I used this service for my post divorce move, and it was the smoothest best move ever. Joe, AJ and Brent were rock stars! I will use them on my next move and recommend them to anyone needing a local mover. They knew what they were doing and worked fast, but safe.

I have moved about a million times. I know good movers, and have been underwhelmed with the Florida crews I've worked with. I was getting lunch and saw a guy in a tee shirt for this moving/packing company. I needed packing, and told him I was taking his picture. I had a great crew. Joe, Joe, and "Joe." I recommend them for any packing/moving job. They worked carefully and quickly. They did NOT pack my espresso machine, although they teased me about it.

Amazing!!! We would hire these guys again in a heartbeat. Vern came out to give us an estimate, talked us through the process, and offered tips that would help keep our cost down and make the move quick and efficient. They called the day before to confirm and showed up promptly the next day. The two guys they sent were courteous, hard-working, fast and very efficient. We couldn't believe how fast they moved our entire apartment (which was on the third floor!) If you need movers, do not hesitate to hire these guys!!

Not sure why there are 2 Doug's Hourly Movers listed but avoid. Showed up 3 hours late with no real apology. Packed the kitchen by literally throwing things in a box. Unpacking was eventually left to me all they wanted to do was leave, remember they showed up three hours late and now it was going on 6p... damaged many pieces of furniture, ripped the handle off a dresser, broke the wheels off the bottom of another, scratched the top of an antique chest, tore the bottom out of the box springs, tore the backing on a number of framed pictures by just grabbing the top of the frame, to name a few. They were so nasty to work with I quit trying to get things repaired.

Man, these guy's were good and fast--did not waste any time at all came in at HALF! the quoted time 3.5 hrs vs 6 so saved me a lot of money--it helped a lot that I labeled where everything was going and I packed my own boxes--Mike,Jake and Joe on 24Mar2018 did the company proud!

Avoid... and why. 1. Unloading (experience #1) ..... I have used and would use again. Actually that was a 5 star experience. Notice their name implies muscle and not skill. 2. Loading (experience #2): even though I supplied 5 dozen blankets only 2 dozen were used and things like wooden furniture were wrapped in the clear plastic wrap with no blanket. Lots of damage to lots of wood items. Also, heavy boxes were stacked on light boxes leading to more damage. This is amateur stuff. THE DAMAGE IS NOT WORTH THE SAVINGS USING DOUG'S HOURLY MUSCLE. ... almost forgot..... broke a window in our house that I had to discover 3. Fine print: if they load your truck but don't drive it they aren't going to cover any damage.

This was the LEAST stressful moving experience with a moving company that I have had, and for that I am thankful to Doug's Hourly Muscle. If I move again, I will ABSOLUTELY hire them. I moved from my condo to a house about 40 minutes away. I spoke with Alex several times on the phone to discuss the move, and pricing. He was professional and very helpful. They were stuck in traffic on the day of the move, and called to let me know they were going to be a little late. (Happens to all of us). I appreciated the communication and it wasn't a problem at all. Three men came to move my belongings. They were extremely nice, and respectful of my things. They moved quickly and carefully not to scratch my furniture or the walls or doors on their way out. I didn't have any unexpected costs associated with the move (I have had other moving companies try to charge for things that they didn't discuss prior to the move). I had almost everything packed and ready to go before they got to the condo, however they had large boxes for me to use to put couch pillows and other miscellaneous things in. I have used these guys several times now, first for work, and then for personal use. They're fantastic! They always call to confirm the day before, they call when they're on the way, they show up on time, they work blazingly fast, and they're just plain nice. It's a pleasure dealing with honest, hard working folks. The price is good, the service is amazing, and it just makes the job easy when you know you can count on the folks moving your belongings. They treat objects with care, and out of all the moves I've used their services on, I've never had a piece scratched or broken (which is more than I can say with other movers we used in the past).

These guys were great! Took care of helping us finish packing on our very tight timeline, and were flexible in allowing the use of another truck. Jackie and Doug back at the office were great to deal with, and the pricing was extremely fair! I would highly recommend Doug's to anyone needing movers in the greater Tampa Bay area!

Originally found Doug's Muscle Movers on Angie's List as a highly rated moving company and have to say that I agree with the reviews on Yelp and Angie's List. These guys were wonderful - fast, but careful with our belongings. They were light hearted and jovial with one another, yet never wasted time. I was surprised to find that our moving day was actually fun! I liked the professional look of the moving trucks and the movers. Even the neighbors remarked on how professional it was. One bonus is that Doug came to the house before moving day to "train" me on how to pack and have things ready for the move. He also left enough used boxes, packing paper, and new packing tape to make packing easy. This saved me money with new Uhaul boxes. After the move he came out to the house and picked up the boxes and packing paper. Love that this company recycles and their service is A+. Really impressed with the whole group!

Had the guys come out and move a lot of my bigger items. They went from my new place to my uncles house to drop off and pick up a couch, then Timmy old house I loaded everything from my new house, packed up my stuff, put furniture back in my old house and then moved everything to my new location, they were quick and efficient and delightful to work with, this is the third time I have used Doug's hourly muscle and have been pleased every time
