This was my first time using a moving company to move. Was somewhat weary due to horror stories (of other companies/locals) from friends and acquaintances... Was recommended to them from a Business partner and I couldn't be happier with the service I received! Ryan & Tony arrived on time, ready to work and were professional, courteous and careful. They picked up some stuff from one location for storage, then packed up an 1100sq/ft apartment and delivered it all to the new location and got everything into storage all in a solid days work. The entire process from the initial interview until signing the final invoice was almost too easy! I've moved many times, all on my own in the past, and after such a pleasant experience and lack of back pain I can definitely say this won't be my last time using J.J.Metro, and I will definitely request Ryan & Tony if available. I don't know if it could have been done any quicker, but if anything I slowed them down simply by being there... I will certainly recommend them to you, as well as my family and friends, SAVE YOUR BACK, hire professionals that know how to be On Time, Professional, Courteous and Careful with your possessions!

My husband and I were disappointed overall. Our quote was nowhere near what we paid, so there was a lack of skill on estimating costs. We paid over $400 more than the estimate. We've used movers before and they were able to do the same job with 3 men in less than 6 hours including unpacking our wardrobe boxes and other ones as well. In addition, I believe someone should have visited our 1 bedroom apartment and gave us a true estimate of boxes needed. I thought 15 boxes was enough plus 4 for dishes and 4 for wardrobe. They only used one of the wardrobe ones because they didn't have enough of the other types of boxes. Also, they didn't label the boxes so when we had to unpack, it was frustrating not knowing what box had what and they mixed clothes with other items, so it was very unorganized. The 3 men were very nice and professional, but did not move nearly as fast as our previous movers. Overall, our move did not go as smooth as we expected and are still paying for it, literally. I don't believe the price we paid was worth the services provided at all!

Moving is stressful but J&J really helps to make it easier. From scheduling the actual move to the concierge service helping to get utilities started. Makes for a very smooth transition. Demetrius and his crew arrived early, were professional while friendly & engaging. These 3 men worked very well together as a team, were extremely fast & thorough. I highly recommend J&J.

I'm in the customer service industry and I must say that the experience with Roger @ J&J has been awesome so far. They've stayed in touch via text (which I love). Made sure I've had everything I needed and fit me in with just a few days notice even moving me on a Friday morning. They have moving supplies as well! I will update my review after Friday! Hoping the experience continues to be So I'm updating my review from a 5 star to a three star. The gentleman that moved me were incredibly nice but it took them a REALLY long time. They were $202 over the estimate. We had everything boxed up and 2 of the 3 beds broke down. We moved a half mile down the road. There were 3 men, but it seemed one maybe was in training. We have used 2 Men and a Truck 3 times in the last 5 years for relocation for my career and will continue to do so.

So here goes my situation..Everything from the office manager who goes by the name of "Roger" calling me a jerk, to the moving crew grabbing random stuff and throwing into a truck including a bin which clearly said "do not touch", which had my special need's daughter's medication. Everything else in between includes my walls and doors getting banged up by the movers, one of the crew members who goes by "Donny" talking to the neighbors and playing sword battles with my stepson instead of working efficiently I'm paying $130 an hour. Finally, when I was given an estimate, I clearly articulated that I had a 4/3 2700 sq ft house and tried to list everything possible thing I had in the house. I was given an estimate of 5800 pounds which I assumed was correct and assumed the customer service rep knew what they were saying as I clearly did not know the weight . Long story short, not all my stuff fit into the truck. Roger tells me Friday that the next truck could possibly come out Tuesday after I clearly told him I had renters moving in today. He then was snarky and told me it's not my fault I did not give the estimator all the details of my house and accused me of liking. On top of all this I need to access the vault "yesterday", and he told me no customers are allowed to access the vault on weekends. He said I would have to figure out the problem on my own and I was out of luck. So, I needed to rent an environmentally controlled storage unit for $200 a month on top of paying you $300 a month for what I already have in storage. I had to rush and find a truck, load the truck (a 16 footer which cost me $160) by myself, load into storage in the middle of the night last night and be ready to accept renters into my house today.

