this went smoothly as well. They conserved time, packed the truck in an organized manner and were easy to work with in locating the furniture and boxes where we designated them to be placed. No damages to any of our material and care was given to the new flooring in our new home. I can't say enough about this company and their attention to detail. From the initial phone call, follow-up calls before the move, to the calls after the move, every inch of the move was handled in a professional yet concerned manner. I would recommend this company for any move you may have to make. Excellent job All My Sons!

I used this company in 2008. I want to make that clear, since they may have improved since then. But in my case, the experience was not favorable overall. I hired them to move the contents of my storage unit to my new apartment. Obviously, I wanted to get this done as soon as I could, so I set an appointment for 9:00 am. The office staff said this wouldn't be a problem at all, and that I was to be waiting for them at the storage unit at that time. Well, noon rolled by, and they still weren't there. Let me add that this was a particularly hot June day in Alabama, and while my external storage unit was climate controlled it certainly wasn't air conditioned. I called the office every thirty minutes or so to ask them why they were taking so long, and the office staff were ridiculously cavalier about my situation. I apparently did a pretty good job communicating my anger, as they would go on to warn the movers that I was "a real b*tch." I am giving them two stars instead of one because, once they finally got there, the movers did a very good job. (And I believe that their late arrival was a cause of the office staff's failure to communicate rather than their own incompetence, though I am not sure.) And they were so impressed by how polite I was to them that one of the movers took down my phone number from the work order and called me later on- he must have thought I was flirting with him. I definitely don't think this was appropriate.

They didn't even get to move my stuff. The person scheduling the move hung up on me when I said I would call her back with my decision. When I called back and voiced my concern to the manager he seemed unconcerned. Completely unprofessional.

If I could go with negative stars I would. I booked a move with this company as I used to work for an All My Sons at a different location. I was told that they would be here between 8 & 9. The movers showed up at 9:30 which is understandable so this was not a big deal at all. I had 21 items that had to be moved to their storage facility so I was thinking this should not take more than an hour to complete. The movers also said the same thing that this was a one hour job and were excited because this was all they had to do for the day. Well 3 hours later they are finished up with the move. they are slow and in my opinion they were this way so that the final bill was higher. I called the company and the owner Benjamin called me to tell me that it takes time to inventory all of the belongings. He told me their process and it is not anywhere close to what the movers actually did. One person sat on the truck, I believe his name was Mike, the assistant Operations Manager and wrapped the furniture while the other person tried to move everything on his own. Just a thought would it not make more sense to move furniture after you protected it? This is a D rated company at best and I suggest that you not ever even consider using this company.

DON'T USE THIS COMPANY! I scheduled a move at least 2 weeks in advance. The salesperson at the main number sounded professional and reassuring, and the local office called immediately after my initial call to confirm my 8-9 a.m. appointment time. They called again a few days before the move to offer me a third mover at $10 more per hour, which I accepted. The morning of the move they didn't show up. I called and they said they had switched me to the afternoon from 12-3, but assured me they would be there, and would still send 3 people. At 3:00 - still a no-show. Called to complain and they said they were on their way. Nearly 2 hours later - still no movers. Called and spoke with the driver, who tried to convince us to reschedule for the next day (Easter Sunday) because they were tired and running out of time. We asked them to come and see if they could just take care of the larger items. They arrived around 5 p.m. with just 2 people, and asked us to sign a contract - they had crossed off a note that said they'd offered us 3 people, and listed the same rate for just 2 people plus a 7% gas surcharge that was never mentioned. We declined, ended up renting a U-Haul truck at 6 p.m., moved what we needed and could manage that night (in the dark, no less, because they strung us along all day). Horrible experience - drivers were nice enough, but manager or whoever it was answering at the local office number was useless, and unconcerned - he stopped answering our calls after we complained at 3:00, and just communicated through the driver instead. Horrible customer service, horrible company.

Do not use this company. For starters, they showed up with a truck that they told me might not be big enough to fit all of our stuff. Rather than get a new truck, they said we might just have to leave some stuff behind (it was an out-of-town move). And that's exactly what happened. We had to leave behind several items that were not inexpensive. Moreover, they told me it would take 4-5 hours of packing. It took over 8, which significantly increased the cost. Believe it or not, I haven't gotten to the worst of it yet. They broke more of our stuff than I can possible list here. Lamp shades, countless dishes and glasses, several wedding present serving platters, our dining room table, multiple end tables, and other items. Finally, towards the end of the move, they were concerned with getting on the road and got into such a hurry that they unintentionally left several of our outdoor items. My wife and I were able to stuff them in our cars, fortunately. Save yourself weeks of headaches and repairing stuff by using someone else. Heck, I'd rather move myself than use these people.
