Fantastic movers!! Super professional, showed up 15 min early (that never happens). Wrapped every last piece of furniture! They were done at my third floor, 2 bedroom apartment in under an hour! Great price!!! Definitely recommend!!

I will NEVER use Purple People Movers again. I'm a repeat and loyal customer 3xs over the past 10 years. Their operation has gone way down hill. The movers bent my Beautyrest king mattress. It was not noticed or pointed out during the move until I set up the bed. Also, during the move it started to rain, the cargo trailer hitch leaked water all over my couch and new Beautyrest queen mattress. The major water damage was not pointed out when they moved until after I sat on my couch and set up my daughters mattress. I contacted them to submit a claim and they ghosted me. Thanks PPM, out of pocket damages are $1,871.48 for 2 new mattresses and cleaning!! Update 10/2/19: In response to Mike. No covers were put on my mattresses or furniture. Don't use stairs as an excuse to bend a mattress. This was not the case!

I have used this company for 2 moves now and I will not use anyone else. The owner, Mike, is super honest and a no-BS type of guy. He will give you a quote and an hourly rate. He is reliable and his team is professional, neat and respectful of your stuff. For my most recent move, there were a total of 3 guys that came and moved my belongings and it cost me $150 (without tip). The whole move took about 2 hours and it was as quick, easy and painless as a move could be. HIGHLY recommend this company for your moving needs. thanks, purple people movers!

Twice these guys have moved me flawlessly and with genuine concern for all my items. They are experts in moving the difficult items such as my Hoosier China cabinet. They are beyond polite, courteous, careful, and expert movers!! I recommend them for any move!!!

I'm a st pete native, have moved here using other companies multiple times & I think they are the best movers in st pete! Mike is friendly, upbeat & super professional & timely with responses via email. The other guys he came with to move me too were super friendly, extremely fast, efficient & competent! Come with all necessary tools for disassembly & reassembly of any type of furniture AND super affordable. On top of all that they're very gentle & responsible to not damage you're stuff. Will stay loyal to them from now on!

Excellent service from start to finish. Gave me a quote without an inspection beforehand which was great as time was limited. Was able to do a 100+ mile move for me with a week's notice including coordinating multiple stops and various furniture piles. Gave me a flat rate with no surprises and was extremely flexible as I changed plans and inventory multiple times. Very reliable, professional, and fast but efficient. Would HIGHLY recommend.

I had a last-minute move, and I submitted a request for a quote late Friday night, when I had to move out on Monday. I got an email from Mike at 6am Saturday morning, asking for more information in order to give me an accurate flat rate. In the meantime, he quoted me a reasonable hourly rate in case I couldn't get information back to him, and reserved a slot for me at 8am Monday morning. Unfortunately, we weren't able to work out a time on Monday that worked for both of us (my appointment to pick up my apartment keys is at 11am), but I have nothing but good things to say about his professionalism and the speed and thoroughness of his response. I would absolutely recommend Purple People Movers for anyone in the Tampa Bay area.

I had a great experience with them - the flat rate ensured no surprise charges were assessed. They were efficient and got my move from 2 different locations done in less than 2 hours. I will use them again in the future if needed.

I was referred to this company from my son for he had used them in the past. I sent in a quote request and when I received the quote I wanted to book it. I called 3 separate phone numbers all being answered by voicemail stating it was purple people movers. I called several times leaving messages for which I didn't even receive a courtesy call back. I then went to their email and over a span of 3 days I sent at least 4 emails all of which went unanswered except one that said he had sent me a message. that was not TRUE for no where in my emails files was there any message other than the original quote. based on this my opinion of this company is very poor for they lack the professionalism and common courtesy of getting back to a potential customer, wasting that persons time all while trying to book a good moving company!!!! DO NOT EXPECT KINDNESS FROM THEM!!!!

