I used Coleman in Orlando to Pick up and store some items from our business. Then they delivered them to a new location. Colleen Steffler was the person who assisted me. She was so helpful and always answered all of my questions promptly. She has excellent customer service skills. Very friendly and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this moving company. I live in California so I needed some who was there in Orlando to assist me. Very pleased with this service. Judy Robbins

I have to say I was so nervous to pick a long distance mover after reading the reviews left by so many. I went with Coleman Allied because I wanted to stick with a national brand. Maybe I got lucky but I had a wonderful experience from sales to delivery. Everyone did exactly as they promised. The sales team was professional and didn't over sell me on anything. My total was exactly as quoted. The move coordinator was also professional and responsive. She delivered on dates as promised. My driver was awesome! I wanted to hug him at the end. Again did as he promised. The movers at pick up and at deliver made it a point to introduce themselves with hand shacks. Most importantly not one item was broken! I couldn't be happier! I hope this review helps others. Some of us have a positive experience!

I had an extremely negative experience overall. Up front, Larry and Cynthia, part of the quote process and administration efforts, were great to work with. Everything else was not. They took towards the back end of the maximum time window to get my stuff, which in and of itself isn't really a big deal, but they lost an entire queen mattress. I'm not sure how you do that, but that happened, and then they also lost a stand to my computer monitor, for which I could find no replacement and basically had to throw it away, because I cannot use a telescoping mount with my desk/room. I had the local movers pack things and then also assemble them at destination. Furniture was put together wrong or poorly - both of my desks are not bolted down in back and they slightly raise when I use them now. Knives were not secured and one fell out when opening boxes, nearly stabbing my roommate's foot (and from 4 feet up that would have caused some major damage). They misplaced parts for one of the bedframes and had to go and find them and come back several hours later to put it together. Things were poorly packed and several things were not organized well at all - for example, a Playstation 4 was haphazardly tossed at the bottom of a wardrobe box, no padding at all, unsecured to be tossed about however much the box was. I had some bedroom items in kitchen boxes. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS. The office staff is pleasant but the packing, moving, and reassembly is the worst I've ever dealt with. Extremely poor job. Find someone else.

I do not recommend. While initially everything seemed to be a simple, easy process (estimating, scheduling, picking up), the aftermath turned into a nightmare. Originally they told us they would be dropping our things off at our new place (about a 15hr trip) on a Saturday. Thu/Fri they rescheduled for Sunday. The coordinator then provided us with the driver's # since the office would be closed Sunday. Saturday I sent a friendly message to the driver attempting to confirm the drop off and also provide him with my cell; no answer. Sunday comes and at the confirmed drop off time we've not made any contact with the driver (we only had the elevator reserved for a 2 hr time slot). Almost an hour after the driver contacts us and lets us know he's 2 hrs away and "doesn't think" he can make the elevator appointment. Obviously. He then rescheduled for Monday. I understand they allow themselves a window for arrival, but for each reschedule we had to make ourselves available and coordinate with the building. I wish they would have just told us Monday from the start instead of forcing us to continuously change plans. After they arrive, we find out our bed frame is broken (total of $700), a bookshelf is broken ($100) and our flatscreen tv is missing ($900). I found myself stunned. The move itself was $2.5k, how do you manage to cost us $1.5k is damages/losses? I think what irritated me the most was their nonchalant nature about our losses - "yeah you'll just file a claim" they kept saying, without any indication of timeline, reimbursements, etc. "We'll send you a check" was the only answer we got. Meanwhile, our mattress is on the floor, clothes are on the floor, and we have a lost tv. I was floored (literally and figuratively). Not to mention while moving they brought a number of items up that weren't ours and we later found out some of our smaller belongings were found downstairs days later and disposed of by the building before we could retrieve them. And as if that was it, the driver attempted to coordinate a third party to assist in getting new parts to fix our bed frame because he "wasn't comfortable with us having a mattress on the floor" but nothing came of it. He told us someone would be out to see us that day - no one came, called, or followed up. We've had more help from the store we bought the frame from in obtaining new parts. I wish I could say it wasn't that bad, or maybe it was just a fluke, but I get the feeling our experience was pretty standard. UPDATE: We were told 1-2 weeks later (mid October) that our large flatscreen TV was delivered to the wrong house and they had it and were working to reroute it to us. We followed up 2 weeks later (late October) with no response. No response for almost a week. We just received word from Cynthia (a week later) that we would NOT be receiving the TV and would have to file a claim. 1. We've been without the TV since September, it is now November. We would have bought a new one OVER A MONTH ago had we known this was going to happen. 2. After they've acknowledged they HAVE the TV, isn't this just stealing? I mean, someone within the business is walking away with my TV, without a doubt. I really question whether or not they INTENTIONALLY lose people's belongings so that they can keep or sell things worth a lot of value. I'm sure their "claims" process only cuts you a percentage of what the items are worth. I honestly feel like a victim of theft. We may be obtaining a lawyer based on the outcome and the service we received.

