I had a great experience with this company. Chad & Ricky were my movers & they were very professional. They completed my job faster than quoted, but made sure to take care throughout the entire move. They wrapped everything & unwrapped it once at the new location. They explained everything to me very well. I'd definitely recommend using this company if you're moving!

Paul F. and Kendrick S. were very nice. They provided a quick and efficient pickup of a couple couches. I agree with other reviewers that the pricing model is a bit schemey. Quotes online show about 100 bucks for a 1/8 of truck. We had 2 couches to remove, thinking that could not be more than that. Stacked on top of each other... sounds reasonable, no? Anyhow, the trucks are noticeably slimmer than a normal cargo truck, which seems purposefully done to bump you into that next cost bracket. 320 dollars later plus tip and we got those suckers outta here. I like that you can book online and they have a super quick service. They truly are very nice - everyone I dealt with on the phone and the two movers. If we weren't in such a push to get the couches out so quickly, I probably wouldn't have used them because of the pricing. It's pretty variable and you won't know what the cost is till they put stuff in the truck...

Used this company 6/7 months ago to move my larger furniture items and they were amazing! They took about 2.5 hours to move a heavy sleeper couch, table, two dressers, mattress, box spring, side tables, headboard. Used them again today to move the exact same furniture and it took them 4 hrs! :( One of the guys was much more efficient than the other. They took care to wrap everything well, but I did not feel like they were efficient as they could've been (esp. when you know they are charging hourly). It was very hot out and it was a 3 story walk up on both addresses, so I felt bad... they also left some blankets laying on the floor at the bottom of the stairs at my apartment complex. I called them (as they had just left) and they came back to pick them up...but will be looking into other companies the next time I move. I really want to love this company but I was disappointed today. They were very courteous and friendly. A manager of sorts stopped to check in at the starting address which was nice. Just wish todays experience was consistent with my prior one.

As a gay man I have to admit the "hunks" (Andy and Robert) who showed up did not meet my standard for the term "hunk" which was disappointing. However, what they lacked in buff physical appearance they more they made up for in being punctual, efficient, and most importantly friendly! I question whether or not my stuff was donated to charity based on the way it was handled, but I made my effort. They truly helped me out in in a pinch with less than 24-hour turn-around; however, unless in a pinch again I would probably not pay the high price of this service. To reiterate, the two young men who showed up were great, they did all they could do they should get a raise; however, the business as a hole is a letdown for what it advertises itself to be.

These guys are awesome and very professional. I had a pretty difficult job, removing a large oven, from my restaurant and these guys did it. Everyone was so nice and helpful. I spoke with Billy, the owner, and he set everything up for me and even stopped by the restaurant to make sure everything was going well. When I say a big job, this oven was old and extremely heavy. College Hunks removed it and disposed of the oven as well. Our company has used them at other restaurants Becca use they did such a great job! Thank you again and I highly recommend this company if you are planning on moving anything!!!!

Had many boxes to be removed from office. Called College Hunks and they arrived quickly and completed the work efficiently. Pleased with the service and would reuse if needed. Andy and Willie were courteous and completed the work in 2 hours. Followed directions and were respectful of our office when doing the required trips back and forth to the truck

There are many choices when it comes to movers. I made the mistake of hiring this company. Their pricing model confirms a lower price and then at the job site they tell you it will be a lot more. I feel bad for the crew as they are the ones having to deal with the false pricing scheme. I wrote to the company and completed their survey because they "are committed to my satisfaction". However, I never heard from anyone and no one followed up which is indicative of their culture. Save your money and do your research. There are many other great options out there.

This is my second experience with College Hunks & again I could not be more pleased. From the initial call, to Justin coming for a walk through to the final move; they made a stressful moving experience as stress free as possible. Tariq, Kevin H & Torey were an amazing team & incredibly professional, pleasant & enjoyable. They made recommendations & explained the process every step. Would definitely recommend College Hunks

