I used Scott's Discount Movers after comparing prices from this and several other companies on Yelp. First of all, while other companies replied back through Yelp, Scott was the first one to be like, "We need to talk IRL." So he called and we discussed my needs and what services he had to offer. He sent over his insurance information and a questionnaire to be completed so that he could write out the contract. I received an electronic copy of the contract prior to the arrival of the movers and a paper copy was made available for me to sign upon their arrival. Did I mention that this was all within a few hours of closing? Did I mention that this was for a next day move? This man is an organized machine, I tell you. Following the move, he sent the electronic receipt for payment and I was able to submit an electronic payment (with a small convenience fee tacked on) after the movers left. The two guys showed up EARLIER than expected (I know, right? That NEVER happens!) and immediately got to work wrapping and moving furniture as I finished packing (yes, because I'm a lazy slacker). They moved the furniture, delivering everything as best they could. There were only a few minor cosmetic issues with a few items delivered. Overall, they did a phenomenal job with what they were given to work with. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a reputable company that does business in an organized and professional manner.

We had an appointment with this moving company at our rental. They were a no call no show. They also will not supply packing materials, they want you to buy you own so they dont have to worry if they have enough or not. The previous owner who ran a reputable business left the company and these two are trying to do it on their own. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Although I was unable to use Scott and his company to move I am overly impressed with the customer service that I have received. I had a move scheduled for this upcoming Sunday based on his reviews and the best quoted price that I had received. Unfortunately they had an issue with some of their employees and were not going to be able to help me for this weekend. Instead of either not letting me know or waiting until last minute, Scott called me early enough to tell me the news and even recommend several different companies to call. As frustrating as it may be and having to worry about scrambling around to find another company I understood the problem and appreciated the communication and his concern to make sure I was at least given some reputable companies to go with instead. I was able to schedule a move with one of these companies for the same time and date so crisis averted! Thanks Scott for looking out and if I move in the future I'll be sure to still give you a chance.

We used Scott's movers for a recent move from a two bedroom apartment to a one story house. They showed up on time and with the three-man crew as promised. The guys were courteous and seemed to hustle in getting the first several runs of boxes and furniture down to the truck. They seemed knowledgeable about how to shrink wrap some items and how to stack others, etc so we were happy with the beginnings of the move. But that's where our satisfaction ended. There were at least two times where the crew took 15-minute breaks in the middle of the move. That was against policy after speaking with the Scott, the owner. The move took 7 hours and 15 mins including 15 mins of travel time to our apartment and then 15 mins to our house. We didn't have a large amount of stuff and it didn't even fill a medium sized truck, so the move took an inordinate amount of time. Scott did call us as the move was finishing and asked if we knew why the move took so long relative to our belongings and I had no answers besides the breaks. To help compensate, he did provide a 45-minute credit to our bill. But still, from a time perspective this move was on the longer side relative to our belongings (no couch, no appliances, etc). The part that was really bothersome was what we discovered the next day. As we unpacked our boxes of clothes, towels, etc all we could smell was cigarette smoke. Not sure if the guy who stayed in the truck to help coordinate the load smoked the whole time or that's what happened on the breaks, doesn't really matter. When we brought it up, unfortunately there was not even apology. All in all, I would not recommend Scott's movers. Pluses are they were punctual and knowledgeable about how to properly move our belongings. Minuses are the length of the move given our belongings and the smoke smell in our clothes.

First time I'd ever used a moving company so I was a little nervous, but the experience was very positive! Serge and Manny arrived early, got to work immediately, and they were both very pleasant, friendly, and professional. They were careful with my things and moved my furniture quickly and without incident, even though they had some tight spaces to maneuver. It was all done in no time. Scott set up my move and spoke with me prior to moving day to nail down the details; he was in touch with me regularly. The price that Scott quoted me over the phone was the exact price I paid on moving day, and it was very affordable. I would enthusiastically recommend Scott's Discount Movers to anyone looking for movers who get the job done professionally and at a fair price. Thanks for making moving day a breeze for me!

