I've used them for two moves over the past two years. In each case, movers showed up on time, worked their tails off, and completed the move within the budget and estimate. They were on time, courteous, and great to work with. I've done some corporate relos in the past with big companies that did not come close to the performance and professionalism of these folks.

You are only as strong as your weakest team member, and this company is no exception to that rule. We utilized Chase on four separate dates during our interstate move this year. We began in January by having our house partially packed into storage for staging purposes; we then had the rest of our belongings moved into storage once we were under contract in June 2019; and our final move out from storage and into our new home in Kentucky was in July 2019. Let me be clear: We are essentially professional movers. My husband is prior military, and we both have moved a combined total of more than 30 times in our lives. We know what is acceptable and typical and what is not, and we would never recommend this company to anyone else. We used Chase for both packing and moving, and we had issues with both. I do want to say that Zach does employ some decent, diligent workers, but the problem is that the bad far outweighed the good in our experience. Below is an itemized list of the issues we had with our move. There were more issues than I have time to list. We absolutely should have saved ourselves the grief and paid thousands more in order to have the job done correctly. 1. Zach insisted that his company would take down our outdoor playset and put it back up at our new home. That was one of the major factors that swayed our decision to hire his company. Instead, it was taken into dozens and dozens of little pieces and was never put together again. To this day, months later, it is sitting in pieces in our garage because he had no follow through on the promise that he made to us. (Also, we have no hardware or instructions to put this very expensive set back together.) 2. Some of the packers who packed our home did an excellent job, but we still have several boxes in our basement that are full of random items that have no rhyme or reason. There was a specific packer whose handwriting we recognize who labeled things incorrectly just to screw with us. For example, items from our young children's bathroom were labeled living room. Nothing in that box came from the living room, and yet, the person who packed it wanted to mess with us and be rude. There were many other boxes with random items from all over our home just thrown in willy nilly. (Shoes with used toilet bowl brushes, dish soap, etc. It was both annoying and disgusting.) We are missing items to this day, and we have completely unpacked with the exception of five miscellaneous boxes that are overwhelming and annoying because they are so ridiculously packed. 3. Our furniture was not properly wrapped and protected. Our master bedroom set is white, and it now is covered in a myriad of dings and scrapes and gouges because it was not properly protected. Infant items were also not properly wrapped and protected. I was aghast as I saw items being loaded into our new home. This issue applies to almost every item in our home. 4. Almost all electronics were separated from their power cord and remote controls. To this day, we have not recovered power cords. We had to invest in purchasing replacements. This also applies to office electronics, such as our printer and laminator. 5. When the movers left our new home in Kentucky, they left four out of the five beds in pieces on the ground because they could not find the hardware to the beds. The one bed that they did put together, a crib, they stripped the bolts so badly that we had to buy replacements anyway when it was time to move the mattress down one level. Again, to this day, we have never found the hardware for the beds, and my husband spent hours at Lowe's finding the right parts to put together four different beds in our home. Clearly, we were unable to stay in the home after the movers left. 5. Zach is a sporadic communicator, at best. My husband has an entire transcript of text messages where Zach with assured him that he was coming to the job site to oversee his packers and movers, and Zach would never show. In addition, Zach showed up in Kentucky with two very young movers (who did work very hard), told my husband he would be at our new home at 9:00 but did not show up until noon. There was no word from him as to why there was a delay. Because he never provided any proof of interstate moving insurance to us, this left us in fear that our belongings would never be seen again. While he ultimately did show up, he vastly understaffed himself for a move into an almost 5000 square-foot home, and he ran out of time. They left our home unfinished because they had the drive back to Florida because he had scheduled another move for himself the next day. Part of being a good businessman is being able to have an organized schedule and be able to properly delegate to your employees.

"Customers are NOT always right" and "I am not going to talk to you anymore because you aren't listening". This is the owner; a rude kid who ultimately destroyed our furniture. It also appears he has no insurance (despite being required by federal law), as he refuses to provide it. I shouldn't have hired this kid's "company", but we had used him once before to move furniture from a house into storage and the guys took 4 hours and were careful with our items. This time, they also took 4 hours, but only to load the same items from storage into a truck! Why the delay? A 40 minute personal call one guy took and the other guy helping a stranger move a mattress in the middle of our move! What?! The damage: Some of the items still had some plastic wrap and blankets on them from the previous move (we have before pics), so we didn't notice the new movers hadn't wrapped anything until we arrived to unload. They also didn't use any of the scores of cushions or flattened boxes we had provided to put between furniture. Instead they placed wood next to metal, lamps and our large, expensive vases were thrown next to each other with no protection and one of our heaviest pieces, a $600 beveled glass TV stand was thrown last minute at an angle on top of our couch. Of course, it slid down, smashed to pieces and tore our $3,100 couch set up on the way! Everything else was also precariously and carelessly placed; vases were broken and of course the rest of the furniture scratched to pieces. The owner's response? A bunch of well rehearsed excuses: "they were only loading, it wasn't our responsibility to be careful!".. What?! " plastic wrap offers no protection!" ... as to why they didn't wrap anything " you didn't provide enough blankets" ... yet the blankets etc., we provided weren't even used " " you should have stood over the guys to make sure they did their job".... Um.. ?! "I have the phone records which show my guy wasn't on the phone" ...yet he refuses to provide them, because he is lying. If I can save one person from hiring this kid's "company" and having their furniture completely trashed, it was worth writing this review. keep in mind he is cheaper for a reason. I have refrained from using the words defensive, nasty and hillbilly, but what everyone else has said is unfortunately true.

