I used Mike's Moving twice in the last month: once to move items from my old apartment to a storage unit and then a second time from the storage unit to my new apartment. I found the company on craigslist but I also believe that they have an active groupon going on right now. Both times the movers were on time and very pleasant. They moved my items with care and broke down and assembled furniture as needed. They also shrink wrapped my sofa and dresser. Both jobs only took 2 hours each. The movers did not pressure me for tips which made tipping them much more enjoyable. I did have some minor scratches on my furniture but luckily they were not in noticeable places. At the end of the move I was very happy with the services received. The unfortunate end to such a positive experience happened today when I opened my clearly marked box of wine glasses only to find that they had all been crushed. Mind you I have shipped these same exact glasses from Los Angeles to Orlando via FedEx with no issues so I realized the only way this happened was because heavy boxes had been placed on top of the wine glasses box. When I emailed the company about making remedies for only 2 of the glasses (my favorites!) which cost only $13 each I received an email less than 6 minutes later stating that their insurance didn't cover my glasses. Hmm. I am not sure what the insurance actually covers then. I guess from a customer service perspective I expected a different response. I am a student so while this is a minor cost it is a cost none the less. All in all, I would highly suggest Mikes Moving for their kind and courteous movers. I dropped what would have normally been a 5 star rating because of the disappointment in which my glasses were treated and then how quickly my concern was dismissed.

If I could rate zero for this clown car moving company I would. The day of the move they were late. I didn't think the contract included smoke breaks. On top of that I read where people had personal damage done, these clowns damaged my daughters car. The one worker said you don't have to worry, Mike has good insurance. I called the fly by night owner the next day and for a week to settle the situation. No response, My biggest mistake was not contacting the police. Stay away from this so called moving company.

Mike's Moving is the most unprofessional company we've ever attempted to work with. This was our 3rd time booking them for a move, but they fell extremely short this time and I would never recommend them to anyone. I first made contact with Andrea with Mike's Moving on June 25th for our July 12th move. She took my information and charged us a $50 deposit and told me I would receive the contract in 2 days. After 3 days and no contract, I called the company to check on the status, no answer. It took me an entire week of calling them to finally get ahold of Andrea again on July 4th. She told me that "it wasn't a busy time for them" so they were delayed on getting back to me. Also that they have been out of the office for the 4th of July holiday. She emailed me the move contract and in that email said that she spoke with Mike who "Assured me that we would get the most experienced and best team leader and movers that they have. On top of that he is willing to give us a $25 discount as a repeat customer because they don't want to lose our business to another moving company". She then gave me her cell phone number to be able to reach her with any questions or concerns. We signed the contract on July 5th. I emailed Andrea on July 7th with 2 very simple questions..one question being what time can we expect the movers to arrive on June 12th. She responded July 9th saying she was going to double check the truck times and get back to me with arrival time. July 10th I emailed her again asking arrival time because we have a baby and a dog to coordinate care for during our move. I did not receive a response. I called her cell phone on July 10th and 11th, no answer. I finally received a call back from her the night of the 11th, the night before the move, saying they would arrive tomorrow morning between 9-10 AM and that they would call me before they left. The morning of our move we were 100% ready. 9:45 AM rolls around and we haven't received a departure call yet. I call Andrea and she tells me that "one of the movers hasn't arrived to the truck yet so they haven't left yet." I responded with "Mike assured us that we are getting your best and most experienced movers, yet they can't show up to work on time which makes our move delayed". I also expressed my displeasure with their lack of communication throughout the entire booking process and their delay in getting back to me in a timely manner. She couldn't tell me when they were going to arrive and said she wanted to wait to call me once she knew. I told her it's typically best to over communicate with your customers. She became frustrated with me on the phone and said "you can find new movers" then hung up on me. I attempted multiple times, on mine and my husbands phone to call her back and she declined our calls every time. 10 minutes later I receive an email receipt from Mike's Movers for a $364.96 charge "Move cancelled on day of move - 3 hour minimum plus 4% convenience, minus $50 deposit". This was completely unbelievable to us. She cancels the move on us, hangs up on me, refuses to answer our call, then charges us a cancelation fee. That is no way to do business and they should really reconsider who they have working for them. Luckily we were able to dispute the charge with our credit card.

I called and booked a move with Mike's Moving about two weeks before my move date. Two days before they were scheduled to come out, they called and canceled. We have to be out by 5pm, two days from now and everywhere I've called is either booked, or charging almost double for a last minute move. And for our trouble, all we were given was an apology and were told we'd get our deposit back. But after almost a month and SEVERAL phone calls they never refunded it. We had to dispute it with the credit card company. STAY FAR AWAY!. Unless you want to risk your move being canceled at the last minute, I don't recommend Mike's Moving.