On Friday March 2 we were home, expecting what we had always had in the past, a professional packing crew to show up and get the job done. Instead nothing. We had to call to find out what was going on. It seems your move coordinator had coordinated nothing and we had no crew. After a couple of hours of scrambling a subcontracted crew of showed up and waited a couple more hours for two more guys in a minivan that did not have the proper boxes or packing material to complete the job. For this I paid $2,214.00? This crew was very unprofessional, they needed to be told to put something down on the floors to protect the wood and one of them actually said to me "Who are you our chaperone? We don't need a chaperone." To this i responded "no i'm the man paying the bill" one of the other workers witnessed this and that man was reassigned to loading inside the truck, which probably explains some of the damage. When they finished they woke up the driver who proceeded to drive off, without having me sign the manifest or leaving me a copy. We were finally told by Charlene on Monday that our delivery would be Tuesday morning between 8:30 & 10:30 so we spent the day Monday rescheduling everyone for Tuesday. Tuesday comes and there is no truck, again WE had to call the "Move Coordinator" to find out what was going on, only to be told that you did not know where the truck and driver were and could not reach him. THIS IS THE PROFESSIONAL MOVING WE CONTRACTED AND PAID $4,722.16 FOR?? It took hours to figure out what happened, your driver just blew the entire load off and the truck was still in the yard in Orlando!! How can a professional moving company lose track of a truck and driver and not know the truck is still in the yard? You obviously have no intention of making this right, just justifying the poor service and total unprofessionalism of your people. Martin Vah refuses to deal with this. Stay far, far away from this company

Allied needs to find a different sub contractor. I would give them not even -5 Stars they completely destroyed my brand new furniture in the move, stuff got wet, boxes were smashed. Do not use them they are the worst moving company ever. I even ended up with somebody else's things call the company and they still have yet to pick it up. I have had to move across the United States several times and never have I had stuff destroyed like they did. You can also forget about giving you a fixed-price that is not supposed to go up yet they turn around and charge me $600 more.

Allied sounded great but ended up charging more and more as the move progressed. You have more weight that we anticipated. That hot tub is awkard and we need to hire an extra truck to deliver it. Not to mention the fact that at lease one or two boxes went missing as their tracking system is not being followed at all. We ended up with duplicate numbers two, three and a couple of times x 4 on the different boxes. And in their packing they took no care to ship the goods, physically breaking a solid teak bench (ripped the legs right off), damaged a desk again ripped the supports right off the legs... etc., The driver said, not my responsibility if they don't load the trucks right. All Care, no Accountability. Do not use if you can avoid.

I choose Coleman American to do my local move, as they where the cheapest estimate to move my items. The day of my move a crew of four men arrived with a full size semi truck and trailer. This was by far the least professional group of movers that I have ever worked with. They took very little care of the house I was moving out of (did not pad the door frames or do anything to protect the carpet. To get items from the second level to the first, they used our stairs as a ramp instead of carrying items down the stairs. In the process they broke my wife's shoe racks (which we threw away, as it was not worth it to us to fight them over it). They also put some scratches in the back of our leather couch (minor, but they are still there). Just like almost everything in life, its the people you get that make a difference. . But what is really driving my giving them a one star rating was the price that I am going to end up paying. At the end of our move, the driver had me sign an invoice and told me the price cane oyt under estimate. Well today, the office lady called me to tell me that the driver did the math wrong, and the move really came out over estimate by a little bit. Now this still makes them the cheapest option that we had, but to call a customer 9 days after thier move, to tell them that thier invoice was wrong, lacks a lot of class. I recommend that everyone in the Orlando Metro Area not use Coleman American Moving Services. Find a company that cares about your things, and treats them with the attention they deserve.

My family and I recently relocated from the Orlando area to the Bay Area, California (just south of San Francisco). This was our fourth professional relocation and by far, and I mean by far, our worst! Let me provide some examples of both packing and shipping services. However, I do need to say that all of the people involved were generally pretty nice. Packing. 1. The guys showed up on time and even finished somewhat quickly. PLUS 2. They just shoved packing paper into desks and nightstands so as not to move boxes. And yes, these pieces of furniture have been a disaster since (e.g., stuff fallen behind drawers, etc.). MINUS 3. We still can't find the rails to a dresser/mirror combination so that it is back to normal. MINUS 4. Rooms were packed together, not just at the end of the job, but at the beginning. And this is for a 4300 sq ft house, not a college dorm room where everything belongs in the "just get it there room". MINUS 5. A professional musician's keyboard (more than $2000) wasn't packed, but rather just left to be handled by the driver team. BIG MINUS Moving 1. The driver was very nice, and even paid for his own team's food - a pleasant change. PLUS 2. I had a professional keyboard (see #5 above) damaged in such a way that a few of the keys were completely shattered. Not sure what Yamaha could do to repair it, and honestly, I am not even sure it works still. Yet to be tested. Just as an aside, it was moved by being wrapped in a blanket. MINUS 3. Our bookshelves weren't reassembled. MINUS 4. Almost all of our standing furniture lamps have now been bent, some minor, some to where they won't stand by themselves without touching a wall. Think college drinking days... MINUS 5. The driver was never on-time. MINUS 6. An expensive curio cabinet was scratched. MINUS 7. The extra help used for unloading were two awesome, hard-working guys. BIG PLUS To be honest, I would have let most of the damage (including other items like shattered trash cans) slide. However, when I saw my mangled keyboard, that was just too much to write off. It was the beginning of discovering just how bad this move has been. So now we will go through and write up a full claim sheet for the event and seek damages. It has become just that much of a nuisance. I would definitely not use this service again.

