I used these guys to help me move grandma here with me in Arizona. She lived in that home for over 40 years so you can just imagine how much stuff she had. Not only did they give me an estimate quickly, the movers were kind to my grandmother and took special care of her antiques. They made moving her across country easy. I highly recommend them.

WOW. This was truly the worst experience of my life. My grandmother moved from Florida to Michigan and we trusted Summit with her belongings. Worst mistake I've ever made. Everything showed up completely damaged and ruined. EVERYTHING. When I called to complain they told me I need to file a claim then when that's settled they can help me beyond that. The claim process took 4 months-- yep! 4 months! And they just got back to me-- they're giving her $72! There was over $2000 worth of items damaged. Check out the pictures! And- not only that but they lied to me and in order to get the $72 I have to release Summit from all liability. In your dreams! I'm absolutely not quitting until she gets reimbursed for 100% of what was damaged. Also they create a new yelp page every time there's a bad review so this probably won't last long either. Please trust me and never use this company!

I was going through my past reviews and noticed that this company changed the name of one of their yelp accounts to hide their negative but accurate reviews. I'm decided to move back to Illinois. I filled out a form and started getting phone calls for movers LOL well let me tell you about this mover I answered the phone and this man told me who he was from and I said oh I was trying to look up the pods before I could explain that I would like to see what he had to offer the idiot told me then I should call pods!!! If this is the way they talk to customers I would never ever ever use them shame on you guys awful customer service not a way to talk to people. And I hope his boss is see this.

They Mover our 2 bedroom house and damaged our dresser, our credenza with long scrapes on front edge and a big dent on the top front left corner. They also damaged our coffee table with a big smash/dent in the side. While in storage the had credenza on its side and ruined the lacquer finish. These folks destroyed a lot of items. To top it off a man showed for delivery by himself in an 18 Wheeler. He had no one to assist him with unloading so my son had to help move everything in to the house. The driver got a helper from Craigslist and he quit after about an hour. He then charged us $600 additional for the stairs. To top it all off he paid my son $60 to unload the whole truck! They offered $68 for damaged items. Worst Mover in the planet!!!!

Interstates van lines US DOT 2837040, ICC MC 949446 are some scammers I move from FLORIDA TO NC in tree days North Carolina 700 miles. But they damaged a television they dropped it unsafely when they transferred it from one truck to another and it fell in a corner of the TV no longer works, they damaged a dining table, they broke a lamp. the estimate was 859 cubic feet for $ 2,500 equivalent to $ 2.91 cubic feet. At the time of moving day They came to my house in the truck and the driver Alex (russian guys)said that there were 1100 cubic feet and that it was $ 3.55 cubic plus 10% surcharge gas plus $ 399 for packing materials in other words they wanted me to pay $ 4000 .... after discussing it they left at $ 3500 but left things in the old house garage like a plastic plant a game table, books, worth $ 500 in losses. They damage cost $ 450 for the TV, $ 50 for the lamp, Dining table $ 500. Beware of the sales guy David Carver is a liar he said that I would not worry about the cubic feet because this was a flat rate that included everything labor and materials for $ 2500 When I called him and made a complaint, he hung up the phone and did not answer again. And Driver Alex was very rude because he also worked on commission. I tried to cancel everything but they had me tied up with my deposit of $ 650 dollars that David asked me a week ago. This was a nightmare. The truck that brought my move was another yellow PENSKE rental driven by a sub-contractor and there in the florida was another white truck .. on transferring everything they damaged many things like my television

Summit Van lines handled our move from Florida to Georgia. The initial pack and pickup was no problem. However, since our delivery date of June 29th; we have encountered nothing but frustration to the point that I now must speak out. When we moved; we selected the increased valuation of $10,000.00 vs a standard valuation of .60 per pound. Meaning if there were losses or damages(many) that the industry standard would have paid us about $72.00 vs. making an offer based upon full replacement value which was estimated by the moving company at $6556.70 The moving company approved a claim to be opened by their "claims department" MOVINGCLAIMS.NET After sending claims packages to them on three different occasions starting in July 2018; they approached us with a "settlement offer" of 72.00 based on their findings that the bill of lading and order for service "clearly stated a standard valuation of .60 per pound" and that I could submit a one time dispute based upon new information. When I informed Charlie (one of the owners) about the error that was made he too said I must file a dispute. This was done on December 5th; A month later I still have nothing to show for my efforts. Summit Van Lines working in connection with MovingClaims.net has done everything they can to dissuade me from filing a complaint against them. I have no choice at this point but to file a complaint.