Prior to this weekend, I would have given them a five star review. I've been recommending them for years after they moved me three times. Each move was very quick at a great rate. Based on my previous experiences, I didn't think twice about hiring them to take my furniture and household goods donations to a local charity prior to my out-of-state move. I received email confirmation for a Friday (1/16/15) appointment between 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. and was informed that I would receive a phone call on Thursday to make sure I was still on for the move. When I received no call by Thursday evening, I sent an email (which is how we had been corresponding up to this point) stating that I had not received a call, but was still on for the move. Early Friday morning I left a voicemail stating the same. I never received any response to my email or voicemail. They just no-showed. I left another message after my appointment time asking that they please contact me so we can figure out another time. Based on their previous work, I figured they would have the truck loaded in 20 minutes, so I pointed out that they could load the truck, then take my donation on their own time, even if they chose to wait a couple of days. I had already informed him that the following day was my last day in the city so these items had to be out of my apartment, but I again stressed this. The following day (my move-out day) I left another voicemail and sent another email asking that they please contact me so we can figure out a time. I still have not heard from them. This left me in a horrible bind. Had they at least called and informed me they couldn't do it, I would have had time to find someone else. Instead, I was left scrambling to find a different mover or charity that could schedule a pickup for that same day. Fortunately, Salvation Army came and had everything out in 15 minutes. Despite the fact that my prior experiences were so good, I cannot recommend them now based on a no-show to a scheduled appointment, plus no contact regarding it.

Purple People Movers provided exceptional service for my in-town move. A friend has used them twice and recommended them - but this was still far better than I expected. From the time I submitted an online inquiry, to the last handshake after I paid my bill - they were professional and handled this move with care. All four movers were professional - and were gentleman. They spoke to me with respect, as well as directly to me as a person, not rush by me as movers have done in the past. They kept moving the entire time, and worked well as a team with communicating and also treating one another with respect. All items arrived safely, and they even moved things like my plants that I wasn't sure how to transport. They took care to assess how to move larger pieces into small spaces and even took doors off (and put them back) to make it work. Each had a real "can do" attitude, which was immensely appreciated. They appreciated the challenges that arose and overcame any obstacles. Did I mention that the not only took care to move things into the appropriate space via the tables I put on the boxes, but they neatly stacked everything out of the way and against walls... AND they disassembled and reassembled my bed?! They did! While they do not advertise this, they are a Veteran-owned business, which was a wonderful plus - I mention this as it was CLEAR that their leader was a problem solver, and a hands-on business man, which brought up the conversation. Happy to support their business in any manner, but ever more so that it's a Veteran-owned business:) For some reason my next move dates doesn't work for them, I'll change the move date to be able to work with them again! :)

Mike and his crew are by far the absolute BEST movers out there!!! I was a bit nervous with the high end furniture that I have, but Mike quickly put me at ease. They treated my furniture and my belongings like they were their own. They moved and worked with each other like a well-oiled extremely efficient machine. I was surprised by their efficiency, extremely satisfied, and completely relaxed and very happy within a few minutes after they started. I didn't have too long to be in awe, because they finished packing my 3 bedroom home in less that 2 hours!!! I will use Mike and his crew whenever I need to move. I can't recommend them enough!

Just used Purple People movers to go from downtown St. Pete to southern Ga......these guys were flawless, professional, on time, and delivered next day in Ga.....after a 4 1/2 hour drive, they arrived 3 minutes ahead of the scheduled arrival.....absolutely fantastic.....highly,highly recommended!!

This is the second time I have moved with Purple People Movers and the experience has been great both times. This time, they packed what was left in my home and loaded it all into my moving truck for the drive out of state. They arrived right on time and got right to work. Their packing was very professional and the loading was great...they made sure not to stack on top of certain boxes I pointed out. Also, the prices they charge for boxes (high quality) are way less than you can buy retail. I could go on and on but the verdict is the same. Purple People Movers is the only company I would use in the Tampa Bay Area.

STEVE and his crew..knocked it out...with efficiency and care..Moved from a 6th floor condo 1270 square foot..to 3 Bedroom home.
