Amazing! I called Friday for a Sunday move (the very last weekend of month) and Jon - customer happiness point of contact - was professional, friendly and really helpful. He booked my move for Sunday and followed up with a very thorough email to recap all logistics + share some packing/moving tips. Tom and Tim (my two movers) texted me their ETA as they were driving to my place. They were also really professional and friendly. They packed my studio quickly, not loosing any time. I got a ride in their truck and we got to my new place. With the same quick efficiency, they unloaded the truck and moved my boxes in all the right rooms. The entire move lasted less than two hours. I will never ever try to book a uhaul like I did before and move my things myself. They saved me easily 5-6 hours of my day. Highly recommend!

Maksim and Sam were awesome! This company is great! I feel lucky to have found them! They were careful with my belongings, worked hard and non stop, and even drove the huge truck up a windy and steep hill and driveway -- they have skills! Always smiling and so polite. I just wanted to start of by stating that I don't feel as though some of these low reviews do this company any justice. I had a really good experience using their service and so did other people that I am aware of. My sister referred Local N Long Distance Movers for my recent move and I was not disappointed. I reached out to Local N Long Distance through yelp request and they replied very promptly, within the next day. After inquiring for a feel, I decided to use this company for my move. At the beginning, the movers came early. I have emphasized and requested for the movers to come at a very specific time but they came early and threw off the plan. I called the company to see if we could work this out and they happily assisted me. The move itself was fast and efficient. I was happy with the customer and move service. I highly recommend their moving service.

I used Local N Long Distance Movers for a move within San Francisco after hearing about them from a friend who used their services a couple of times. I reached out for a quote on Yelp and they were quick to respond with clear info on rates and the process. The movers were on time, professional and did a great job while ensuring the move didn't damage anything in the old or the new place. Highly recommend them!

Great customer service and experienced movers! I am very pleased with my entire experience with these guys! The initial quote was easy and straightforward and they didn't have any hidden fees. I asked a lot of questions and they answered them quickly. I quickly booked with them after getting 5 other quotes for two to three times the price. Gela and Alex were the movers and they really impressed me. They called beforehand to give me their ETA and then showed up right on time. They were able to move everything very quickly. They even asked about items I forgot I wanted moved, like pictures and they moved them. They had me double check everything to make sure I didn't forget anything. Then, when we got to the new place, they were able to unload everything in about half an hour and even put the boxes in the correct rooms! When they were done, they had me check the truck to verify that it was empty and then they went through the time frame and made sure I agreed with the number of hours. They also reminded me that the deposit I paid to book them was subtracted from the final payment, which I also forgot. I will definitely hire them again, if I move again. And I definitely would recommend them to anyone who needs trustworthy and fast movers.

This business would not provide me with even a ballpark quote for a move from the Bay area to Reno. They literally required me to give them my actual email address, rather than using yelp messaging. My most recent reply was to advise them that, if they want my business, they'll contact me via Yelp.

Meant to write this review yesterday but you know how it is with a move...a millions things on your mind with even more things to actually do. One thing that I did not have to worry about was moving my big heavy furniture, thanks to these guys! They took a huge stress off my mind. Requested a quote and scheduled a move with Jon, who was very cool, responded to his emails promptly and answered all my questions. On the day of the move, Aleksey, Valerij and Vjacheslar were lifesavers. I have 2 old school upright arcade consoles (weighing about 200-300 lbs each) and they were able to take it up, not 3 flights of stairs (as I had originally thought) BUT 4 FLIGHTS OF STAIRS (I had neglected to count the stairs from lobby to first floor...my bad). They were patience, easy going and VERY hard working. I can't imagine what I would have done with out these guys. I would have fallen down a flight of stairs if I had tried this myself. Thanks guys, I know the consoles were a pain but you made a nerdy girl very happy!

Great job! Courteous, careful, and quick. Very pleased with the move. Would recommend the guys. The scheduling was quick. Got an email confirmation and several reminder calls ahead of the move. They showed up on time. Packed and wrapped everything. And even made an extra stop to pick up my belongings from my storage. And everything was included in the price. Would hire them again for sure.

Ron and Alex did an amazing job - they were thoughtful, methodical, efficient and careful with all of our stuff. Great attitude, very friendly. We were very nervous about hiring movers and these guys did a truly wonderful job. Cannot recommend enough!

George & his team made moving a breeze. They were quick, efficient & cautious when lugging all of our stuff! It's no easy feat to carry a king sized bed or large sofa up & down 4 flights of stairs - 2 of them being narrow spiral staircases!!! There is never a convenient time to move - no matter how much you plan or how short the distance. Since moving is such a pain in the ass, do yourself a favor & call these guys to lessen your stress & worries. Take it from a person who barely writes Yelp reviews but felt compelled to do this minutes after they finished :) (and use this many exclamation points) GREAT JOB GUYS!!