Be careful with this company. This move was the most stressful ever, and this company added to the stress. Of course you can't rely on their over the phone quote. Expect to pay double or more than what they quoted. Also, when they pick up your move they will jack up the price repackaging everything you packaged with additional tapes, blankets, and plastic wrappings. At first you'll be impressed with how they wrap every single article with blankets and plastic, until you get the almost $1,000 materials cost added to the bill. And they do like to load up the truck before telling you the final cost. They like to say what you want to hear so the sales rep will say your move is going directly, but that's never the case. They completely forgot my queen size box spring, later found out it was left in their warehouse. They also completely shattered a glass table which they packed. And although everything was documented, it's been months since my ordeal with them and no ones ever contacted me. At this stage I won't bother. One more important thing. If you do end up using this company, keep track of your items. Get a book and number your boxes and items and keep your own records. They rush through, their own paperwork is badly done and you can have missing items and not know about it. While moving us in there was a table top that didn't belong to me and they insisted I could keep it. I didn't. This is the type of company that you just want to end the nightmare and move on.

I used this company a few days ago. I spoke with Rob Thomas in regards to moving some furniture pieces I had down here in Miami up to my father in Rhode Island. Initially we had a call and I explained to Rob my needs and exactly the pieces that I was shipping. Rob was very attentive to my needs and made things very easy. I felt comfortable so I booked. The movers showed up at my condo at a reasonable time. Everything Was explain to me from A-Z. I signed some paper work and off they went working. Everything was blanket wrapped and padded very nicely. It was to my standards and done very professionally. My father contacted me the day of delivery and once everything was unloaded we inspected. We had no broken items or damaged pieces. All and all this was a very reasonably priced move and I had no issues. I would recommend these guys to friend and family.

I only had three days to get finished with my move from Fl to Mexico, I was out of time and couldn't get the job done myself. I called around and got a few quotes and after talking to a few movers I noticed that Interstates Vanlines had the best rate to offer. They told me they could handle everything from the packing service to the moving and even storage if I so pleased. Moving companies in the Miami area are a dime a dozen but many seemed shady or had bad reviews. After hiring Interstates Vanlines I could not be more pleased, their driver Tony was on time and made sure everything made it from point A to point B without a scratch.The movers Andre and Raymond were both extremely hard working guys, I really couldn't be more satisfied. I will use these guys for any of my future moves, hands down the best experience I've had working with local movers to date!

IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS, I WOULD. Worst moving experience ever. CON ARTIST! Lost about 6k worth of our belongings after tripling the cost of the quote once everything was on the truck. Filed claim with their "claim department". Still haven't heard back from them. Our lawyer will be contacting them next. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. You will regret it like us!!!!

Finally my moving is done. Today I just received my belongings from Fort Lauderdale FL to Chicago. Their service was great and they took great care to understand my needs. They were straightforward about the rates and more importantly went over all fees that could apply which I was happy because I read a lot of reviews when I was first started looking online at companies. I saw a lot of situations where people had a ton of nasty surprises. Everything was over the phone and the rep even did a virtual walk through of the house over video which was cool and easy but even greater it saved me a little money because I did not have to pay the cost for someone to drive out. The payment terms the company requested was not a hassle at all. On the day of move they showed up right within the time range they gave me. The moving crew was professional and also took time to explain everything to me. They packed my furniture pieces very nicely in moving blankets. The whole process took about 2 hours. My items arrived in 5 days from the day of pickup. The company was very good about answering my questions through out the process and kept me up to date. On delivery day they were able to fit my tight timelines. Not a single item of mine got broken, dinged or scratched. I would definitely use them again in the future. If you're shopping for a company make sure you give these guys a shot.

