I've been moving around for many years and other places charged me top dollars. To be honest with you guys, I've had a terrible experience with another company when I wanted to move to Jacksonville from New York City. That's why It was so difficult to trust moving companies which have just attractive advertisements. Hopefully this time I was so lucky to find Mr.Jay. I strongly recommend him. His teams did the great job. I'm so sensitive about my furnitures and they treated them like their own. The best company ever!

These were the hardest working and most professional guys I've ever hired. They confirmed the day before their 8 AM arrival. Showed up on time. They had the truck full in 2 hours. It took two trips because I have a large book collection. They wrapped furniture in moving blankets. They were very careful with everything. They put boxes in each room according to labels. Nothing was damaged. The price came in under my expectation. I will be recommending them to everyone I know.

They helped me.move twice in the last two years and they are really great. Reasonable pricing and very prompt . They came with a group of 3 guys and moved my stuff so fast They were very efficient and made sure ri wrap everything when needed and used their extra boxes also . They also put my bed together for me as well which was really helpful. I highly recommend them. They are great and extremely reliable .

They saved our move!!! We have a 28ft trailer that is being shipped from Jacksonville to Dallas today and luckily they were able to come out within an hour of us calling them this morning. After having two disastrous moving companies come out and fail at packing our moving truck in a 24hr period, these guys came out and totally redid the other companies' packing job. They were very efficient and were not sloppy like the other two (who couldn't even fit in half of our furniture because of so much wasted space). Here is the rat's nest they fixed in about two hours of unpacking and repacking, including the furniture the other companies couldn't fit:

I have worked with many moving companies over the years, mostly for long distance or cross country moves. Thankfully, my belongings have been relatively well taken care of and I have not had many disasters. For this move, I was looking for a company that would do a good job with a quick in-city move. I called multiple places and ended up settling on Gate Parkway Movers. Knowing that I had substantially less to move this time than on prior moves, I was looking for decent hourly rates. Many places had rates of $120-$125/hr for the first 1-2 hours and $75-$105 for each additional hour with two movers. This company has a two hour minimum of $350 with 3 movers. Jay, the owner of this company, was kind enough to stop by my place to provide an estimate. He advised that a flat rate would be better than an hourly rate. While I have certainly seen my share of movers taking their time to pack up, load, and unload the truck, I was still hesitant initially to agree to the flat rate as I'd heard that the fee with this company could change if more boxes were present on moving day than what was discussed at the time of the estimate. However, I went with it at his recommendation. On the day of the move, three movers arrived on time. They were very efficient with disassembling items, packing, and moving. Unlike other companies I'd had in the past, they did not wrap the furniture with shrink wrap or moving pads to protect it. I'm not sure why but perhaps it was due to the proximity of the move. Upon arrival at the new place, they did a very nice job getting the boxes out quickly. They did have some difficulty with larger items such as an oversized chair and couches and they forced them through the door creating minor damage to both the couches and the door frame. But in all fairness, Jay had expressed prior concern about the size of the couches. At the end of the day, there were minor issues with the furniture not being wrapped, left items that they returned to retrieve, and forgotten times to meet for estimates. But overall, this was a good move. Jay is a good guy, the movers were very pleasant on moving day, and they worked together to get the job done.

Gate Parkway Movers are stellar! I had a big move combining an apartment and a storage unit into one small house. We just bought the house and our closing ran a day late. I had scheduled the move for the original closing date. Jay went out of his way to make our move happen the day after we finally closed. He was patient with me as I had many phone calls to him about setting a new moving date. He really came through for me! His crew was friendly and professional. They worked nonstop and hard. There were no unexpected charges. I paid exactly what he quoted me. I highly recommend this company for your next move!

I hired Gate Parkway Movers to pack and move my family across town to a new home. I found them on yelp after reading many companies' reviews. From the start I preferred Jays professionalism and local business approach over the big companies with customer service centers and giant quotes. Jay and his team were extremely fast, kind and did a wonderful job with the move for a reasonable price, highly recommend!

Found this company on Yelp and so glad I did! Called and spoke with Jay, he asked for some details and general inventory then gave me a flat rate. Guys showed up promptly and were super nice. Milk was cool as hell, friendly and funny. I can't believe how fast they were. But at the same time, they took care and consideration. Didn't have any bumps or bruises on the wall or anything like that. CANNOT RECOMMEND ENOUGH! You'll be so happy you had them move you :)

Super quick and easy to schedule with them. I had to change my date and Jay was more than accommodating. The 4 person team moved me into my place so quick, it took no time at all. Would definitely recommend and use them again.

Thanks to Jay and his team of experienced professionals, we are happily in our new home with all our furniture BETTER than it was! How can that be? Jay saw that the stain on our dresser was chipped during an earlier move and he repaired it, on the spot for us! Also, we had purchased felt circles to put on the furniture legs later so we wouldn't scratch our new wood floors. He and his men took the time to put those in place for us so I could easily rearrange the furniture later or move it to clean without worry. And, they were fast, worked through lunch without stopping, and were polite and pleasant. They asked where items should be placed and put them exactly where I wanted them--even twice when I changed my mind on a couple of things. Lastly, Jay quoted us a fair price and stuck to it! I don't think we'll be moving again any time soon. But, if we were to move, Jay would be my first call. I have good friends who will be moving soon. I am going to highly recommend Jay to them too. This company was that good!

Great experience with this company, which came highly recommended by our real estate agent. Jay even came back to put on a mirror when the parts were finally located. His team was professional and hard-working.

While I hope that I won't be moving again any time soon, I will certainly be using this company again if I do. They helped me move from my one bedroom upstairs apartment into a house and it couldn't have gone more smooth! Scheduling was a breeze, their pricing was unbeatable compared to other quotes I got, and they were professional and prompt. Used Jay and team for our recent move...I had more boxes than were originally estimated but the guys helped me out. We had prepacked everything ship it was pretty quick... the team was respectful and nice...

Needed some help with the big stuff. Jay provided a fair estimate (about 200 less than most other movers). Provided delivery on a Sunday for a small bump in rate but very reasonable. On moving day, the movers were there 10 minutes early and very efficient. Extremely friendly. The entire move was about 1 1/2 hours. I definitely made the right choice hiring them and will do so again in the future!
