We used Elite to help us pack our condo in Connecticut into our moving POD. They arrived on time, worked hard and they were able to pack every last item from the condo into the POD. We settled temporarily in Charlotte and needed Elite movers help us with our move to Myrtle Beach. Once again they arrived on time to our POD location in Charlotte and unpacked the POD into our Uhaul truck, they then followed us to our apartment in Charlotte to pack remaining items into the truck. Once in Myrtle Beach we hired Elite moving to help us unpack the Uhaul truck into our new house. They were on time and unpacked the truck in record time. Would highly recommend Elite, every State that we used them in resulted in the same high standards.

I used movinglabor.com for a move recently, to pack household items and load them onto a moving truck. They set us up with ritenowmovers, and the experience was regrettable. We contacted ritenowmovers before the job to get an estimation of time (which he quoted us 5-7 hours) and for them to bring all the needed moving boxes and supplies. The day arrives, and it was terrible. A crew of 3 was there for nearly 12 hours, and they packed at best 75% of the house. They ran out of supplies less than half way through the day. We asked them how much more they needed, and went to the store and bought more supplies than they asked for. They ran out of supplies again quickly. We went to the store again, getting more supplies than they requested. This happened an additional 3 times! We complained multiple times to ritenowmovers during the day, and we were assured the pace would pick up and things would be made right. Neither happened. We ending up spending much of the day packing ourselves. At the end of the day, the job was not finished. The moving truck was filled, but the packing was not done. It took 4 people an additional 4 hours the next day to pack. After arriving at the destination and unpacking, our frustration grew. They had packed the kitchen table without removing the legs. They did not support the bottom of the table with anything, and put heavy boxes on top. I have moved 4 times previously, and every time the movers took off the table legs and packed the table properly. Of course we discovered a significant crack on the top of the table. There were a number of other items damaged that were not packed properly. We discovered that about 10 boxes that were packed were half full or less. There were items scattered around the moving truck and not packaged properly. The crew also took an expensive table lamp and wedged it between boxes in the moving truck rather than packing it in a box. Unprofessional. The owner of ritenowmovers gave us a discount the day of, but it nowhere near compensated for the time (despite promising significantly less time), the poor packing job that resulted in damaged items, and the additional hastle of having to finish an uncompleted job ourselves. I wrote a formal email to ritenowmovers with the complaints, and heard nothing for weeks. While waiting, I called movinglabor.com and submitted a formal complaint. The employee I dealt with said the right things at first, but then started to make excuses. I told him about the time, and he told me that the job could easily take 12 hours. He completely missed the point that we were given a 5-7 hour estimate, and it took at least 3 times that long, considering how much time we spent packing that day and the next. He told me that is not always necessary to take the legs off the table for packing. Every moving professional I have talked to before and since that has told me differently. After not responding to a number of emails and phone calls, he gives me some legalize about how they can't be held responsible for damaged items unless they are reported while the movers were on site. Well, maybe we could have watched the movers more closely if we weren't spending all our time packing and going to the store and getting packing supplies for them. The issue is not resolved with movinglabor.com yet, but I do not feel like my complaint was taken seriously enough, and as far as I am aware of, has amounted to anything. It seems like they were just covering themselves, and not willing to take to take responsibility. As far as my interactions with ritenowmovers, I had sent a well thought out email, complete with photos, that overviewed the issues we had. After a number of weeks, we got a response that had a photo of the table in the moving truck with the heavy boxes on it, saying 'Here was how your table was packed. No damages were caused by my crew.' If he would have read the email and looked at the photos, he would have seen that the crack was on top of the table, and could not been seen from the photo. He did not respond to all the other complaints I had in the email. I replied several times to this email, and still haven't heard a word from him. He told me the day of that he wanted to make it right, but his actions show that this wasn't really meant. Both ritenowmovers and movinglabor.com have been very slow to respond to complaints, and it has been a bad experience overall. I strongly recommend not going through either company, and finding companies that care for your possession and care to make it a good experience for you, or take ownership if things go wrong.

The did get the few items from point to point. Of course my dining room table is destroyed and the bedroom furniture received a fair beating but only on the visible areas of wood so I guess i should be thankful the drawers still work. Would I have use them again....only if i had no other options given how much was damaged in a four mile move from single story house into two story house.