BEWARE.....DO NOT USE JJ METRO MOVERS!!!! I am a corporate executive and used this company to move my personal items into storage before moving out of state to NYC. This company broke several items due to improper storage, they stored heavy wall mounts on top of glass items, breaking them, I personally witnessed in their storage facility broken items not only in my crates but in several others, and have pictures to show as well. They are not professional, the general manager of the place will not respond back to you once they have your money, absolutely terrible...believe the reviews here, BUYER BEWARE.....I have moved 17 times in 27 years of being an executive, I have never seen such horrible service and terrible unsympathetic follow up, or lack of, from their management. Hopefully these guys will go out of business and stop ripping the good people of Orlando FL off. AND JUST TO PROVE HOW UNPROFESSIONAL THEY ARE, HERE IS A NOTE JUST SENT TO ME FROM THEIR VP...The check was sent out over a week ago. "When are you trying to move?" "I would like to move somewhere between Monday and Thursday, but definitely must be out by Friday." This is how my J&J Metro experience started--by speaking with someone who understands the process of moving. Moving is indeed a process, and it was definitely made easier with J&J Metro. I received friendly assistance by phone prior to the move, and all charges were clearly explained to me. On moving day, the truck and the men arrived on time, worked until the job was done, and then I received an invoice. I purchased a Yelp deal which made this move even better. This company is licensed and insured, and all my items were handled with care. Well done!

So happy to have J&J to move my Dad from his apt in assisted living at Oakmonte in Lake Mary next door to memory care. It was a very difficult and emotional day for me and my dad. The move was the best part of the day - I had them do the packing (I did not want my dad worrying in advance of the move day). Everything was carefully packed and well labeled. The process was quick and efficient. The movers were professional, respectful, and really nice. Booking was also easy and professionally handled (I spoke to Kayla) - estimate was honest. I ended up buying some of my own packing materials (from usedcardboardboxes.com) so my actual cost was lower than the estimate. This mover knows what they are doing and they are honest to boot!

I will definitely use J & J in the future if I ever have to move again. Everyone knows moving is a horrible process but the two men who assisted in my move were wonderful. They were polite, kind and careful with my things. I have used other companies in the past and there is no comparison.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. This will sound exaggerated but I assure you it is not. I called in today when I realized the quote and the final price was off by $500. The answer I was provided by the customer service rep was not satisfactory and I elected to discontinue my conversation. He tried to engage me but I've rarely found service reps are at fault for the situation and it's best not to take it out on them. I hung up. I was then called back immediately by that rep. I made it clear that he is NOT to call me back on my personal phone, he persisted and attempted to talk over me. I asked if he understood me, do not call me back. To which he replied, "GO FU*K YOURSELF MOTHERF*CKER!"... When I called back to try to speak with a supervisor I was transferred back to that employee who told me I would not be allowed to speak with anyone and he hung up on me. Awful experience, awful company. Too many alternates to select from to put you... (update from 5/21/17) just realized some shill from this company submitted a retort. Not on yelp too often but let me assure you, the incident on the phone DID HAPPEN exactly as I explain. What's more - I reached out on FB to their "executive team" of which I still have screenshots of the communications. They all acted like it was a big deal, but did nothing. As for his claim that their people are all highly trained and would have been fired if they did what I claim... easy remedy, most major companies serious about quality service record calls. If you did you'd know what I'm saying is true... but only a moron would have said what your rep said to me if he knew he was being recorded. So it's clear you don't record rep interactions. Instead you get on Yelp and try to deflect and defend your failed service by blaming the customer. What you don't realize is that lying in a reply doesn't help your cause, it hurts it. All you had to say was "sorry for our moronic employee, we'll do better next time..." but no... the corporate environment that fosters a call center rep telling a customer to fu(4off is the same one where the Yelp review manger gets on and makes excuses for the behavior - good job

Used J&J to move from our condo to our house that was 10 miles apart. When the movers found out that we had a bit more stuff to move than maybe I told them for my phone quote, one of the movers SPRINTED up and down my 3 flights of stairs to try and keep the hourly rate down as much as possible to save me $. Extremely respectable people who were honest and helpful.

I used J&J to move my office across town and then used them again to move some used furniture I bought off of Craigslist. Our office is a 2nd floor office with no elevator and they got the job done; tough job too, they definitely earned their pay that day. Whenever we have to move again we will definitely be calling J&J. No complaints!

