These folks are awesome movers. Our team of three arrived exactly on time and went to work immediately. They were pleasant as well as extremely careful with all of our expensive belongings. They shrink wrapped the sofa. They put blankets on everything that needed protection. They boxed up paintings. They did everything as quickly and professionally as anyone could possibly want or expect. They took no breaks and a quick lunch. They worked until 6:30 PM, made two trips, and dropped off and set up a bed and mattress set at another location. They also packed our belongings in our warehouse with great efficiency and speed. The front office staff handled everything by phone, she was cordial, extremely efficient and very friendly with personality and needed reassurance that all would be well. She gave practical advice about how to contain costs. She was as first rate as the movers. The cost was almost ridiculously inexpensive. If you use these guys, tip them handsomely because they deserve it! Helping Hands knew exactly what they were doing and I would recommend them to anyone. Hands down, Helping Hands is the best moving experience we've ever had by far.

these movers are fast and efficient. I have used them on two occasions. once was to unload a 25ft truck and the other was to move from one location to the next. both times the drivers communicated prior to them showing up. my move was delayed die to weather and tjem being backed up, but I did call them a few days before the move and they were able to squeeze me in. i would definetly use again if I had to. I also like the fact that they dis not charge my card before the move like some others wanted to do.

Jim and all his guys are superstars to me. Extremely punctual, Very fair pricing, Professional handing & packing all furniture, appliances, breakables into their truck. Very fast & efficient. They took 2 loads to the new house and 1 load to a storage room. Each one when perfectly. I would absolutely use them again and give them the highest recommendation. ~David

Although extremely nice, they seemed to have never moved anyone before. They showed up 30 minutes late, they did call at the time they were supposed to arrive to let me know. They damaged a wall bringing in my couch - which took almost 30 minutes. I had to tell them it would fit because I have moved this couch over 8 times since I've had it 15 years into smaller quarters and they quickly got it in then. They also broke a picture frame. If you're looking for nice and cheap, I think they are a good option.

I had Helping Hands load me on two difference occasions upon a recommendation. First to load up some plastic bins and mostly things out of the garage and Christmas items. That load went without any issues so I decided to use them again to load our last 2 pods with all of our remaining items. I was turned off that I need to pay cash, but still decided to use them. Upon arrival, many of our bins were cracked/broken and we unloaded a box marked glass/fragile that had been on the bottom with many other boxes stacked on top. The box was crunched up and clearly should have been placed toward the top. For professionals, these kinds of things seem obvious. I would not recommend them.

We had such a great experience with these movers. They were so nice and professional. They were very careful with our fragile items and didn't kill time to make more money. They were fast efficient and their prices were better than other companies we called. They even offered a 20$ coupon online or a senior discount. Highly recommend them!

I hired Helping Hands of Saint Augustine for a move. At first, the 3 men were nice, introduced themselves, and started to work upon arrival. The contract was signed and the owner, Israel, was also there. The rates were a bit confusing and Israel talked fast, but I wanted to make sure I understood what the total amount would be. He began to question me several times, "do you have enough money? Are you sure?" I assured him it would be no problem. The 2 other men kept moving boxes and furnitures, but it wasn't long before Israel made rude comments. He said, "did you know you were going to move today? Can you make the dogs be quiet? Why didn't you take down the beds?" My dogs were crated and out of the way. My daughter and I were not responsible for taking apart the beds.. the moving company was. I found these questions rude and unnecessary. I moved into my bedroom to take off a mattress pad to make sure I could find it at the new location. Israel moved by me quickly, hitting my arm with a lamp. He said I was getting in his way. I continued to pick up the mattress pad and he lifted the mattress, which slid and hit me against the wall. This hurt my back against the wall and my knee against the mattress. I was stunned. This made me very upset, so I said I would call the owner. Israel then said "to do what?" because he is the owner, which I didn't know. My daughter told him politely to be careful because I just had a knee replacement a couple months ago. At this point, we were both upset, but trying to remain calm. Israel then got very angry, shouting in our faces, and told the other 2 men to unload the truck. We asked him not to, to just complete the job as stated in the contract. Israel had his men leave ALL of our belongings.. furniture, clothes, boxes of priceless pictures, fragile items, everything.. on the sidewalk in front of our apartment building. There was no way my daughter or myself could bring everything back in and it was getting cloudy, looking like rain. Within minutes, the truck was gone. They didn't say another word. Israel said that we were "tripping," though we had said or done nothing wrong. We simply wanted the job finished without any more issues. I called Helping Hands' office and the receptionist was shocked. She said they never get complaints, but there was nothing she could do. Israel was out of control. We felt scared and defenseless because he was acting so angry and irrational to unload everything off the truck and leave. This all happened so fast after I was hit by the mattress. The owner of Helping Hands Jacksonville was kind enough to come a few hours later to bring our items inside. He apologized for his nephew, Israel. I learned the next day Israel has also been violent with an ex girlfriend within the last week and many times before. This should make anyone considering this company (Saint Augustine location) be extremely weary of hiring a man who has been physically hurting a woman, then made an awful scene in a customer's home. I would AVOID at all costs. DO NOT hire this company. Unreliable, did not get the job done, hurt me without an apology, criminal, and unstable. This man should not be responsible for entering people's homes or running a business. In response to office manager's comment: The facts of the mover's unprofessionalism and hurting a customer during a move are accurate and it's a shame you would encourage someone to remove a review. We've moved 10 times in 10 years and these guys were by far the best we've ever had, even better than any corporate movers we've had.

