*****I will update after I move and settle in!***** Prior to hiring BAEM, I spoke with about 30 other packing and moving companies in the Bay Area. If you've heard of them, I've spoken with them. If you haven't, well... I've probably spoken with them too. What I'm trying to say is that I thoroughly did my research before choosing BAEM. I haven't moved yet, but here are some reasons why I chose BAEM: They are the most responsive. They always respond in a professional and friendly manner. They have been patient. They have been flexible. Their price is really reasonable. They allow their customers to request quotes on Yelp. They're available when I need to move. They have great reviews. There are no hidden costs. Packing services AND materials are included in my quoted price (oftentimes companies will either not offer packing, charge significantly more for packing services, or charge a lot for packing materials). They desire to create a stress free moving experience. Service this far has been fantastic!! What will I be commenting on after my move? Professionalism Conscientiousness (especially in helping me pack very fragile items... microscope, wine, china, glass, electronics, etc.) Patience (I have two receiving destinations and am still trying to categorize which boxes/items will go where) Knowledgeability and Experience Organization Cleanliness Efficiency Final Cost Additionally: -Will they have a wide variety of packing materials? -Will I receive all of my belongings? -Will all of my possessions arrive in perfect condition? -Will I recommend them to my family, friends, and Yelp community? -Will I have a relatively stress-free move? *****I will update after I move and settle in!*****

I really hate to leave such a poor review but this was unfortunately an awful experience. I've moved a few times over the past 5 years and hired movers each time. It was my first and last time using BAEM. This time, the movers arrived with a smaller truck than they'd initially said that they'd be bringing. They moved slowly and left an entire closet, plus other things left behind in kitchen drawers and cabinets, among other things. It wasn't until the last hour or so packing and then unloading that they started moving a bit more quickly. The entire move should've taken 5-6 hours total including drive time - well it took 11 hours and I finally sent them home after that and chose not to have them reassemble furniture because it was so unbelievably late. I had to go back to the apartment and it took me about another 30-45 minutes to pack what they'd missed. I left sharpies our the label my boxes. Well, not one box was labeled - not even with the minimum of which room it came from or if a box is "fragile" or not. Additionally, my bed and shelf were missing parts. Pieces to my kitchen aid were left at the apartment (not sure why they were not packed) but luckily I was able to retrieve them. A drawer on my dresser seems to have been slightly damaged. I am still looking for things but because I had some things go to storage and some at my new place, it is a total mess. I spoke with a manager immediately after they'd moved my things into the final location and my fee was slightly reduced based on how slow the move was, however, after that I found more issues (like that nothing was labeled, which is seriously moving basics plus the missing parts, etc.) I'm really disappointed. I reached back out to the manager but haven't yet received any response back.

Easily the best movers out there-- they arrived on time, were fast, efficient, and incredibly friendly. They even stayed a little later to help me set up my new wardrobe. If I ever move again, I am 100% reaching out to these guys. Thank you so much!!!

Move went very smoothly! They were on time and very professional. Bubble wrapped and blanketed items thoroughly and the move went well. Would highly recommend them!

I would definitely recommend BAEM for your moving needs. Not only were they friendly and efficient, they went above and beyond with making me feel comfortable. They were very knowledgable with how to wrap, pack, and move things with great efficiency and care. They moved fast but were still mindful of fragile items. They wrapped larger items with blankets and plastic wrap to ensure they would arrive at the destination safely. They packed all my kitchen supplies and when I unpacked them, they were in perfect condition. I used their services to move from San Mateo to Oakland and felt comfortable every step of the way. They arrived on time and ready to go. We were able to partially pack and move a single bedroom, kitchen supplies, and a bathroom over to a 1BD in under the amount of time we requested. Communications between me and the movers were excellent. They were patient at each moment and I really appreciated that. I paid for the services with my credit card over phone. The lead mover assisted me in this. All in all, very professional people working at this company and I have an amazing experience. Extremely honest and trustworthy. Try to make sure you're on the same page with time expectations. That being said, Dennis is a great guy who really cares about the customer. Seriously goes the extra mile.

I've used BAEM twice, and have only good things to say about the movers and the company! Maksim and Maksim were very polite, helpful, skillful, and efficient in the move, and I would highly recommend BAEM for your moving needs!

We hired BAEM to help us with our move between SF and Oakland. They are great! They helped us pack a few last minute items, wrapped all of our furniture for protection and loaded/unloaded the truck quickly and efficient. We worked with Dennis, and one other man, I can't recall his name, but they were both very friendly and professional. I would for sure reach out to this team if we ever moved again!

My boyfriend and I hired BAEM to help us move across SF, and we were super impressed by the service that we received! The movers were very efficient but meticulous; they made sure to carefully wrap fragile items with packing paper and bubble wrap, and also labeled all boxes with content descriptions (super helpful as we began to unpack all our things in our new place). Would recommend for sure!

We ended up canceling our reservation with BAEM and going with another company after I found they communicated unprofessionally and poorly compared to the three moving companies I have used in the past year and the other companies from which I requested quotes this time. On several occasions, they took so long to respond that I had to follow up and, on the third time, threaten to move my business elsewhere if they had not responded within five business days (totally understandable if they were able to explain why!!). We went with a company that sent a well-organized, polite, comprehensive estimate, responded quickly, and complied with my request to see a (blank) contract ahead of time so I could read it thoroughly before signing day-of. BAEM would not provide that Agreement when asked, despite CPUC regulations requiring they actually provide the fully complete, ready-to-sign contract no less than 3 days ahead of time. I'm sure they are nice people and good movers, but I need companies I hire to communicate attentively, clearly, and effectively, especially when we're talking about spending hundreds of dollars on moving all of our life belongings.