This company is aweful! We gave them a $100 deposit to move on a Saturday. At midnight they texted and said they couldn't make it to my move and they would call me in the morning. I called them several times the next morning with no response. I ended up having to find another company last minute which was super stressful! When I contacted them for a refund they refused saying I cancelled the move, then hey threaten to charge my card more if I posted any bad reviews. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY, THEY TAKE UR DEPOSIT AND THEN NEVER SHOW UP!

My family had a horrible experience with this company. Initially they arrived two hours late for the move at my home I was given an excuse that somebody's girlfriend's car had broken down. I paid extra to have three movers instead of two. The gentleman that was on site and in charge was useless. I was quoted for a 6 to 8 hour move by Mike's moving as well as two other moving companies. So I trusted that. The move started at noon by midnight, they were still at my house. Two of the movers were so exhausted they were in tears. Isnt that their job? Finally ,Mike the owner of the company showed up after I called and said that they could not do anymore. Again, its midnight. He rescheduled it for the following day. The reason why it took so long was the disorganization of the manager that was on site who has since supposably been fired. Now we paid Mike's moving in full for an 8-hour move. Even after all that. We were assured my mike because of all the damage to our furniture... yes that's right ,damage to both bedroom sets, broken picture , etc.... that once we to file a claim it would be handled so we paid him in full. . we have had no contact after filing the claim, that has been a month ago. Do not trust this company. Our friends that we referred prior to the actual move , scheduled with them the following week and ended up just dismissing them after the first two hours because they realized how unorganized and dysfunctional the moving company was. They ended up doing the move themselves with their 3 boys.

We hired Mike's Moving for a move in May of a two bedroom apartment into a home. The scheduling process was easy enough. Day of we were their morning appointment, they arrived towards the tail end of their specified window; this isn't a group that gets out early to seize the day. The beat up truck (an obvious former Uhaul) should have been a warning sign, as should have the movers who lacked any uniform or designation that they were with a company and not a couple random guys. The move out of the apartment seemed slower than needed. The two movers walked around very leisurely and at one point disappeared for about 15-20 minutes. Once we got unloaded at the new house we noticed the couch had been dirtied and slightly damaged. This is where the real nightmare began. I submitted a claim to their email as instructed. Since then they have continually ignored my emails and phone calls, routinely going a week or more before responding and typically only doing so after the few times I get someone on the phone. We agreed to a claim price and now it has been complete radio silence. I've never spoken to the employee who handles claims, only received emails from her. I'm not confident she even exists. The owner Mike hardly answers the phone and then tells me he's gotten no calls or emails despite me emailing the address they have replied from and answering calls on same line I've left voicemails on. At this point I assume they are just choosing to ignore me in hopes I'll just go away. All over a small claim. I would strongly suggest you look elsewhere for your moving needs. Mike's Moving is a shady and unprofessional company. Please don't make the same mistake we did in hiring them. There are many options in Orlando and I find it hard to believe you could choose a worse option than Mike's Moving.

I would not recommend this company and highly suggest you dont give them credit card numbers! After giving a deposit over the phone without a "convienence fee" weeks before my move, they were unable to complete the move on the day held. Didn't show up, citing other moves took longer (over booked??). ...but they COULD re-schedule my move for 4 DAYS LATER! Expenses incurred on my end for not vacating on scheduled date beacuse of Mike's Moving failure were none of their concern. True to the other reviewers experiences here; no return calls the day before the move to verify, called the afternoon of move to get an ETA ... nothing given. End of day... not able to do the move and wanted to re-schedule for 4 days later. I have no confidence they would even show up 4 days later. I had to find new movers, last min. who DID show up the next day. The icing on this ... they charged my debit card I used for the deposit without my consent WITH a "convienence fee" for the min. hours of a move when THEY couldn't complete the move.

If you're moving to or from the Orlando area, you'd be foolish to look for any other moving company. This is the second move we've done with them and once again it was a perfect move. Our movers were Steve and Miguel and I've never seen such hard working guys. They didn't take one "sit down" break. Do yourself a favor and hire Mike's.

Mikes moving called Friday night at 11:15pm and said they had to reschedule for Monday Hey knew I was suppose to be out on Sat. They said they would find someone else I called 1pm and they said the other company couldn't make it. Never would I recommend this Company Still waiting on the deposit I gave them. Maybe I should call Action 9 News and report them Already reported them to the BBB

Do not use them. They damaged some of my furnature and after calling them a bunch of times they seemed like they were going to pay for the damage they stopped returning my calls. 2 inexperience movers shoved up took longer then it should have taken. Not a reliable company!

