Used them when we moved a few months back. Super professional and helpful. It was occasionally a little hard to get someone in the phone, but whenever I was connected the representative used my name and was well informed on my move. The movers were quick and respectful. All in all, a great experience!

I deeply regret using this service. At the end of a very expensive day, I have a formerly spotless new mattress with dirt all over it, a damaged front door, broken furniture, and my refrigerator is still at the old house despite my specifically addressing it needing to be moved and paying a higher hourly rate for a third mover because of the type of refrigerator it is. After an initial phone call to the manager/owner where he seemed to indicate he would help, he never followed up in any way despite multiple followup calls. On top of everything, I got into an accident rushing between houses when I went to get pieces and equipment they had left at the old house and needed for installation of appliances at the new one. There are appliances still not installed, and they wouldn't put together my child's "crib" despite the box being clearly labeled as an "adult full" bed. Movers went missing for long periods of time and I found a piece of something broken in my floor which I still haven't figured out what it goes to yet. Spoke with the manager again the following day and tried to arrange a plan to finish out the move and he had an employee message me about additional expense for the same. I won't be giving these people one more dollar and you shouldn't either. Highly unprofessional, and expensive to boot. I'm having to pay a second person to do what they should have done to begin with.

I would have rated my experience higher if it wasn't for one huge thing. The guys forgot to pack a large area rug left in my bedroom. I notice the rug was left 15 mins from when the two men left ( Rod and Seth). I called to inform them of what had happened. The young man's response was " Do you been me to come back, or something?" Of course, I needed him to come back and move the rug from the home to the storage where everything else was. Why wouldn't I? I did pay for a service and the area rug can't fit in my car! He finally agreed to turn around and come take care of the issues. However, shortly after we hung up he called back to inform me that he would be running behind and would like to come around 3pm to get the items he forgotten. After being highly annoyed I did agree. Well, it's 7pm and I haven't heard one word from him. I also called the office to ask if there is a way to get a percentage back for their mistake since clearly I'm the customer. The women told me that I would have to wait for them to come back and it's nothing she can do about it. Did I mention that I gave each guy a $20 extra tip before noticing this mistake? I would never use them again.

Used this company through a Groupon to move. They had young men that weren't really knowledgeable of how to move strategically. They basically just attempt to get things from point a to b, even if it means damaging the items moved. They do have a program for damaged items, but you have to submit within a small time frame after completion of move. The company or person used to make the repair has a long schedule of work therefore you have to work with his schedule to arrange the repair.

I've used American Eagle moving twice because of their groupon deal and both times have been a good experience. Both were fairly difficult moves with a lot of stairs but the movers were able to get all the furniture out without any difficulty. I've also never had any furniture damaged or broken during the move. I've also never had any customer service issues, everyone I've worked with have been polite and they are quick to respond to questions via email or phone. I will agree that the movers are a little slower then expected, it took around 4-5 hours to move a 1 bedroom condo but as I mentioned we did have a lot of stairs and I'm not sure me and 1 other person could have done it any faster.

Watch out!!! This turned out to be a scam! I'm so disappointed because I've used this company for years and have been so satisfied up until today! I purchased a voucher for 2 hours of moving service and received exactly 1 hour then waited 15 minutes to receive the final bill and somehow was charged an additional $93! I talked to the supervisor who was rude and failed to give a reason that made any sense why this occurred. She said we went 15 minutes over and that was why we were charged the additional $93. I Will never use this again and will tell all my friends not to as well.

I just want to write to let the Management Team at American Eage Moving & Transport know that Hakeem and Vasco did an phenomenal job on yesterday (6/3)! Hakeem gave me a courtesy call before arriving to let me know he was 10 minutes away (arrived right on time). They both were very nice, professional, courtesy, and very FAST! I really appreciate all their hard work on yesterday and for taking good care of packing my things nicely on the truck. They made sure everything was strapped and secured. I would highly recommend your company to all of my family and friends! If I had to do it all over again, Hakeem and Vasco would be highly recommended! Again, those guys were AMAZING!! They definitely deserve a big raise and bonus for all they do! Also, they worked GREAT together as a team! #satisfiedcustomer

