These guys are awesome! Our neighbor gave us a new fridge, we tried to move it ourselves at first which was a terrible idea. I called Gaelic movers at 630pm to see if they could help and they were here by 7:15. By 7:45pm we had our old fridge out and new one in! They were kind and professional. My three year old wanted them to stay and hang out hahah...Thanks guys!

The only movers I'm gonna use going forward! I had a dream couch I was super nervous about not fitting in my apartment. They consulted with me, looked at the measurements of the doorway, and considered everything well beforehand. I went into the experience really confident they could do it and they did not disappoint. Super communicative, kind, and considerate of both the things being moved and my space in general. Thank you guys so much!!!

I hired Gaelic Moving & Storage to pack up my apartment last week and they were great! I called the listed number and Darragh got right back to me. On the initial call he was able to give me quote and set up a time to come pack my stuff. On moving day Darragh showed up with Malachi and Fabian and the three of them got right to work. They took time to wrap and protect my furniture then proceeded to load my "Pod." I really appreciated how well they handled the fact my apartment is hard to access and the Pod was not exactly close to the elevator. Overall it was a great experience and most important I got my stuff loaded in the Pod right on time (I only had a one day window to move). Highly recommend.

Called DJ the day before I needed to move, he was very nice and easy to schedule with. Kept me updated me on his eta as he was coming from another job. He and the other man who came were very polite, friendly and fast! The move in total took about 2 hrs and we were super grateful for their service. Thanks DJ!!

Ari and Sean were really nice movers, total Pros, on time and very efficient. Friendly and bright. I would definitely highly recommend this company for both short and long jobs.

Today is my second time using Darragh and his crew from Gaelic Moving & Storage. The first time was pleasant and seamless which is why I used them again. Today was no exception! Aside from being true professionals in the care they take with moving items, I appreciate the courtesy and enthusiasm in which they work. Darragh is always accessible from the point of scheduling the move and with frequent updates throughout. Knowing that he is accessible cuts down on anxiety. After completing the job today, we discussed clearing out my garage and taking items to the dump. I feel fortunate knowing that I have found an honest, friendly, and reliable company to manage all of my moving needs. I highly recommend Darragh and his crew for anyone wanting items moved with a peace of mind!

I am late to give this review but these are the third movers i have used in the last few years. They were clear in communication, did an amazing job moving my studio apartment from Oakland to the foothills, and were reasonably priced. I would highly recommend them to anyone in the Bay Area.

I worked with Darragh to move a bedroom to storage. He was great to work with and did exactly as promised. The fee was as agreed, which was competitive. I'm planning a larger move next year and Gaelic gets the first call. Pleased to recommend them without reservation.

Dara and crew helped us move our 3 bedroom home from the SF East Bay to Irvine. They were very friendly and easy to work with. Since this was considered a long distance move most moving companies quoted us over a week for stuff to reach destination while Dara promised us next day delivery which indeed worked out to be fantastic. I highly recommend Gaelic Moving. They are fast, efficient and friendly!

If I could give zero stars, I would. I decided to book Gaelic for a job because they were a few bucks less than other quotes, but the potential of $10 less definitely wasn't worth the headache and stress Gaelic put me through! They canceled on me, via email, only 5 minutes before they were supposed to arrive, and made up a story as an excuse. If you party too hard to work, don't book the gig! I would never recommend Gaelic to anyone. If you want a professional and efficient moving service, go to Claddagh Moving!!! They saved my day, my whole moving situation, and I already have Claddagh booked for a second move! Trust - do NOT trust Gaelic!

I booked Gaelic Moving and was impressed with how fast they replied on Yelp. I request a 3-person team because we have a lot of stuff and I know a 2-person team won't be very efficient. Then Darragh called me and said we were all confirmed for 9am on Saturday. He says it will be himself and two others. He gives me a quoted price for 3 people. I have a bad back and we have a toddler, so arranging for a baby-sitter etc costs us money and time bu it's worth it to save my back and that's what I'm hoping for. These were not professional movers and the owner was not professional at all. The only reason it's not 1 star is because yes, they did end up moving me from house to house. But I had to work alongside them as the third man. I don't understand business owners that behave like this - it's bad form at best, and dishonest at worst - just be straight and upfront. Why is that so hard? Saturday rolls around and no one is there at 9am. I try calling Darragh. No answer. I wait 15 mins. Call again. No answer. I try texting. No answer. At 930am I call and leave a voice I need at least a reply to know if they've cancelled, are running late, etc. I tell him that if I don't hear back soon I will assume they've canceled so I can book someone else. 936am I get a text (not a call) from Darragh which says "The guys are on the way, sorry for the delay" At 9:50am, the moving van shows up and two guys come out. Not three. They tell me the third is injured (they don't say if it's Darragh or not). They don't mention the price change at all for 2 people and just walk out to start the job. I text Darragh that I'm not super happy with this change in plans with no communication whatsoever - especially since it's just 2 people. This text is sent at 10am. 2 hours later he texts that they're short because of injuries including himself. That's reasonable but why are you telling me this 3 hours after the job is supposed to start? He says "Ok I get it. Sorry that it's taking longer than expected, of course 2 men over three. Balances out tho either way... 2 men is $100 an hour which includes truck and materials gas is $15 for local jobs, thank you." This is, of course, total BS. A three-person rate is $150 per hour. The two-man team is $100. The whole point of booking a three-person job is that you'll save money on the total hours. They movers themselves are very nice guys. But they do not work efficiently or like any movers I've ever seen. I won't go into detail, but needless to say, they are in no real rush here. Also, the lift gate on their truck is broken so the heavier items are real hard for them (again as two instead of three). The load up takes about 3 hours. We have about 2 bedrooms worth of stuff, but only 3 big pieces of furniture (no bed, no couch). I ride with them to our new house. I watch them slowly move things out of the truck with no real plan or organization. I realize that at their pace, it will take at least another 2.5 hours to unpack and move everything. I do not want to spend $550-$600 when it should have been about $450 with three people. So I become the third over and start moving at a pace that makes them work a little harder. I also tell them to just move the heavy furniture and leave all the boxes on the car port since god knows how long it would take them to move those. Watching them work was honestly painful. They would get into the truck, walk to the back of it, pick up one box and then exit the truck, walk to the carport, and do it all over again. I've never seen anyone unload a truck like this. I end up in the truck moving all the boxes to the edge so they can just walk it from truck to carport. In the end, it takes them 4 hours and 15 minutes with me working the last hour with them to unload the truck. My back is killing me. Darragh never really apologizes. I never even got a phone call the whole day of the move. But hey, we're moved in. Probably could have gotten the same quality of work done with a $50 uHaul, two friends and some bbq. Lesson learned - avoid these jokers.

Darragh and Sean helped me move about two bedrooms worth of things across Berkeley last week. These guys arrived on time, were super friendly, handled my things carefully and worked efficiently to finish the job in under 2 hours. I was pretty stressed out about hiring a moving company since I had never done so before, but these guys were excellent, their rates were reasonable and affordable and the whole process was smooth and painless. Would definitely recommend them and hire them again!