I am only giving 2 stars because the move out pod packing was excellent. The move in was a nightmare. I booked 5 weeks in advance and called to confirm. The forgot about me and after being lied to all day they showed up at 6 at night when the pods were being picked up the next am. They had no idea how to put the furniture back together nor where the pieces were that their co packed. Horrible experience!

I don't recommend these people at all. The owner seems nice at first but don't let anything bad happen because he gets defensive and nasty. Worst moving Company I've used in the 4 moves I've done in 2 years. One bed was barely put together and thankfully we caught it before it broke apart. They could care less about your walls or floors while moving things in or out. We were told they would not only disassemble and reassemble beds and hook up washer and dryer. They did so half way and I ended up with a half put together bed and a flooded laundry room. Stay FAR AWAY from this business

RUN JUST RUN AND STAY CLEAR!!! This was a terrible experience. I had a 3 man crew, I had no idea one of the movers was the owner. I kept complaining because he was by far the most unprofessional and the worst mover of all 3. The other two other movers were great. I tipped them secretly on the side because they had to make up from all the terrible work the owner was NOT doing. He was very lazy. He also disappeared at one point for a very long time without explaining. He was the slowest of the movers and he was not very pleasant with his staff and I continual had to go find him. I sure hope those guys find new jobs where they are treated with respect. He broke their backs. The entire job would have been completed much sooner if he actually worked. He acts somewhat pleasant but you can tell he's thoroughly annoyed when you bring up anything. I was a director for a large moving company and we had a detailed conversation about the expectations. He did not come through at all. The owner should not be the laziest person who continually disappears from The job site without explanation. Then he Tried to overcharge me by 30 minutes. Never stated the start times or the fact that he left for 30 minutes. Really unprofessional ESPECIALLY for the owner. I kept asking the movers. Where is he. What's going on with him. No idea the one who continually disappeared was the owner. I disputed the 30 minutes but apparently he's hurting for money so badly that he was willing to lose a huge move over it. He lost that job over his very nasty attitude. This would have easily been a $30,000 move. Take it from me, just find another mover. He's a angry hillbilly who you cannot have a civilized conversation with. He thinks he's right about things and will not listen. I just paid him because he is clearly hurting for money. Read the other post, when anything. Goes wrong he's not professional, he comes across very uneducated in his reactions are super defensive. His wife answers the phone calls for the business, she acts pleasant as well. Until something goes wrong. I can see why she answers the phones. The husband has zero professionalism.

I contacted the company on Tuesday September 5th to schedule a day to move a grand piano from Jacksonville to Atlanta. Wednesday September 6th the moving crew arrived at 9am to disassemble, move and transport the grand piano. By 4pm that same afternoon the piano arrived in Atlanta and was reassembled. I can honestly say it was the smoothest, fastest and most impressive experience I've had with movers. I've worked with white glove professional piano movers in the past and nothing can compare to Chase Richardson and sons moving. I sincerely appreciate the wonderful and careful work you did and wouldn't hesitate to use them again and highly recommend them. many thanks!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! A family member of mine used this moving company in March. During the move, one of the movers broke an expensive piece of furniture. The mover called his boss that day and explained the situation. After a month and dozens of unanswered calls, they came and picked up the damaged piece of furniture to repair it. It is now JULY, and the piece of furniture is in either their possession or their repair person. We don't know! They have refused and refused to answer the phone, yet was very eager to cash a check!

I recently hired Chase Richardson Moving to move me from San Marco to the beach. Two coworkers had used them and highly recommended so I felt secure that they would do a good job. When I called to make the appointment a very nice lady answered and also let me know that the phones are forwarded to their cells after hours or if they are out of the office, which was added security that everything would go as planned. I made an appointment a few days prior and they were even able to accommodate me for that weekend, despite being very busy. They called to let me know when they were on their way, were very professional, funny and extremely hard working. And FAST! It was no easy feat moving my furniture and elliptical up the stairs at my new house but they made it seem like no bother at all! They really took a lot of stress off of me with the move. I will always rely on Chase Richardson Moving in the future and have recommended them to friends when they are moving who have also used them with extreme satisfaction. They are family owned and operated too!