The worse! Confirmed my time slot for 8 am to 11 am. When I didn't hear from anybody by 9 I called and they said they had me down from 11am to 5pm!! I told them that would not work and they finally showed at 10:17 after "working it out". DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR GROUPON ADD!!! I knew I would get some type of bs by doing a coupon but child! For $80 for two hours of "moving services" They charged me for 30 minutes drive time to me 38 minutes of loading 13 minutes of driving to the new location (but they round to the quarter) 28 minutes of unloading and 30 minutes of driving back to their warehouse (they rounded it up to 2 & 1/2 hours) I came out another $123 for half an hour extra (of time not used moving) and the mileage I suppose. I've spent more for less so I didn't mind paying extra (for actual moving services) since I expected to get the house done but they didn't even try to fill the truck on the first trip but offering to take another trip for the rest...for more money. I paid them more for driving than I did for actual moving!!! It's a scam!!!! I still have half of a ONE BEDROOM APT left to move!

B.F. I had several problems with this company. They put too much pressure to sign the contract while covering important information that impacted the transaction. The estimate was unrealistic causing last time surprises. The customer service was below the expectations. I did wait long time to be answered and frequently I was disconnected. Rarely the staff was courteous and honest. By the delivery time, the workers wanted money ahead before bring the furniture and did not leave any receipt. Also, they left so fast before I could check the items. The furniture presented various scratches and damages. One furniture was completely broke and was left behind another one to be not seen. The guys who delivered the items were from a thirty part and had no intention to do a decent job. Also, they were very rude to my 81 years old mom. I cannot recommend this company to anyone.

Please, no matter how tempting it is to buy that Groupon and use this moving service, stay far away from it. Just take my advice and do not use these movers. We spent almost three times the amount I was expecting, from my phone conversation with the office personnel. I understand that the discussion with the individual from the office was not an exact price and merely a quote of the estimated cost; however, how does a company say it should take about 3 hours to move you, when you inform them of every item you have to move, and then it turns into a 7 hour process. Keep​ in mind that the weather was beautiful, there was hardly any traffic, and the move was only around 4 miles. I feel like this company lures people into a trap. It seems like this company knows that they will attract people with the Groupon and then once they start moving you, you are at their mercy and on their time window. Let me say that this moving company believes in taking breaks on your dime. I understand that movers need to take a break especially in the heat; however, the movers that I had took breaks that lasted quite a while. The movers were very nice; however, I am upset that the threw empty water bottles and cigarette butts into the breezeway and parking lot of my apartment complex. I am not satisfied and will forever until the end of my days tell everyone I come into contact with about my experience. Stay away from these people!

We have moved with other companies (Bellhops and Two Men and a Truck)-chose this one due to a lower rate at the time...you know the old saying "you get what you pay for"...we did not even get that. Horrible service and even worse follow up with their representative who was extremely unprofessional and unpleasant. All I can say is save yourself and go elsewhere. I would give no stars if that were an option.

Not pleased. Even with Groupon, price was well over what it should've been and they damaged an expensive piece of furniture in the process. Filed a claim for damages and they offered very little to make things right. Took them way too long to get things done. I had high hopes, but ended up disappointed. I like to think my move would've gone better if I got the movers I had the first time they showed up. But I don't know that for sure. Those movers pitched the idea of delaying my move because the light was out in the back of their truck. And when I complained about my final price and time considering the movers took a lunch break in the middle of my move, the manager I spoke with had no flexibility whatsoever and sided with the movers 100%. I even had the majority of the house packed up in boxes in the garage. It took them entirely too long to clear that space. I could go on and on. Disappointing.

So the owner of this sham of a business, Mimi, commented on my prior review suggesting that I call the business before taking to Yelp to post a negative comment. Then she states the policy for damage and refund complaints. I did call the business first and was left with an unsatisfactory response, FROM HER, which is what led to the negative review. And I stated the company's impossible damage policy in my prior review, which she clearly did not read. This level of indifference is almost laughable. Anyway, still hoping one day for the zero star capability. Stay away from this company.

in the last week I've used this company several times in the past, and I've never had any issues. However, today's experience was terrible! First, the team showed up without ANY TOOLS! One of the drivers asked me if I had any. Umm, no sir that's why I'm hiring a team to take care of these things for me. I had to wait over an hour for the team to go and get the necessary tools to complete the job. A job that should have taken 3.5 hours tops took 5.5 hours to complete. I was supposed to be on the road at 1130am to begin my 9 hour drive. Needless to say my trip has been pushed back a day, I will need to secure lodgings for a night, and upper management did not apologize! I will leave with some positivity because I try to remain positive in all things. The driver Jeff was a hard working young man! He apologized for not being prepared and did an excellent job. He also wished me safe travels. Kudos to you Jeff for being a stand up guy!!!