The lead guy was very professional but the two other guys acted like they never performed a move or packout before. I specifically asked for mature and experienced pros but I did not get them. One of the mover/packers was over an hour late and we later learned that he had placed some of our tools and equipment in the basement window wells. Apparently, he was going to come back later and take these items. Fortunately, we found them before he came back that night. This same guy was late the 2nd day as well.

Why are zero stars not an option? Absolute worst experience ever. Movers (B&L Labor Services) were scheduled to arrive between 1:30 & 3:30. I spoke with the "Project Manager" (Lewis) who told me they would be there around 4:00 since they were running behind. Originally was supposed to be another team but they ran behind too, so Lewis' team was supposed to come out. 4;00 comes and goes, no movers. He texted me shortly after to tell me now he wouldn't be there until 5:20. I called ELM to inquire why they are running so far behind. ELM assured me Lewis' team would be there by 5:20. 5:20 came and went. I texted Lewis at 5:23 with no response. Called him at 5:31, no answer. Called ELM again who weren't any help. Finally got a text at 5:38 that said the movers would be there in 4 minutes. 5:45 two movers finally showed up with no equipment (dollies or tools), as promised by ELM. Also, I had booked and paid for 3 movers, not two. The guys that showed up said Lewis told them there was just one 26' truck and that I was providing the dollies. Never once did I tell anyone I was providing any equipment. I also had told them when I booked there was going to be 1 completely full 26' truck and another half full. An ELM rep (Ben) confirmed that was the case. The guys that showed up were father and son and the son clearly had never helped move before. What should have taken 3 experienced movers (which I was promised by ELM) at most 4 hours took 6.5 hours. This was in large part because they insisted on putting everything in the garage and then only moving it when I told them to. The movers also took breaks, literally every 15 minutes. I watched them get up from break, bring one, maybe two, boxes to the garage, carry my solid oak cedar chest to the front steps and leave it there on the wet ground and they went and sat down in the back of the moving truck. They also brought a couch, that really isn't that heavy, left it in my foyer and went on another break. My wife and I ended up moving it to the Living Room. The movers moved all of the boxes in to the house instead of unloading the furniture first. What this caused was an absolute mess in the house as there was no room to easily bring in the furniture. The guys didn't help put anything together, again as promised by ELM, and we were left with cluttered rooms and my entire family was stuck sleeping on the floor. I was also left with numerous hand prints on my walls, as well as gashes in the walls, and the movers took the protective plastic off of my mattress and got their sweat all over it as they moved it. The moving company did take some off the bill, but nowhere near enough to fix the damage to the walls, compensate for the fact that myself and my wife had to help the movers, or for the aggravation. When I called ELM to complain, there response was something to the effect of, "you hired the movers to do a job, they did it, so you need to pay them." Wrong, ELM hired them, not me. My agreement was with ELM. Clearly they do not care about their customers. I paid my bill and will move on, lesson learned. I will make sure everyone I know knows to never use either of these companies. I would easily pay triple the original price I was quoted simply to avoid dealing with them.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Much like the other stories here, I was promised a 11-1pm arrival. At 10:30, I called to double check on arrival window, was told by 3pm they would be there. At 3:00 PM ELITE was still a no-show. At this point, I had waited 4 hours for the outsourced movers (That's right, ELITE does not have their own team of movers, they subcontract it to someone; they don't tell you who until the day of the move). I called corporate headquarters in FL to see what was going on. They promised a 4pm arrival, still no-show bozos ELITE. At this point I had enough of the waiting game with ELITE, I cancelled my contract. They did NOT want to refund my full $95, even though they did not hold up their end of the contract. This was due to the fact, that because they could technically still move me (at 7pm with a storm coming, yeah right!! Do they even care about worker conditions/OSHA?!) In my books, if you didn't hold up your end of the contract, why are you keeping my money? They did NO SERVICE for $95. I had to get extremely nasty on the phone with Corporate to finally get a full refund back...after THEY hung up on ME. DO NOT HIRE!!!! NO-SHOW BOZOS!!!