Never use Allied Moving! We received our household goods a week ago and each day while unpacking we find more and more broken items. Our leather furniture is ruined. It's obvious it was stored in a damp environment against something blue and the dye transferred onto the white leather. We have not gotten a settlement or even a call back yet.

Never being the type of person to check references or reviews, once I hired Coleman based on the level of confidence displayed by Steve, their sales consultant I was shocked to read the bad reviews on Yelp. Our move was flawless. The packers arrived on time, in uniform and were polite. The loading of the truck the following day was 3 men and they went about their business in a professional manner and delivered our furniture within the time allowed in perfect condition. I would recommend Coleman and Steve to anyone with a move pending...

In my opinion once they get your money, NO communication! The mouth piece LZ in your home to "sell" you is smooth. The crew to pick up furniture, broke the ceiling fan, pushed mattress/box springs on the wooded floors even when I asked them to pick them up. Then they took furniture to the lawn left them in the rain. I asked for the men to get it loaded..out of rain. The twin sisters that own the business does NOT provide good customer service. Wish I had reviewed Coleman's ratings!!! The same crew delivered from Orlando to TN, they switch & put the mattress/box springs/rails on WRONG frames. "Fool me once,....fool me twice...." My second error was I trusted Coleman to deliver my storage! In my opinion after their employees took the containers and items I foolishly entrusted to Coleman, I got what "they" didn't take. I called, text emailed LZ continuously and LZ never returned my calls, texts, e-mails. BROKEN items.....Shoji screen had pins removed and panels scratched, nicked....wall units same. RUN FAST AWAY ! Coleman just wants your money then bye, bye. NO COMMUNICATION The second driver blamed the Coleman employees yet he said he found the pins from the Shoji Screen and would mail them to me. Still waiting for the letter. Local home improvement/hardware stores do not have the pins. With holidays approaching I'm sad I no longer have treasures I was going to pass out to my grandchildren.

This was my third and worst move. I moved from Orlando, FL to Chicago, IL. The pick up and packing from my Orlando home went well. The service began to decline when my contact (Larry) and manager (Cynthia) were negligent in returning calls and setting up the insurance coverage I selected. Not sure how much I wanted to spend, Larry advised me to call when I decided and I did so. Cynthia confirmed by telephone that she received the change information and was processing it. I had reason to call over the course of the few months my items were in storage and getting either of them to return a call was extremely difficult and took multiple attempts. When my furniture was delivered, I had several damaged items. Coleman partnered with Reebie Moving and Storage in Lombard and they did a horrible job. One sofa table was cracked. I took a picture of the way it was delivered...top down, unwrapped, with boxes piled on top. It's no wonder it was cracked. Another sofa table had a gash in it. My wall unit had cracked glass as did a wall picture. All of these items were packed by Coleman. Additionally, an expensive area rug was missing. I filed a claim only to discover that Cynthia had never changed the insurance. Of course, neither she or Larry would own up to our communication about it. So my damaged furniture was worth 60 cents a pound. The movers were negligent in the handling of my furniture. Although I sent pictures of the items piled in a boxed cart and the sofa table with boxes piled high, Coleman didn't acknowledge my complaint. I received a response from the Claims Dept stating their hands were tied because of tariff regulations and suggesting I seek good will from Coleman. However, Coleman's hands are not tied in the interest of good will and customer service. Clearly this was negligence. While I appreciate that insurance covers accidents, it should not give the company employees the right to mishandle furniture and then say "Oh well, you didn't have the right insurance." I'm writing this review so that others dealing with this branch can be aware of the type of service I got. I'll be moving again in a year and you can be sure this time I will not be using Coleman or any Allied affiliate. Not even an apology or any care at all has been extended. Never again!

As with almost every moving company there were pluses and minuses. This was our first out of state move though so we went in with no expectations. For the pluses, our movers and driver were super nice and we appreciated all their hard work. However (not the driver's fault at all, it was a communication issue with the home office), our furniture was supposed to arrive in 3-5 days from the day it was picked up and ended up coming much later (was picked up on a Saturday and didn't come until the next Monday so 8 days later). There were a few very minor damages that were too small to even warrant a claim but inexplicably screws were removed from my newer BOB Duallie SE. It looks like someone had attempted to get it to fold flatter and removed the screws from canopy, which really sort of perplexed me a little since it is a 600 dollar stroller and I had told the sales rep I wanted it treated well. I had to order replacement hardware for it since the middle keeps whacking my kiddos in the arm now. Side note, our quote ended up being well off what we were estimated so be sure to get a guaranteed rate (we didn't add anything in fact we got rid of a LOT more then we thought). All in all I would still recommend since our driver was great and so was his team, just communication needs to be a bit better I feel and I kind of wonder why the missing screws?
