I would definitely recommend College Hunks for your next move! Starting from the quote/booking process to the day of the move, everything was easy and painless. The "hunks" were beyond friendly and professional. I was shocked and how quickly they were able to pack and move everything while being gentle enough to ensure nothing was damaged. Anything I asked for them to do, they were happy to help!

HORRIBLE!! Scheduled a time and day for them to come and move, they did NOT meet that appointment due to "truck broke down". Rescheduled to inconvenient AM appointment and wants to charge us more for what they originally quoted. Got to storage to unload. They did NOT utilize storage space at all. HUGE amount of space in the back and all the heavy furniture in the front. Threw furniture on top. I'm expecting my belongings to be broken because of their careless work, but hoping they are intact. Might be a good company, but horrible employees.

If I could give them a ZERO I would. Had 2 written offers from Junk King and Dump Squad both for $100 to have a large desk removed. College hunks quoted me $90 so we went with them. Had the guys come up looked at the desk and they said $90 to $120. Based on volume. Little more than we wanted but whatever. That desk was literally the last thing we need removed from our apartment so we said ok at the 120 being max. Somehow they got the desk downstairs it went to $205. My ENTIRE move with Pete's Quality Movers was $637 for 6 hours of work moving a 2 bedroom apartment on the second floor to a 3 story townhouse. College Hunks charged me 1/3 my entire move for 1 lousy desk!!!!!!!!!!! 205 for ONE DESK!!! When I contacted College Hunks they made a claim number and told me the franchise has 3 days to contact me. 3 days??? So I have to wait even more time to just talk to someone about them changing the price as soon as it was downstairs. Run away. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! They will lie to your face. Save your money and go ANYWHERE else and you will be treated better.

Given some of the previous reviews on here, I was hesitant about using College Hunks. I'm glad I gave them a chance. Donte and Joe were so nice and helpful. Poor guys were working their butts off in extreme heat and humidity and wouldn't even take a break when I offered them drinks. They were sure to keep all of our belongings secure and we didn't have any damages. I would definitely use this company again.

I DO NOT recommend using this moving company. Their movers are young and inexperienced, they did not take extra care of our furniture beyond wrapping it. I own a fabric, white headboard and side-rails and they didn't bother to wrap that item at all. I have since paid to have it professionally cleaned because there were dirt and handprint marks all over the white fabric. I emailed the moving company to let them know and there was no reply. I have since noticed that i am missing a rather large piece of framed artwork. It was put on their truck but not delivered to my home or at best, not removed from their truck. I called to see if they might have some insight to the pictures' whereabouts and i was told there was nothing they could do. Im disgusted by their lack of compassion for my personal belongings and will continue to tell anyone who will listen about my negative experience with their company.

BUYER BEWARE! College Hunks is a bait-and-switch company. Sure, they're kind and seem customer oriented, but pricing is another story. The final price was THREE TIMES HIGHER THAN THEIR WRITTEN ESTIMATE! Will never use them again.

Extremely unhappy. I set this up. The St. Petersburg Franchise was supposed to meet me at my office for a minor move of 3 items on a saturday. They did not show up during the time they said they would (a 1 hour window), nor did they call me or contact me in any way to tell that they were late. I finally had to call College Hunks Tampa, was on hold 20 minutes, and when they were unable to tell me when or if they would arrive, I cancelled the move. I was assured my deposit would be refunded quickly. 2 weeks later and it still has not been done although I have called three times and was assured it would be. Is this how to run a business? is this customer service? I would recommend finding any other moving company

Don't make an appointment with this company. I had a few companies to chose from and I really need to get some junk removed the same day like they promised. I booked a 4-6 window. I got a phone call saying they would arrive at 6:00. Then I got a second phone saying 7:30. Then a third call saying it is too late after working hours and we have to cancel and reschedule... now I'm stuck. Should have went with 1-800-gotjunk from the start.

College Hunks service was amazing . Talked to Hudson and he was able to accommodate my move exactly the time frame I needed it by . I assumed it would take them 6-7 hours , Demetrius and Matt were super efficient and made every minute count, did not take nowhere near the time I thought it would take .

This was a bad experience. They're over priced and so big (corporate) that they can't keep track of their customers. An example when growing does harm. They charged us extra for things like putting misc items in boxes without asking us and then charging us more. They love to slap on those extra fees (like moving isn't hard enough). Sorry we never leave bad reviews but this was just such a bad experience. This was for last year in July 2018. Maybe tell people when you're going to charge for stuff?

Watched a mattress fly out of their truck in brandon on Saturday and smash a car. Pulled up beside them to let them know. The driver gave me a dumb look and kept driving. I dont think I've ever heard anything good about this company honestly.

This company literally damaged every piece of furniture, which was moved. (Going to add pictures). Stain on my couch, my sons changing table, bedroom dresser, tempur pedic (4000 USD) box spring is completely filthy. Now, I have to get a new bedroom dresser, changing table for my baby I am expecting, and I also can't get the stain on my couch out. The answer of the company. "The good news is your dressers do not have any damage. As long as you can not show me any damage I won't send somebody out to fix it." By the way I sent pictures (the same ones uploaded here to the manager). And an other part of the managers answers was that we do not have a bed frame and that would be the reason the box spring looks the way it does. Additionally, the movers were very very slow. The poorest and most crooked people I have ever dealt with. Never again! Now I have to replace almost all of my furniture, since several people were not able to fix the dressers. The company reimbursed an amount of 110 USD, which is ridiculous to what we had to pay for the move and damaging all of our furniture.

These guys were really great both times I used their services. The first time was just to remove an old couch. The second time was to haul away some junk and pack up all of our stuff to move across the country. The team of 3 guys came in and had our entire apartment packed within the 2 hour minimum. Everything made it intact across our 1,000+ mile trip. The crew was always extremely polite and professional. The Tampa crew really has things together. They made things completely stress free for my wife and I.

I spent a LONG time on the phone with a representative of this company to try to pin down an estimate. The guy insisted on a meeting at my home to get the estimate exact which I finally agreed to. THEY NEVER SHOWED UP AFTER TWO HOURS OF WAITING. Run don't walk away from this company-totally unprofessional RIGHT FROM THE JUMP

Once the move actually happened, it was fine. But, it was delayed by one day due to a broken door on the truck. Doors break. But, you don't send one out on a job with a broken door. They loaded the truck and then had to unload it and come back the next day. Kinda ruined the whole weekend.