Do not use this company! They are horrible! I purchased a Groupon and even called ahead to ensure that I would be able to use the groupon that they advertised and was told I could. So I scheduled a move two weeks ago and they redeemed my Groupon. I followed up one day before my move and they told me they had me scheduled and someone would be able to call and move my items to my storage unit between the hours of 11am - 5pm. When 2:30 approached the day of my move I called again to confirm and to get an estimate on time, and was told that I was scheduled and I would get a call when the movers finished their current job before mine. 5:30pm rolls around and no call nor any movers to move my items out of my apartment. I tried calling the office and they were closed. NO ONE called or even came to move my items. I typically do not give reviews but this one was of a very high magnitude and a HUGE inconvenience. Luckily I was able to get my money back from Groupon after explaining my situation to them. If I could I would give 0 stars.

Had a great experience with American Eagle Moving today. First, they were very flexible to schedule with, were patient with me when I needed to reschedule, and were well organized by already having the Groupon discount factored in when the movers arrived. James and Junior were the movers and they both worked SO hard and moved SO fast and had a great attitude the whole time, even though it was a hot summer day and I was getting exhausted by just watching. Plus, the cost was the least expensive move I've ever had. I will definitely be calling again for our next move. Keep up the good work!

I don't recommend moving with this company. My guitar was not delivered with the rest of my belongings between my storage unit to my new home. The move was less than two miles from pickup to delivery. When I discovered that my guitar was not at my home, I promptly contacted the company. I was told to send an email describing my challenge so that they could work on resolving the issue. After many weeks on the phone and emailing with Mimi and Ean, filing a report and sending video footage from the storage unit of the movers loading my guitar onto the truck along with footage from the loft of the guitar not being removed from the truck; I was given no resolution. I explained to them that the guitar was a sentimental gift and could not be replaced. They were very rude and took no responsibility for my missing item. Please think twice before hiring American Eagle Moving and Transport.

I stand by everything I said in my review. The movers were aware that they damaged the clock. The company did try to almost double my rate ten days before the move, and they were aware of the characteristics of the location before I was quoted a price because the same movers had just moved us there nine months previously. American Eagle only sent an email two months after the move offering to settle and to $0.60/lb for the damaged items after the Department of Transportation sent the company a letter indicating the company can be fined $1100 for each violation, of which there are several. Again, if the DOT says people should have nine months to file a claim for damages, why would American Eagle have people sign a waiver on the spot saying there are no damages? The DOT actually warns again using companies that do things like that. There are 13 other complaints on the Better Business Bureau site. The function of the BBB is to try to get business owners to make things right for their customers, and they failed to do that in this case and many others because your company does not comply. Read the other Yelp reviews also. I'm not alone in having experienced mistreatment from this company.

UPDATE 4/23/13: We were contacted by the owner, Mimi, who did nothing to help the situation. She complained about the fact that we wrote such negative and fussy reviews before contacting her to resolve the issues. What could she possibly do at that point? The time was already lost and the damage was done. I will say again, check the "not recommended" reviews. They are almost identical to mine. Their extreme tardiness: Apparently there are laws about commercial trucks driving after rain or something like that. I don't know the laws, but they could see that it was raining in the morning. First thought should have been to get in touch with anyone scheduled for that day and let them know that there could be a delay. Simple communication. However, she did apologize about no one contacting us when they were late. Regarding only one guy doing anything: She explained that their policy is for one mover to organize things in the truck. Okay... whatever. I wouldn't have been nearly as irritated about that if they hadn't been so late. Also, since my fiance is the one who scheduled the move, according to her, I shouldn't be posting reviews because it wasn't 'my' move. Last, but not least, she made an off-hand comment about it being easier to refund the $109 to "just make this all go away." Whether that was to get me to change the review or to try to make up for the bad experience I don't know. In any case, that should pretty much sum it all up. Do yourself a favor and stay away.