They moved me 2 months ago. I have been trying to resolve my issues with them for the past two months, mostly my broken tv. I think they are just waiting it out to see if I get tired. I tried to talk to the regional office who told me to talk to the local franchise. Here are the items I wanted to discuss with the local franchise. The crew broke the gate arm coming into my apartment complex.  I wasn't there so I don't know what happened, but I was later told by the manager on the phone that they weren't tailgating to get it, but as they didn't call me from the call box, I'm not sure how else they would have gotten through the gate.  After this, I had the management at the apartment complex banging on my door to aggressively complain about this and tell me that I would have to pay for the gate.  So far, nothing has come of that, but given the lack of communication they have had, I'm really nervous if they do end up charging me that they would not take ownership of the problem.   I was told that the reason my management was so enraged was because their manager at the scene had an altercation with them over this.  I find that completely unprofessional and unacceptable, no matter how my management acted.  To me, there doesn't seem to be a scenario in which the crew wasn't tailgating to get into the apartment complex, since again, they didn't use the call box, so they were obviously in the wrong in this situation and should have been respectful to the management on site. (And I don't believe it was the fine young gentlemen on the crew, but again, the manager who was with them that had the confrontation). The crew showed up with only 2 guys, instead of the 3 that were supposed to come.  It was at least an hour of just the two of them, which caused the move to take longer than it should have. The 3rd guy had apparently been working since early that morning and was obviously fatigued, further slowing down the move. Driving time between the old apartment and the new apartment was 3 times longer than it took me.  I got to my new place in a little over 30 minutes.  It took them about an hour and a half.  Granted they got a little lost and they told me that they were going to stop to get some water.  They did take a little time off the clock for this, but I still don't understand the huge discrepancy in travel time.  There was some damage to my new apartment, a scratch of the wall and a chip off the cabinets, with them bumping stuff into them. When I was talking with the manager who was taking my payment, I mentioned that I had some things to discuss, but as it was almost 10pm I didn't have the energy to get into too much detail at the time, and also the guys were around so I didn't feel comfortable talking about all of this in front of them after they worked really hard for the last few hours.  I didn't feel comfortable talking about the price or the other issues with them and asked the manager to send me the phone number so I could call the next day and discuss.  He told me that he would text me the phone number.  He did not. My television, which I filed the claim about, was damaged in the move.  I hadn't gotten it hooked up until a few days later as I had to go out of town on business right after moving, so I didn't find out a for a few days.  I had a repairman come and look at it.  He told me that it was damaged due to an impact of some sort and suggested that it would cost as much as a new tv to fix it.  It worked fine before the move and now has damage, so I can only assume it happened during the move.  As you know, I have yet to receive a follow up on this. I want to say that the guys worked really hard and were really pleasant and good-natured.  I don't fault them for most of my dissatisfaction, but I think in their youthful exuberance, they could have used a little bit more caution. But the 2 stars were because they tried hard. Otherwise, 1 star mostly for their lack of customer service and care.

just now I had originally hired All My Sons Moving, but the manager Chad called me 30 minutes before the 8am arrival time to tell me he didn't want to wake his boys up for my move since it was raining. Turns out they had booked another job too close and after a 6 hour delay ultimately cancelled on me in a huff mid-move because of the rain. After calling around, I finally connected with College Hunks and after learning what happened they graciously arranged to have a truck at my home first thing in the morning. The manager Troy let me know when the movers would be there and they got there early, before 8am. Luis and Jared were extremely personable and professional. They gave a truly customer friendly experience and made sure everything went smoothly, explaining prices for add-ons to ensure some of my more fragile items were protected. Troy even checked in with me to make sure the move was going well before the job was completed. The price for my move was competitive and there were no surprises on my final bill. Wish I had called them first. Not only do they work in the rain, but if they do have to cancel for unforeseen conditions they give 24 hours notice.

Wouldn't recommend. I did more of the hauling myself during the time they were there. Talked to a VP after the experience and was told my feedback was valuable...to the point where it will help in future staff trainings. And was offered a discount in the future...um...I moved. I could've dealt with a discount on what I paid for.

STAY AWAY... DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.. if I could give zero stars I would, when I called to schedule the move they gave me a quote of 500$ and when they were all done they told me it took a lot longer then expected and the price was 1300$ ummm ok that's a huge difference.. Also the two guys that moved us broke the leg off of our beautiful $1000$ dining room table because they didn't feel like taking the legs off of it to get it in the elevator. They told me I could make a claim after I paid them in full. So now three weeks later and the three legged table is still laying in the middle of my dining room. I've made multiple calls to them for three weeks and finally I get a call back telling me they are not replacing it but they have a handy guy that can try to fix it...This company is awful no accountability. Do yourself a favor and save yourself a headache and find another company.. Do not pretend you have no record of me in the Orlando location stop it with that, I definitely remember what company and location I highered to move me. Roy and Patricia George from Magnolia Ridge to Lake Mary.

When I initially placed a review it was after this company assisted in a move. Once preparing to move again is when I noticed a massive whole in my TV stand. Because of the way it's made you can flip it and easily cover up damage. They could've told me they'd broken it instead of trying to hide it. Very deceitful.

We called them to have a load picked up, and they quoted between $126-$269. When they arrived and saw the work, they said it would cost $480. After they started they said the price would be "Double or triple", but they wouldn't know until they were finished. We paid them $300 for 1 hours work, and they barely took anything. Do not use them! Ripoff.