Seriously the best around Jacksonville. The movers were EARLY even after I canceled once and re-scheduled twice (Military Life)! I was scheduled for a Saturday and was done in about two hours. Three movers ALL three super sweet, polite, and most importantly were super careful with my property!!! I paid $295 (no weekend up charge), you can't beat that! I have a two bedroom apartment and was previously quoted at $900+ dollars with a different moving company. Do yourself a favor and book with this family-owned, local company!!

Just want to thank the guys with Helping Hands for another great move! Unfortunately this is like my 7th move I think with this company, I wouldn't use anyone else! I have had several people ask me over the years who to use I highly recommend Helping Hand Movers!

EXTREMELY POOR SERVICE AVOID!!!! My friend called for a quote and was given several different and misleading prices. When speaking to the Owner. He was rude and abrasive and more defensive than helpful do yourself a favor avoid the headache and take you money somewhere it can be appreciated. Every business should give good customer service big or small we the people have to keep them honest

Helping Hands recently moved my family of six into our new home in Jacksonville. I have moved many times in my lifetime, and this was by far the best moving experience I have ever had! The owner was right there with his crew for the entire move and his crew was top notch. They worked hard the entire time, and completed the job just as they said they would. Not only did they handle our furniture and personal items with utmost care, but they were very helpful in getting things placed in our new home for us so as to make our settling in easier. In addition, these guys were so polite and respectful to all of us, including our two small children. Oh yes, and their price was very competitive and came in just as they said it would. I would highly recommend them!! Thanks you, Helping Hands, for a great moving experience!

Several friends highly recommended them to us. They moved us from a home we sold in Jacksonville to a storage unit that was close to the home we were buying in Fernandina Beach. Everything from the initial phone call to the actual move was as professional and friendly as anyone could ever hope for. The crew of 3 guys immediately made us feel comfortable that our possessions were not only in helping hands but in caring hands as well. We did attempt to use them again for our move from the storage unit into our new home but unfortunately they were not able to accommodate our move in the time frame we needed. So my first recommendation is use this company but remember they are not only good but popular so my second recommendation is to make sure you give them plenty of notice so they can accommodate you on their schedule!

Wonderful crew of family! Everyone from the ladies on the phone to the owner (JIM)who walked threw my house to give an estimate to pack me up were all wonderful. The five gentleman that packed all my fine delicates to my kids rooms did an amazing job as well. They were all very sweet, courteous , respectful and genuinely hard workers. I had many extremely delicate figurines from all over the world and they packed them with the utmost care. I only wished they moved across state line so I could have used them for my entire move. They showed up promptly at 9am and left at 7pm. They hardly stopped for a second but to grab a quick eat. My son who has cerebral palsy felt he made new friends with each of the gentleman. They were all very happy to entertain my son is conversation as they worked. I truly appreciated that. It made him feel good and kept saying how much he liked them and was sad to see them leave. I have had an issue with another moving company and Jim was so sweet to call me the day of my supposed move up to Georgia to make sure all worked out for me and I thought that was real nice of him. When my mover didn't work out he went above and beyond to try and help me find someone I can trust that moves out of state. Thank you so much Jim! Your entire staff are A++++++ in our books! My husband really was Impressed by ll they got done in one day and my final price came in way under the estimated quote. That was also a nice surprise! I would not hesitate to call them for any packing or in state moving needs. You just don't find genuine people like these guys around much anymore and they wouldn't leave until they were certain I was 100% satisfied. Thanks all of you for shaving off some of my stress on a huge move of a fairly big house.

Just moved with them today. They quoted me $295 a special $20.00 off their regular rate of 105 an hour. Let me tell you this, they were efficient, fast and courteous. I will hire them again and I highly recommend them. They are family owned and operated.

These guys were extremely courteous, fast and efficient! Not only would I highly recommend, but I 100% plan to use them for my next move! Within about 15 seconds of these guys pulling up, they had jumped out of the truck, assembled the ramp, padded the doors of my house, and placed a little runway barrier for the floors--I'm not kidding, these guys are FAST!! They were also extremely friendly and helpful. They helped me move some odds and ends (ex: TV without a box, so we didn't want to put it in the truck) into and out of my car. Plus, the price was extremely reasonable, especially considering how fast they work. I'm pretty sure this is the least expensive, best moving service you can get in Jacksonville. Don't hesitate, you will not regret using these guys!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND, 5 STARS!