The office staff was super friendly, helpful and they were always on top of things from the scheduling, working around my schedule to the actual move. Where do I start with these unethical and crooked movers. BEWARE! I contracted them for a simple move only 3 miles away. They damaged my furniture, lost things and refused to carry my things inside. When I reported the damage they claimed that there insurance wouldn't cover it. Neil and Gary are the managers and they didn't do anything to help either. Instead of doing the right thing they tried to get out of repairing the damage they had done. What a horrible experience. If you are looking for a quality company that cares and will take care of your stuff, then DON'T CALL THESE JOKERS!!! My first post on Yelp. I don't want anyone to go through what I did.

Wow! I just had the strangest experience ever! What makes it even stranger, is that I just read a review where the reviewer said they said the same thing to her as they just did to me - "the guy who came by to put together my quote, no longer works for them!". Let me start at the beginning. I had them come by to quote my job. Some things are going into storage (as they are my ex's things), and the other things are coming with me. AND I needed them to do the actually packing for me. Well, I got the quote and it was the cheapest of all the movers I had spoken with. So I called back to confirm that everything I had discussed with their employee was reflected in my quote. As it turned out - numerous things weren't included. Basically the quote was useless. They were going to check to make sure that they understood what was involved in my move. Well they called back today. The girl who called had a very dismissive attitude .... talking over me ..... sighing with impatience. She simply wouldn't listen to what exactly the job entailed. She said things like "well it says here some things might have to go to storage". ..... Well no - all of my ex's things will DEFINITELY have to go into storage (as I told your now ex-employee) ....."it says here you might want to have help packing, since he included some boxes in the quote" ...... some boxes? No - actually the job was to have the movers actually pack up the house! Not just "some boxes".... Just as I was getting ready to suggest to her that they send someone else out to my home to give a more accurate quote, she continued talking over me and then said (with attitude), "I'm NOT trying to talk you into using us!". I just laughed. Said that was the ONE thing we apparently agreed upon - that she in fact, wasn't trying at all to "talk me into using them", so I informed her that actually she talked me into NOT using them. So on to another mover that will stand behind their quote and be much more professional when dealing with customers. Moving can be stressful enough - I certainly don't need to get stressed out by the moving company I hire! Good luck out there!

We had J&J Metro move our 3 bedroom house about 2 months ago and I was very pleased with their service. They were professional and expedient from scheduling to the actual moving day. Additionally, they were very conscientious with my belongings - all of my fragile items and my piano made it to the new location without a scratch. I'd highly recommend them to anyone! :)

Chose the company for our move within Orlando based on overwhelmingly positive Yelp reviews in June 2015, so was a little surprised when they turned out to be less than fabulous. We moved from a 4 bedroom home....so, a somewhat bigger job. The office service was fine...the quote/time was accurate. Team of 4 came. Not all 4 are moving the entire time. The guy who seemed to be in charge, I only saw periodically. The problems came to light near the end of the move. An office desk, a drawer set and a shelf had critical screws missing so they could not be fully reassembled (when it's just one piece, you can call it an accident). After they left, I saw that a piece had come off of some exercise equipment and it was just laid on top of it (not mentioned to me that it had come off during the move) and this seemed dishonest (I was able to fix it).

BUYER BEWARE!!! This company has screwed me over twice in less than a year. Last September we booked them for a move on Sept 1st using barter and three days before they told us they double booked and couldn't help us. Today I called at 8 am and spoke to a man who said they cannot take barter customers three days in beginning of month or end of month, but could do it on July 5th, a Saturday. I said I would call him back. When I called back, I talked to a woman who said they no longer do barter in summer because they need to give priority to cash customers. We explained the current and previous history and they COULD NOT HAVE CARED LESS.

We moved my parents to assisted living. They were on time, quick, helpful and, respectful and mindful of the situation of the move. All of the staff, from booking moving appointment to the last box, were supportive, honest, hardworking and reliable. Was a little more pricey than other moving companies, but the care, understanding and helpfulness was more than worth it. Thank you for making this transition as stress free as possible!!!