Latest Update: This company has responded to my complaints with FL agencies by stating that they offered me resolution offers that never happened. Not just that but they are claiming that they offered to honor the additional coverage but I chose not to take them up on it. In the response they are stating that they are going to take LEGAL ACTION AGAINST ME. After damaging over 4K of my belongings that I have now had to replace since they didn't repair any of it and offering me an emailed resolution of 150.00 they are threatening to take legal action against me. This is rich considering I'm not lying. All I've done is tell the truth about my experience with this company Events that occurred: On the weekend of 3/10 I hired the above mentioned mover to pack my belongings and move them to a storage unit. I have a very expensive bedroom set worth almost 4K so I requested bubble wrap for each of the 4 columns of my bed on top of blankets etc. I paid for additional boxes and for wrapping for cups, plates and other glass items. Once my new home was ready I hired them to move me from the storage on 8/28. I was asked if I wanted additional insurance on my belongings and I said yes. I asked them to explain the additional coverage requirements and the lead for the moving company (named Sean) told me I could pick any from the list so I picked the 10K coverage. My entire bedroom set is made of solid wood. They dropped all the furniture off and began building my bed and dresser. I started to notice issues with the move when they dropped off one crutch that was bent but when we left the storage there were 2 crutches. After they left I noticed they didn't rebuild the bed properly it was loose and unstable. The movers chose to try and hide this rather than explain the damage that was caused to my bedroom set. After 3 visits to correct the bed issue finally the moving company employees admitted that it could not be corrected by them because they had shredded the wood on the canopy bed. None of the damages that were done to my furniture were acknowledged nor documented by the movers. They instead didn't mention it in hopes that I wouldn't notice. Every pillar had wood chipped off as do the headboard, footboard and dresser. I opened a claim. I went to setup my 60" tv which they packed upside and with the base attached because they drilled through one of the screws when they attempted to disassemble it. I turned on the tv and the screen was cracked. I opened my 40" tv which they apparently threw in a box with no protection on the screen and found that they didn't pack the power supply for the 40 inch tv. I opened a box and they had packed they literally took a dish strainer full of plates and cups and simply dropped it in a box and closed it. I opened a box that had 3 glasses in one glass protector and was packed with a bunch of household cleaners. I have opened a claim. When I finally got a call back from the VP of the franchise (Amanda Cook) she tried to justify the packing and moving job by saying that she often packs glass this way. She went through justifications from the fact that her employees are young and that she hires vets. She never took ownership of the fact that the job done was poor. She offered to let me have the additional coverage but I had to pay for it because they forgot to charge me the additional 105 for the coverage. I explained that I didn't feel I should pay them more on top of having to pay the deductible for the coverage when the job done was so poor. I agreed to pay for the additional coverage but explained that I would file a complaint against the company if they chose not to waive it. She finally agreed to waive it but never honored that and in fact pretended that wasn't our agreement. The company is refusing to honor the additional insurance because they forgot to charge me for it on the final invoice nor are they offering to cover my furniture at the state mandated rate per pound. They ignore my continuous requests to have the final resolution offer sent to me in writing. At this point they are simply ignoring me and closing my claim every time I open one. In total I have paid this company 3K and they damaged almost 5K worth of my belongings. My bed is still not fully stable and they are offering no resolution. I spoke with corporate this morning and the franchise closed my claim without resolving any of it. Last week they made me an offer to replace my 60" tv with a 55" inch tv, not replace the 40" at all. Give me a 600 refund and not fix my bed at all. I refused that offer. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. I have filed complaints with the state attorney general, FMCSA, BBB and a few other agencies and by the end of this week I will be filing litigation. The unethical practices of this franchise need to be exposed.

Awesome moving service! Brian C. and Cesar S. in the UF Gators truck did an amazing job today! 1. It was like 100 degrees outside and they were still super fast! Moved from a 3rd story to a first floor. They conquered those stairs!!! :) 2. I have a 14-yr old bloodhound Boris who can make things with moving a bit messy! Without their help I don't know what I would've done. 3. They handled everything with care from art to plants to furniture. :)) 4. They had great upbeat personalities and made me feel comfortable and were great to Boris. Thank you thank you thank you Brian C. and Cesar S.! You rock!!!!

I was very impressed with the staff and service of College Hunks Hauling Junk. I called them to pick up a load of trash my neighbors left when they moved out. We have Hurricane Irma heading our way and this team could get rid of the junk before the storm so it didn't cause any damage. Jackie was amazing, she put me at ease the moment I was connected to her and got a pick-up arranged for the same day! Wendy was able to confirm all the details for my HOA president and set the account up for success. She also connected me with Trent, the manager to confirm they could bill the HOA and would be in touch with the president of the HOA. In all, great, fast service. I would recommend them and use them again!

Great job by JayBe and Randy - the guys were professional, polite and articulate. They took away the "junk" quickly (actually a high-end, dated entertainment center) quickly from our Florida home... Finally, if you use this company, just make sure you remember when you were struggling college students and leave a nice tip for them!