First time using professional movers, and I was a little stressed. These guys made my day. Let me start by saying, Gio & Ryan are consummate professionals! Cannot say enough good things about Scott's! I was very apprehensive about getting movers due to horror stories I had heard from others. The process was smooth & clear from start to finish. Scott stayed in contact in the week leading up to the move to let me know what to expect. The guys were actually able to get to me earlier than expected. They were extremely polite, fast, & careful with my belongings. I would highly recommend Scott's to anyone!

After getting several quotes from various movers around town, we decided to go with Scott's. He was highly professional, maintained excellent contact, and his price was the best quote we got. Our final price was exactly where we expected it to be. Our 3 movers were fantastic and did a great job. I would, without a doubt, recommend Scott's team for anyone looking for help with their move.

I Selected Scott and his team to move a local business after obtaining quotes from four different local movers. Scott's bid was $450 less than the next lowest bid and less than half of the highest bid. He estimated an eight hour time frame. The three-man team he sent was stellar. They arrived early, worked together well, were incredibly pleasant the entire time, willingly and with a great attitude relocated items we needed moved once we were in the new location AND got the job done in five hours instead of eight. Everyone at the office was extremely impressed. We cannot recommend Scott's Discount Movers highly enough!

I had a great experience with Scott's Discount Movers. Mr. Scott was very helpful in discussing the move and send me a contract to review before the move. The three personnel who did the move showed up on time and were efficient. The price was reasonably and below what was quoted. I would recommend Scott's Discount Movers.

Very nice, on time, went over all of the furniture and contract with me before we started so there were no surprises. Had a 3 hour minimum, but finished in 2, which was no issue with me since they moved very fast and effectively. The movers had a mini argument between themselves over a dresser which had me take away a star, more for lack of professionalism than anything else, because they were more than polite with me. I'd definitely use them again, quick, cheap, and I appreciated Scott's directness.

We used this company who was referred by our realtor. They moved us on Thursday. They crew was fast, respectful and friendly. It took a while for them to move us from house A to house B, but we are a family of 7. When the couple of guys couldn't move the refrigerator from house A, the other two that were on house B had to go back and see if they were able to take the doors off since the other ones couldn't. I own an LG French door refrigerator. This is worth $4,000. The doors were dented by the first two guys who tried to move the refrigerator around the kitchen. I know they dented because I had to go back to the house to pick up a few things. I called and told my husband right away. Once the crew was done, my husband mentioned it to the guys that our fridge was dented by them. It was put in the report for their boss to put in a claim. We've been waiting since Thursday to hear from their boss. But he never called back. Today my husband called them back and he said that it was my husbands duty to call businesses that repair dents and send him the quote. He also mentioned that he charged us $100 less as if we should be happy and not say anything about it. First off his crew took a break to go eat lunch...which good for them they're human beings and need their protein for strength. Second of all I bought the crew pizza and gave them a few things from my house. Third of all if this guy says he's insured then it should be his responsibility to put in a claim not us going out and finding businesses that repair dents. Again we're a family of 7...5 of them under the age of 8 with a newborn!!!! At the end he told my husband he wasn't going to put in a claim. Also In a way he insinuated to my husband that because he gave us $100 less we should say nothing about the dent. He in fact told the mover the day of that he'd charge us less because of the break the crew took. $100 is not the same as a $4,000 worth of a fridge. But what would he know. I personally wouldn't recommend this company at all. The guys like I said were phenomenal but if something happens to your belongings, then know that it'll be your job to find someone to quote you, then run it by him, see if he likes the price and then get it fixed. A move is never smooth. Everyone knows that but it shouldn't be this way either. We didn't even mentioned to him that our walls got dirty. One of the steps were scratched. The rails were hit with something that the paint came off. But hey the $100 he gave us should cover all of this plus more.

When we moved to Jacksonville two years ago we had a disastrous move. When we listed all the items that were broken it came to three pages worth. This time we used Scott's. I can't express enough how happy we were. They actually came early! They called before they came. They were some of the hardest working people with whom we've ever worked. They were polite and friendly. NOT ONE ITEM WAS BROKEN. We can't recommend this company enough.