We recently relocated from the Bay Area to the Mendocino Coast. We knew it would be challenging to find a decent intra-state moving company that would be willing to go all the way out to a somewhat remote area, and were thrilled when Local N Long Distance Movers agreed to work with us. The pre-move customer service experience was very smooth, though the one piece of feedback I would have is that the person doing the move scheduling and taking down all my info should have communicated all of the information I gave more clearly to the movers in advance of moving day--I was really up front about the fact that they would be driving to a fairly remote area, there were lots of tight turns and there weren't many services for certain stretches of time, and that an early arrival would ensure that they got home at a decent hour. The team (Alex, Paul and Igor) arrived at our home in Oakland at about 10am, which was within the window they stated, but later than what I would have suggested if they were to get home at a reasonable time. They were super efficient with packing up everything, and did so carefully. None of our items were damaged, and everything arrived at the other end in perfect shape. We instructed them to drive a certain way because our realtor had told us tales about moving trucks getting stuck on tight turns on Highway 1 at Jenner, and we didn't want to put our movers through that! They took a dinner break along the way and arrived about two hours after we did. They unloaded in a decent amount of time, and I was really sad to hear from one of the movers that they had a job early the next day and wouldn't get home from our place until 2am. I felt for them, but I was also super clear with the person booking the job about the preferred route for moving trucks, and the fact that windy country roads take a very long time, and asked them to warn the team of movers in advance several times. By the end I wish we could've given the team a bigger tip, and overall were really happy with their service. They were genuinely sweet and friendly guys, and did a really good job keeping our stuff safe and getting it from point A to point B.

Response time was great through my Yelp request. I took it upon myself to call and spoke with Simon who was extremely friendly and professional. I was very pleased how he had me, the customer's, best interest in mind!

I used these movers and am truly disappointed as to how much they take advantage of their customers. The driving time between destinations should only have been 3 hours total, they charged me for 4. Their ending statement charged me for an additional 5.5 hours when I meticulously counted only 5.25. I know this may sound trivial but at $230/hr that is an extra cost of roughly $280+ dollars. It already pained me to have to pay almost $1000 to just have them DRIVE roundtrip so it didn't help when they would take smoking breaks every hour. To make matters worse, when we settled the bill, he pressured us that tip should be 15-20% of the total. Save yourself the time and stress, do not use this company! In all fairness, overall they did a good job moving everything, but just assume that they will pad the time. If you use this company and you are moving a far distance, do yourself a favor and use a different company that has some integrity. The 3 stars are for the fact that you have to respect how hard these guys work, but that doesn't give them the right to take advantage of their customers. Moving is already expensive, you shouldn't have to pay extra for nothing. I removed another star because they left all the furniture packaging all over my driveway. Unbelievable! The manager reached out to me and after explaining certain company policies, I feel as if I should change my rating to 4 stars. When they were actually moving, they were quick, efficient and overall professional. If you plan on using this moving company, just make sure to count the time used to move, because if you don't, you might see extra time tacked on at the end.

They were fast, came when they said they would, and got everything here in one piece. I would totally recommend them. Good crew.

These guys work super hard and do a great job not damaging things. My issue was the lack of following directions. I would consider them again, but only if i could be present during both the load and unload the entire time.

I used LNL for a move from SF to Palo Alto. Given the low rate and general moving horror stories was expecting late, careless, and slow movers. Was pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. They came on time (within the 1 hour arrival window) and actually called beforehand with a heads up. They worked quickly and efficiently and the whole load took less than 1 hour (I was moving just a bedroom, and no furniture). Since they charge double-time for driving, was also concerned about the drive time "magically" taking extremely long, but they took only as long as Google Maps put it as, which is good considering its a truck. Unloading went quick and efficient as well. They forgot 1 item (which I don't blame them for, since it was a small thing they put in the front of the truck since it was a last second load), but came back later in the day to drop it off without complaint. The one "complaint" I have is they asked me to write a review on Yelp, which I happily said I would, but then asked if I could do it right there on the spot. I thought that was slightly too pushy so I said I'd do it later. I get it though, since a lot of people will probably forget and never get around to it. Cost: I paid in cash at $95 an hour, and used the yelp deal for $20 for $50 off ($30 savings). I highly recommend these guys!

This was the first time I hired movers, and it was the best decision I've ever made. We moved from a two bedroom apartment on the third floor with a moderate amount of stuff. 3 movers came and everything was in the truck in less than two hours. We packed up all the boxes, but they wrapped our furniture beautifully. They did an amazing job.. would highly recommend!
