Gloria is amazing! Fit me into schedule last minute ! Day of move she tracked drive team for me so I knew when to head to storage unit . Drivers loaded up truck in a timely fashion and off loaded as well , set me up and no issues at all! If you are moving I recommend 100%! Drivers polite and mindful too very respectful! I have had 5 major moves on my life with using movers to pack and move and this was my WORST experience ever. Her final bill was $1300 over her estimate. They had issues with getting rental trucks and a LATE start to packing and loading trucks. Many of furniture items were scratched and or damaged that had to be thrown out. I have drawers that no longer close properly. I received a whole $45 check for the damage that does not even come close to be able to repair or replace those items. 1 lamp that had to be thrown out cost over $150 from crate and barrel and I received $6 for the damage of not packing properly. The guys were a great group of guys meaning well.. but she should not offer packing up a house as one of her services. It Doubled the time quoted to us. And she basically held me hostage till I paid a tip to a guy that i never saw and she wanted me to pay all guys the same tip when I felt all did NOT do the same quality of work and a tip is a favor not something required if less than desirable service. Only use if you want to pay over your estimate and have damaged goods delivered.

Excellent professional company. On-time and efficient. Gloria was very personable and went out of her way to make my moving dates work on short notice. I will definitely use them for future moves.

I found myself needing help moving late on a Friday night/ early Saturday morning. I was frantic and many places I reached out to were unable to accommodate my request even though my move was neither large or far. When I reaching out to Mother & Son's I was pleased to find that not only were they able to help me in a time frame that worked for me (that same Saturday), but my help was greatly professional and personable. This is not your typical company, the ownership and staff is well run and they are quick at what they do. My whole move took probably an hour and a half and I am forever thankful that I found them. Gloria, you are highly recommended.

Just to be clear...any interested person can ask me about the review that I posted as there is a lot more than what I disclosed. As far as not making a payment as indicated by Anna, I not only paid what was quoted, but I paid an additional $400 MORE than the quoted price and they were suppose to come back to finish the move for an additional $200 MORE...an amount that was not paid as they did not return to finish the job nor to return the patio furniture that was in their truck...so Yes I paid...$400 more than the quote and with patio furniture. Read the reviews that are not recommended as they also mirror my experience if the owner hasn't had the reviews removed.

I've used Mother and Sons 5 times so far. They have also moved my family members. They are incredible movers. Jonathon is the best at packing and time management. He makes sure our move always run smooth. The other guys listen to him and don't dilly dally at all. The owner, Gloria is such a sweetheart. She always there ready to accommodate any requests I have. Her prices are great. After our third move I no longer call a bunch of movers to get quotes. Gloria's work ethic, dependability and great prices prove that she is the best.

What could have been the worst move of my life was changed when Gloria and her team helped us so much/ Gloria personally came to my house and while the men were moving out furniture she asked my wife how she could help her as she saw we were stressed and trying to finish last minute packing and cleaning. She opened up our frig and started to help pack it then even wiped out the inside and cleaned it for us. Everyone was so nice and they took very good care of our furniture. All the help was great and friendly. They arrived a few minutes late but did get started right away. The communication throughout was great and clear. If you are looking for a great small move local company with a personal touch this it. Thank you Gloria for all your help and your team.

If I could leave ZERO stars, I would. I contracted with this M&S in August 2015, after being swayed by the "Mother" with her story on how she built her company from the ground up (blah, blah, blah). On the day of the move, they were a no show at the contracted hour and then reached out to my storage company to request after-midnight access without informing me first. I told them they would NOT be moving me after midnight and they needed to find an alternate solution since I had a contract. They suggested another mover with whom they send their overflow work, and who was able to move me on the following day. I was told he would honor my contract with them to the letter. Cornerstone Movers was the company, and I worked with Jose, the owner, to schedule the move for Sunday. His movers showed up and I gave them SPECIFIC instructions about one particular piece of furniture. Despite the warning - ultimately - they broke it in front of me. I tried to get repair from Cornerstone and heard nothing. I've not tried to get some compensation from M&S and they also have NOT made this good. I have waited this long to post my review to see if they would do something to honor my contract, but no luck!. STAY AWAY from this mover - unless you want horrible service, a company that no-shows, a company that works with other sub-par companies, and a company that doesn't make things right. Truly, go with Land O Lake movers, which is what I should have done!

Moving sucks. Movers, in general, suck. I've moved three times in the last year locally and interstate. This review is for a same day move.I was present at the departure and final destination on the same day. I was wary because I've been nickle and dimed while my stuff is on the truck and I have no control, I've been given estimates only to have that change in the middle of the move, etc. etc. Here's what you want in a mover: 1) Get a phone estimate, list what you have. Be honest. 2) Make sure they do a walk through of your place. If things take longer than expected, its on them as they had ample time to assess the place 3) Have a contact in the business who is not involved in the physical move. The conductor. 4) Have payment expectations in advance. Gloria is the conductor of this business. She works her tail off. She's old school and will work hard for you. She is HONEST. She did all of the above. The movers she sent me worked way longer than expected. She worked with me on this and did not cheat me (see #2 above). Her movers, John and Jonathan worked hard. They were kind and they wanted to help. We did not get everything done that we needed (two destinations, it was complicated) and my last destination had building restrictions, but they tried to help me nonetheless and set me up so I could easily finish what was necessary. This company is honest and consists of real, hard working people who care That's all you can ask when you're looking for a bargain while your boxes hold you hostage. The one star review below? Ask Gloria about it. That woman never paid and was not honest about what she had to move.
