I was recently visiting my parents' new beach condo in Orange Beach and needed some furniture moved from there to my home in Tennessee. I called several places in the area, none of which returned my phone calls, and some never even answered their phones or had messaging services. When I called Changing Spaces, I was connected with Brett who was able to thoroughly answer every question, give me a quick and accurate quote for the job. Follow up is a huge deciding factor when looking for service providers. Brett made several points of contact for follow up: to make sue I received the quote via email, again to check and see if there were any further questions and if I needed additional assistance and to schedule the move, and then to stay in touch regarding arrival times on both ends of the move. I had already returned home when they packed up from Orange Beach, but I was pleasantly surprised to see two young, clean-cut men at my front door. I believe the other man's name was Andre (but my memory is failing me). I have never in my life met two more polite and progressional young men! Kind and playful to my children, paid careful attention to detail and care of my furniture, and patient with me as I had them move things around several times. Bravo to Changing Spaces for employing those who represent their company so well!

Delivered someone else's furniture to our home, damaged our items, lost our items. We contracted this company to transport our household items from Huntsville Alabama to Frankfort IL. Upon arriving in IL we noticed the company brought someone else's belongings (refrigerator, table, dining room table, coffee table, pictures, tax returns, leather chair) to our house. We had several argumentative conversations with management as they were only concerned with collecting their payment from us and did not care about locating our lost items. We learned they stored our furniture in a shared storage space during the 3 months we were paying for private storage space and never told us! Additionally, they mixed our items up with items that belonged to other people and now we can't locate baking pans/cookie sheet/cupcake pans/Drinking glasses/Bath towels/Baseball equipment. The owner of the company, Joe Planson is trying to black mail us by threatening to withhold our lost items until he receives any items that may have been delivered to us by mistake. Once we unpacked our boxes we came across another box of items that was not ours, to include tax returns. When we notified Joe Planson he told us he would only talk to us about our missing items once he received the box that belonged to someone else which was delivered to us with our household items. We recently filed a complaint with the BBB and Planson followed up with multiple lies to the BBB. He seems to THINK we want money from him when in actuality we ONLY want our items that HIS company lost or delivered to someone else's home as they did to our home! He told the BBB that it never ends with us because we demanded they repair our furniture items that HIS employees damaged. He acts like we owe him something and has NO regard for the fact that we contracted his company to store and deliver our personal belongings. How can you be a moving company and deliver someone's household items where they shouldn't be and ONLY care about receiving payment?? DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY TO MOVE YOUR BELONGINGS!!! The supervisor we started out working with was WONDERFUL then all of a sudden he wasn't there anymore! The owner said the supervisor wouldn't return any of their calls... There's something to be said about the decent employees leaving and then customer service rapidly declining. It's not like they moved 2 or 3 pieces of furniture for us. We moved from a 4000 sq ft house in Alabama to a 6000 sq ft house in IL and he wants to act like we have an issue paying him. We have an issue paying a company that loses our stuff, damages our stuff, then threatens not to give us our stuff. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!! DM me if you want to know more!!! We have nothing to hide! I think they're money hungry!!! That's all they care about!!! Don't trust them!! We contracted the Huntsville location but the owner (Joe Planson) is in Bham and he is a piece of work!!!

We've used this company for multiple local moves and have never been disappointed. They have great customer service, an easy booking process and a friendly and very competent moving crew. Their rates are highly competitive and truly care about your move and possessions. As has always been the case, costs were explained in FULL in advance of any commitment. Highly recommend as a business you can trust.

After 20+ years in the same 2 story house, my husband and I bought a new house with a main level master bed and bath. I did some research and decided to try Changing Spaces and I'm so glad I did. I had them come on a Monday to move furnishings from the basement and 1st floor and come back on Thursday to get 2nd floor bedroom furniture etc. Jason was there both days and was delightful. He was professional, prompt and took extra care with my belongings. The guys helping him those 2 days were just as courteous and careful. Great experience!!

This is our second move with Changing Spaces Moving. Overall, an okay experience but won't use them again due to the company tacking on extra charges. The guys who moved our belongings were punctual, courteous and careful with our belongings. I give them 5 stars. However, due to excessive rain, our move had to be postponed with about 1/3 of our things left to move. At that point, they had worked 6 hours and charged us for 1 hour of drive time (their office is in Mt. Brook and we were moving from Mt. Brook to Hoover). We called the company to discuss the issue. We were told they could reschedule for two days later, which we did. We were given a quoted price for 8 hours (this included one more hour of moving). One of the movers also told us that it was a hazard for them to be moving in the rain and the company preferred to wait as well. They returned two days later and completed our move. When it was time to pay, we noticed that instead of the 8 hours we'd been quoted, we were charged for 10 hours. They had charged us again for their travel time. This had not been communicated to us at any point in our initial call with the company or with the mover. We paid the total cost, figuring we could work it out with the company since we knew the movers needed to get going to their next move. BIG MISTAKE!!! Our assumption that it was purely an oversight was mistaken. We spoke to Darlene in the office and then one of the owners, Joe Planson. He was unwilling to work with us and stand by the quote given to us just two days before by his employee. He had excuses about the rain, overnight charges (which we had no clue what he was talking about since no one had mentioned this to us) and in the end, lost our business. I would recommend others either use a different company that stands by their quoted price (in writing) or if you still decide to use Changing Spaces Moving, be very clear about how much they're going to charge you and don't pay ahead of time for incomplete, future moves.