Highly highly highly recommend these guys. Excellent job and insanely fast. Our drive way was too steep for a 17ft truck and guys had to carry everything up the hill for 100 ft. They were very professional, and couldn't be more grateful for such smooth move.

To be fair my items were already pre-packed before these guys came so there wasn't much room for error with my stuff. My roommate however allowed them to pack her items and we'll let's say they did a subpar job at best. Broken Gucci glasses and TV. They eventually after haggling with them replaced her tv for current value. They did however scratch my Apartment brand new floors ‍ (I moved into a newly remodeled unit ) I originally thought it was scuff marks , but no they were scratch marks Morale of the story is ... if you decide to use them because you are in a pinch ... all electronics should be tested before leaving your old place and then immediately after the move to avoid the headache Also I strongly encourage you to make them use pads on your floor if you have marble or wood... to preserve your floors Fair warning to avoid harassment and just all out frustration if you decide to use these guys.... Micro manage the heck out of them ..especially if you have them pack items and as mentioned if they will be coming into a house with nice wood and or marble floors. Adam has called us multiple times requesting that we remove a pretty accurate and fair review ‍ I wondered how they maintain their five star rating and it's beginning to become more obvious that they rush through moves, damage items , and then try to cover their tracks so reviews will be altered. It's a shame so Buyer Beware

Used BAEM for a move from an SF condo to an Oakland condo. Despite the complicated elevator setup, lack of a loading dock at the destination, and restrictive elevator reservation (I only had the elevators for the morning in both condos), the BAEM team handled everything professionally and efficiently. They arrived precisely on time and moved a 1BR (with 2 people) from start to finish in under 5h. They provided all the packaging and carefully wrapped everything (even stuff I didn't think needed wrapping) resulting in a painless, stress-free move. Highly recommend.

We contacted BAEM with pretty short notice to move homes with hopes of moving into our new home before Christmas. Adam came out to our current, unpacked and mess home, and gave us a quick quote. They did not have any hidden fees and everything was included. Since we messaged them on yelp we even got a discount! They do charge extra if you use credit card but that's to be expected. Adam was always responsive and accommodated our last minute changes of move dates. On the day of the move, I was notified by Denis of about what time they would be at our house. They arrived just as they said they would and, after a quick chat, they were on their way. Denis brought three other folks with him and everyone was super accommodating, hard workers, and very polite. They treated our things like it was their own and make sure to wrap and cover all of our items. I highly recommend BAEM for all your packing and moving needs.

We had a great experience with BAEM. We had a team of 4 movers, and they worked very efficiently. They finished with our complete move of a 3 bed house to another 3 bed house 7 miles away in 3.5 hours total. That was definitely faster than we had expected! And it was raining, but they never complained. They asked for clarification on every piece of furniture, and put it in exactly how we wanted it....even when that meant moving things around again a few times as we figured it out. They were friendly and took direction very well. Adam was really friendly and helpful as I made the reservation, and as I emailed him with questions before the move. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because they arrived late "due to traffic." We had an appointment for them to come between 8-9am, and they arrived at 10:30. They were so efficient, though, it didn't matter in the end. We were still finished sooner than we expected.

After a great first experience, I used BAEM to move again and they were even better this time around. Max and Max were fantastic and made the whole process super fast and easy! Would absolutely hire them again.

First time hiring movers and I was not disappointed. They were fast and efficient in helping us move from San Mateo over to the coast (HMB). They were nice and like I said worked fast. They took a small break and then were back at it. They really came through when it came to our heavy futon. They took it apart and ever rebuilt it at the new place. Super impressed. If you're hesitant at hiring them don't be. We also had some great conversations that made it feel like friends were helping us move.

Dennis and his partner Alex busted their butts today, and I was only moving 5 blocks! They arrived at the early part of the time window I had scheduled, with ample heads-up, and got right to work. Overall, packing up my bedroom, moving it, and unpacking some basics on the other side took 5 hours. I also loved that their hourly fee included everything (materials, labor, stairs, mileage, everything!), so I wasn't concerned about how much tape they used or whether they took a wrong turn. Overall, not the *most* meticulous packing job I've ever seen, but I don't have anything terribly fragile, and nothing has been damaged, to my knowledge. Adam, who scheduled my move, was also speedy in his responses and generally communicative. Thanks BAEM!

Great movers. They gave me a deal cuz I had only 3 items to move. They showed up a little late, but it was no biggie to me and they had just gotten off a massive move before mine apparently. They managed to move my massive couch out no problem too. I thought they'd be stuck with that for awhile. They worked quickly and hard. Their supervisor, Denis, also showed up and lent a hand. He then gave me a ride to the place I'm moving to and then back to my original location. Absolutely great guy. Had awesome conversations too! All in all, definitely recommend them.

It was a pleasure working with Bay Area Efficient Movers in our recent move from SOMA to the Mission. Adam was super prompt about getting back to my request about scheduling the move on such short notice (less than 2 weeks). I contacted him via Yelp and he responded within 15minutes. He gave great feedback about the number of movers and expected time estimate. I was able to schedule the move to begin between 8AM-9AM on a Saturday which was a lifesaver. The guys who did the move (shout out to Eriman and Vitalique) arrived promptly at 8:03AM and were ready to go. While the whole thing took longer than expected, the fault was on our end (management did not lock the elevators at our old place or the new place, boo). All of or worldly possessions were transferred successfully to our new apartment :) I would definitely recommend this company to anyone doing a city move.