Stay far far away!! This is the most unprofessional company I have had to deal with. Once most of the items were on the truck they tried to raise the price almost double..after some stern conversations with the manager the price magically lowered again..before leaving, the guys actually had the nerve to ask for their tip..before I even had the opportunity to offer it. Took them almost 2 weeks to deliver and you have to call at least 10 times to actually get someone to answer. Upon delivery they charged us an additional $150 for stairs that were originally discussed in the contract with the manager. The truck was completely jam packed and all of our items were mixed in with others..they had to climb over furniture to get our boxes out. Our boxes looked as if they had been thrown around and were basically destroyed. Long story short pay a little extra for a more reliable and honest company.. Moving is stressful enough and they made it no easier. I was stuck sleeping on the floor of an empty apartment waiting for them to show up because they didnt even have the courtesy to call me and inform me they were delayed. They dont care about customer satisfaction and are only interested in the money and tips. PLEASE BEWARE!!

First off, I want to start by saying I used to work for a moving company as a summer job. I worked for a great company so I'm pretty familar with how things are supposed to look and run. I initially submitted an online request for my upcoming move to California. I needed moving of some furniture I had down in storage for our vacation home in Florida. After I submitted the request I received a million phone calls. A few of the guys that called me sounded very unprofessional and they really didn't seem to care or take their time in assessing my needs. I then had a voicemail from Rob and out of everyone he actually sounded like he had a brain. I spent about an hour with Rob going through everything that I was moving and I also requested to have my items professionally packed. The pricing Rob gave me was for sure not the cheapest or the most expensive. I have learned working for a moving company though that alot of the companies that are super cheap are just trying to entice you to go with them. Then magically your price goes up so to be honest I didn't mind paying a little more for peace of mind. Dealing with Rob was great and I felt comfortable so I booked with him ahead of time. 48 hours before move day I received the schedule for pick up. On move day I got the call from the driver that they would arrive within an hour. When the foreman and his crew arrived the first thing we did was do a inventory check and sit down and go over paper work. I was very worried about my items being packed properly. The guys that came did an excellent job packing literally every stick of my furniture was protected and packed nice and tight on the truck. I ended up having an extra 10 boxes but the foreman was super cool and they just charged me the normal rate it was around an extra $100. The shipment took about 8 days to get to me after they picked up which to me was reasonable. When the items arrived the guys unloaded everything and put it in the rooms I wanted. I had literally no damages and everything came perfect. I was superrrrr happy about this because I paid alot of money for some of the furniture and I had some reallly cool art work that I was worried about. If you are looking for a great company that are not crooks and actually care about your needs rather then just throwing your stuff on a truck and collecting money then you should go with these guys. I highly recommend you give them a chance, you won't be disappointed.

I recently hired this company to move my kids and wife from FL down here to Texas with me. We were moving a 3BR house. I was very concerned with selecting a moving company after the things I read online and watching things on the news. My wife initially spoke with all the reps and widdled our choice down to about 3 companies. Out of all the companies we chose this one. Rob our rep just took so much time and seemed like he actually cared about what were doing. He went over everything with us from A-Z and answered every single one of our questions. We felt very comfortable with our choice. On move day the guys showed up and met with my wife. According to her everything was packed very nice and the guys were super nice to her and my kids. They were at the house for about 3 hours. We had a few items that we forgot to mention on the list but they were super cool and we worked everything out. The guys arrived at my place in Texas about 6 days later. Everything was unloaded and placed in its proper room and they also put our beds back together for us. Everything arrived as it left and we really had no damages which was awesome because insurance was the last thing that I wanted to deal with. I want to thank Interstates VanLines for providing us great service and getting my familys belongings to us in one piece. I will most definitely be recomending you guys to friends and family.
