This is my second move with J&R... they once again were great! They are fast and efficient and got the job done in a timely manner. I had a little issue but I contacted Vivian and they resolved it for me immediately. I said in my last review that I would use them again if I had a local move... I feel this way 100% still.

So it was "That time again" and we were moving. I had a short turn around time (days not weeks) to find a company that would come out and help, be reliable, and hard working. I contacted 8 different companies to get quotes, but from the start this company stood out. In the end, we hired them. They came in at the right price, the reviews were very good, and I felt these guys could get the job done in a timely fashion. And BOY DID THEY DELIVER! The crew called me to let me know they were running behind because of traffic. Although this might have been a bad mark for some customers, it showed me from the start something important. THEY WERE HONEST! Trust is huge when you are having complete strangers come into your house, moving your stuff, and you have to trust they will get things from point A to point B in one piece. From the second they pulled out, they hustled and beat 3 flights of stairs over and over again. I swear I didn't see them slow down for the entire 3 hours it took to pack. They were methodical, they were quick, but most importantly they were careful. They wrapped all my items in furniture blankets, they padded my TV, and they worked hard. After lunch (which they took off that time at the end, in writing, so it was not on the clock), they got right back to it. They delivered what was promised, right down to the minute. Start to finish was 5 hours. When one small problem was discovered, I was immediately brought into the truck. We had the base from our table come unglued (literally at the seams, almost as if it should have to be honest). After they were done with the move, they took the base of my table to the hardware store, and get this...FIXED IT FOR ME! Seriously, this thing is rock solid right now! Once again, this could be a negative for some, but they were honest, and FIXED THE PROBLEM! That means more in my book than anything else. Would I use this company again? Absolutely! Will I recommend them to others? I already have! There is nothing better than having hardworking, honest, and all around good people working for a company like this. Thank you for everything! You made this move so much better with your help. We appreciate it more than you know.

These movers ripped me off by sitting on their rear ends and running the bill up when moving a small storage unit that took me 30 mins to unload. Took them 3.5 hours and of course after 3 hours the price goes up. Do not use this company!

These guys are amazing! They're professional, knowledgeable, and cost effective! Professional I booked everything online (which is great when you have a billion things to do during a move). The day before the move, I got a friendly reminder that the next day they'd be there. Thirty minutes before showing up, I received another friendly call to let me know they were on their way (well within their slotted 8-9am window). Upon arrival, the owner introduced himself and his teammates then did a walk through to see what they were working with. Knowledgeable Each piece of furniture was safely covered with moving blankets and tape to keep everything in perfect order. And that's when the real life Tetris kicked in. I've never seen a truck packed so perfectly!! On top of that, they put everything in logically to make everything extra safe. At the destination, they were extremely cognizant of not scratching the wood floors and what the best way to prevent any damages. Cost Efficient These men worked their butts off! They were nonstop moving getting everything on and off the truck. Now I'm sure you're sitting there thinking, these guys must be super expensive if they're this awesome! Wrong! I contacted around 20 companies before picking them and they were by far the cheapest! I'll be using them for all future moves and recommend you do the same!

Not really happy with the job. They were late, but added an extra worker for free, so I was happy at the beginning, but it turned out that the 4th mover was totally inexperience, unmotivated and unfriendly. When your movers arrive and you smell smoke out of the truck and not cigarette smoke then you know it won't be a good day. Guy no 4 really hit every wall with everything ... nothing left out. I've never had so much damage with any relocation by far and I've done it already about 10 times. The good thing: the crew chief was friendly, motivated and somehow experienced. Also another 2 guys friendly and motivated. They wrapped sensitive parts with blankets. The bad: 1, they stacked anything on top of anything: e.g. first small boxes, then large boxes, then small again (one of the worst mistakes a mover can make). So they did not only damage goods, but also about 50% of our boxes wich had survived many relocations, but not this one. 2. They turned the boxes upside-down or 90 degrees and did not car about written notices on the boxes wich made it clear which part was the top. Hence additional damage. 3. I told the guys rather have one more ride instead of stacking to the top of the truck and damage everything - they did not listen. 4. Found their garbage everywhere: the threw pieces of their pizzas on our lawn, also chewing gum and at the end the threw all the rubbish into a trash can which was already emptied and ready for return (so I had to remove it from there). Bottom line: never again with these guys. Management from office was nice, but the rest a pain.

To say these guys are good would be an understatement. My entire apartment was packed and loaded in record time despite it being one of the muggiest days of the year. I recommend paying the little extra for three movers because it saves time (two pack up while the third organizes/straps in the truck). Very fairly priced and they had great personalities.