DONT EVER USE THIS COMPANY. I was never told over the phone when i spoke with anyone about a $50 cancellation fee. Not once. I understand within 24 hours or maybe even 48 I should be charged however I cancelled 2 weeks a head a time and told them before I made the reservation that I was looking around. This is the only company that I know of who charges this fee. They are a bunch of scammers and a horrible company

Stay away from this company. They promised a 12-2pm arrival and didn't show. In fact, I had to call them at 2pm to find out where they were. The mover then said they were running an hour late. 3pm rolled around, I again I had to be the one to call. They then wanted me to reschedule the next day ( if you can believe that). I had to return the truck and by 6pm, only 3 heavy pieces remained. This dishonest company is keeping my 50 dollar deposit. This business is a broker, a middleman. All they do is try and hire local movers and take your money. Do your self a favor, save money and hire direct. They are dishonest and a rip off. Update:, the better business bureau called me to let me know that Elite Movers would refund my deposit in return for me removing any negative posts, online, essentially trying to bribe me.... I rejected this offer because THEY are in the wrong. Their own website states Guaranteed scheduling..."we always arrive as scheduled". Obviously they don't always arrive as scheduled. I expected an honest company w integrity to say, we apologize for not contacting you to let you know we are running late and since our movers never showed, we are refunding you your deposit. Sadly they never did, because they don't care about their customers...

Don't Use Them! I moved from Cincinnati, OH to San Antonio, TX Apr 2016. Long story short, I had a boat load of damages and this company basically washed their hands clean, saying I signed a waiver releasing them from damages to my property. First off, who in the world would do this? They dropped my washing machine when trying to dead lift from the ground to the truck. They couldn't use the ramp (not my fault) and they didn't bring a dolly (which they had to go get). But they claimed not using the ramp relieved them from the liability. What kind of business is this? I blame myself for not properly vetting them and I think they prey on single women who are stressed out from the myriad tasks of moving. I was moving by myself from my sold 4-bedroom house to a 2-bedroom apartment out of state. It was quite stressful. This will be the cheapest quote you get from moving companies to pack your household goods but trust me, it is not worth the anguish of the truck arriving and you discover so much damage to your property. On top of that, they're not responsible for the damages--who does that? I'm retired military and this is the worst company I've ever dealt with in 30 yrs! They are just warm bodies just looking to take your money--they show up without a dolly or weight belts and don't secure your load with the ratchet straps I bought/provided. I even insisted on them using the straps but they told me it would be OK. My gut told me they didn't know what they were doing but I was on a time schedule to move out of my house, that I had just closed on, to get to San Antonio. My son had to catch a flight back the next day. I thought I could pull it off with mmy detailed planning. Worst moving experience ever. Save yourself the stress and stay away from them!

I live in Denver, Co. I was searching for a local company to provide moving labor to unload two pods. I had a horrible experience with so many local companies (particularly Grass Roots - beyond unprofessional!!). I just gave up and decided to go with a "national" company. I signed up online with Elite and it was extremely easy. Before my move date, I got a call from Jermaine at The Wright Move - they are a local company subcontracted by Elite to do my move. The guys that moved me were really professional, courteous, and went above and beyond with what they were doing. They were on time, stayed UNDER the quote and even offered a third mover at no additional charge. I got the best of both worlds - comfort of a nationally recognized company and the satisfaction of hiring a local company who was simply the best of the best.

I have moved many times in my life and used many different types of movers. This was by FAR the WORST experience I have ever had. The packers were 1 hour and 15 minutes late (past the latest window). They did not properly pack or wrap anything. They did not empty the dressers before loading them onto the trailer. Many things were broken. They took DOUBLE the time I booked them for but said they'd cut me a deal "off the books" if I paid in cash. They also refused to put the ramp back in the trailer at the end of the evening. I could go on and on. However, when I called elite overs they were completely unconcerned and unresponsive. HORRIBLE experience. If I could rate then ZERO stars I would.

Called this company the same day we needed to move the contents out of out 16 ft pod because Purple People Movers cancelled on us last minute. They came an hour after we called. They stayed exactly to the quote. Two awesome movers came who were really friendly. They moved a full 16 ft pod in 2 hrs without complaints. Pretty inexpensive and fast. Would definitely recommend them!