The worst part about Mike's Moving... is Mike. The two movers he sent out (pretty sure we agreed on 3) were extremely friendly and more than willing to do anything we asked of them. They were pretty careful, though we did find some scratches and chips on the furniture it was nothing that we shouldn't have expected. The infuriating portion of this endeavor is the complete lack of foresight, planning, intelligence, and personal accountability that the owner, Mike, exudes. After the initial phone call he was content to not speak to me until they showed up at my house apparently. I called three days before (on a Friday afternoon) to confirm my move. When I hadn't heard back from him by Sunday I gave him another call. He returned my call Monday morning just 30 minutes before they were to arrive and sounded irritated at my persistence. He also instructed me that his truck would have no issue hauling our 3 rooms worth of furniture. It was apparent when the dilapidated unmarked U-haul showed up in my driveway that they would be making multiple trips. Perhaps the gesture that Mike did to really drive home his lethargic demeanor was to not return any of my phone calls after the move had been completed. He is well beyond having a lack of customer service. A more accurate statement, in my opinion, would be that he just doesn't care.

After much research (and trust me, I did a lot!), I used Mike's for a local move here in Orlando, and it was amazing. The movers were prompt, fast, careful with my belongings, and professional all while moving my apartment from a 3rd floor to a 2nd floor on an extremely hot summer Florida day. I know I wouldn't have been able to make this move without them. I would absolutely recommend Mike's for anyone looking to move in the area; I will definitely use them again should I make another local move!

IMPORTANT TO KNOW BEFORE HIRING THIS COMPANY! The 2 movers who were sent to do the actual moving were awesome and on time. They were 2 nice, gentle guys and pleasent to work with... But if you absolutely have to call Mike on the phone however, he's NOT the nicest nor friendliest man on the block. I called to CONFIRM my own move because I didn't hear from anyone around 8 am, DAY OF and to ask about boxes. I understand it was last minute and they couldn't get any from the warehouse. . but damn, he didn't have to chew my head off! Don't expect to receive a nice pleasant voice on the other line if you call for any reason. That man gets 0 stars! Unfortunately, I cannot give an overall 5 star review even if only the movers were awesome (only 2 stars, one for each guys). They suffer from the company's lack of customer service, which counts for everything! I mentioned that I liked them on Facebook upon getting a message to save an extra $5 after signing the contract, and the movers had no clue and just said it was already included...which was not! Needless to say, I unlike them bc it didn't work. No one checked or even bothered before sending the movers. Also, my brother in law used them for their move and their new freshly painted wall was heavily scratched during the move. If you send evidence of it to Mike, it will be IGNORED. You have been WARNED! For the record, I hardly ever write reviews and that speaks volumes.

I used Mike's moving a few weeks ago to move into a two bedroom high rise condo. Needless to say it was not the easiest job, due to the fact that my condo was on the opposite side of the building in relation to the service elevator. My movers were Pablo and Steven. They worked efficiently and quickly. I paid $65/HR and they moved FAST (which $65/HR is relatively cheap compared to other companies I called). It took them 3 hours to move my stuff from one location (east Orlando) to the other location (downtown Orlando-30 minutes away). They took my furniture apart that needed to be taken apart, and put it back together just as they found it. They were professional and got the job done without any damages. In total, my move came out to $240 for 3 hrs. Highly recommended!

I always try to use small businesses in my area but I do not recommend using a company that has an owner who doesn't care about the movers he hires or his customers. Took three voicemails to get someone to call me back to schedule. The only reason I kept calling was because this company was highly recommended from a friend so I thought it would be worth it. However, the two movers could not get a queen size box spring up the stairwell. They tried to force it up the stairwell which caused damage to my wall, part of the stairwell and my curtains. They almost gave up until I coached them on how to get up the stairwell. I moved to a townhome that all have the same design and I'm pretty sure I'm not the first to have a queen size box mattress. One of the movers offered several times to fix the damage, which made me uncomfortable especially since I told him no the first time. They then called Mike on the phone who said it was against his policy to reduce the rate even by $20. Mike seemed to careless that his movers caused damage to my person property. I understand that things happen when moving and the damage was minimal but I don't appreciate hearing a bunch of excuses.

Lenny and Carl did a great job with our move. Going into it, we were extremely stressed based on a previous bad experience with a different company, but they turned that around. They were professional, courteous, and took great care with our belongings. Only one scratch found so far which is to be expected when moving a whole house full of furniture. They arrived on time and finished within the estimated timeframe. Cost was quite a bit less than other places I called. Very pleased overall and would highly recommend!

Their receptionist was SO rude on the phone....i didn't even bother to schedule and hung up on her. She called me back and was yelling at me as i was trying to tell her why i didn't bother to schedule and so i hung up again! Doesn't matter what her point was....she should have just been polite and apologized. She ruined a potential client!

The two gentlemen were very careful with our items and respectful and courteous throughout the process. My only concern was the six hour time from beginning to end, as I expected a speedier process for a such a small 2-bedroom move with no appliances. All-in-all, I would certainly recommend Mike's Moving to friends, as well as use them again myself.