I have moved many times and used many different moving companies. I can't say that I have ever had such a disastrous experience as I did with them. I've attached all the text messages which started with them showing up late because they had a flat tire the day before. Even though I was very thorough in my information regarding the number of rooms I had they ended up going to rent a pull behind. It took them almost 10 hours to load 3 bedrooms. Of course somehow they had plenty of rooms for the items I gave away. They said they were skilled in mounting TV's so I trusted they knew what they were doing but instead because they didn't know what they were doing they ripped the mounts off the wall and I actually had to bring a company in to replace the drywall after their destruction. They finally showed up at my new house and it took them 3 hours to drive what should have been 1 1/2 hrs because guess what, ANOTHER FLAT TIRE ON THEIR OLD BEATUP TRUCK. John was screaming at his helpers, throwing my items out of the truck and cussing so bad I had to have my son go out back to the patio. They beat up my walls, broke my TV, lost shelves, broke the stone off of my entertainment center and cracked the glass on my washer. When I asked multiple times for the name of the company that holds their bond they ignored me. Always ask for that up front. The next day when they contacted me about replacing the TV john got irate with me and I have a recording of him stating "I'm just complaining because I didn't want a black man in my house". He's dangerous and has a very short fuse. Also, his wife showed up with them with her daughter in tow and "hung out" at my house. When the other reviewer stated there was a smoke odor coming from the truck that resembled something other than cigarettes I don't doubt it. Unfortunately they didn't smoke enough to keep John from having a temper tantrum in front of my house. I'm still working on getting my pound of flesh from them. They refused to accept responsibility for anything. The only resolve they offered was to replace my TV for a different model and then tell me mine was probably already broken. I have 4 TV's I have no need to lie to get another one. These people should NOT be running a business. STAY AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE. ALSO, all the good reviews were from companies that pay to provide fake reviews.

Very professional! This crew provided excellent service. Every piece of furniture was wrapped in a moving blanket, taped and plastic Wrapped. The truck was the best loading job I've ever see since the service. In fact the basic team are ex army movers that started this business. They all preformed well in this hot Florida heat. I highly recommend this company. Thanks guys! Ya did good

These guys were awesome!!! My boyfriend and I were nervous about our move from our smaller two story town house in South Tampa to a single family home in Ruskin, but Viviane really put our minds at ease. The quote she gave me was spot on. The two guys arrived on time and gave me a 15 minute heads up that they were on their way, and even though they were young they were professional and worked quickly! They took apart furniture, wrapped everything, and got everything safely to the new house. Definitely would recommend to any of my friends who are moving!

I've never had to ever write a bad review on any company, but I do not want anyone else to go through this experience (bad customer service as well as personal attacks). We have absolutely no reason to lie on anyone. The TV was purchased for Christmas, it came over on the truck. Viviane, you were not there either. I know you don't have a conscience or you wouldn't blatantly lie like this. At this point, it is not even about the money, it's the principle and attack on our character. We have been attacked by phone and text messages, and we have been lied on. I know what was paid out, $75 up front and 770 the night of the move (total $845) credit card and bank statements to prove it. Look at some of the other reviews. I still haven't received my personal tool box that was taken. If this is what you call quality customer service, then you're in the wrong business.

J&R moving was a life saver!! Anthony and his men were professional, efficient, and hard working. I would recommend them to anyone moving no matter how small or large your move is; they made our move painless. Super nice and friendly people with awesome attitudes and work ethics!! Most definitely will be using these guys again for all my moves and recommending them to everyone!!

These guys are great! I completely agree with all the previous reviews. I asked for a moving quote on a Monday morning, and was able to set up an appointment for that Wednesday. I had boxes and furniture from 2 different apartments that needed to be moved into a new apartment. The crew was friendly, professional, and efficient, working tirelessly (up and down stairs) for 4 hours to get everything done. They were also extremely careful, and made sure everything was taped up and wrapped properly. All my belongings (including those plastic storage bins that tend to crack) arrived clean and without a scratch. The pricing is very fair, and there were no hidden fees.

I paid for a 3 hour minimum but they still rushed through the job and finished in less than 2 hours yet they had no problem waiting for me to go to the ATM so I could pay for the job in cash and save them credit card transaction fees. They wound up breaking a lamp and didn't bother to tell me about it at all. I found out about it after they left. The owner seemed upset that I didn't have more stuff to move but I told them in advance everything that needed to be moved.
