We are planning a local move but will not use this mover mainly because after a in-home survey of our household goods, we never received the written estimate. The sales rep, Perry was fine. He quoted one of the lowest hourly rates out 9 movers we talked to. They were actually in our top three based on what he said. But needless to say if they can't follow through on an estimate I would not want to trust them with the actual move.

This company only cares about taking money from the government for mandatory military moves. They are not concerned about the military families at all. I don't care if it's a busy PCS time, if they can't handle the loads, then they shouldn't keep scheduling them. The government already throws tons of money away on unnecessary expenses and this company shouldn't be taking advantage of that at the servicemembers' expense!

Recently moved from Coral Gables to Doral area. The movers were on time to the minute, packed everything very carefully and then unpacked exactly the same way. I could not have asked for better service. Tony De La Torre provided the quote within hours of my request, explained the entire process and then followed up the day before the move. Bonnie Bottini, the move coordinator, called and followed up as well to ensure everything was ready and answer any questions. Truly an amazing experience to have such professionalism. Huge thank you to this Miami Suddath team!!!!

Subpar experience with this military move. Suddath moving co was assigned to me on 16 Nov, and scheduled me pack/pick up date of 14 Dec. - A pack/pick up 3rd party agency was assigned, and conducted a walkthrough on 19 nov to confirm our estimated weight. - On 13 Dec the movers arrived. They were unexpected and we were not prepared to proceed with the packing. We had the 14th circled on our calendar and had a list of things we still needed to prepare. After calling the local moving company and Suddath, We came to the conclusion that the email informing suddath of the time change(needing 2 days the 13th/14th)went to someone's inbox at suddath who had not been at work for a while, therefore the news of the change never made its way to my family. After speaking to my suddath rep, all I got was a " well we're verry sorry about this" but sorry only carries so much weight. My 4 mo pregnant wife and I and had 2 hours to get our stuff semi ready, all while having our kids with us (Childcare was lined up for the 14th). Absolutely a stress filled day, that no one took sincere responsibility for.

Add the Taylor family to the list of military families being emotionally abused by Suddath. I, too, would give negative stars if that was an option. We're nearly a month past the required delivery date (RDD) that we agreed to, which is more than a week after the real RDD. We have family in Texas, we went to visit them and give this company time to resolve our situation. Did they do anything? No. Zero communication. Ignored emails. All we are hearing is "driver shortage" and peak military move season, which, nearly a month after the RDD only sounds like more lies. We had to tell them where our stuff was, TWICE! I may not be able to affect much change, but I will do what I can to make sure nobody we know in the Army willingly accepts this company for their move. With another week to wait before our belongings are delivered, I'll update this review. They are assisting with our inconvenience claim, but that's because another military family blew this story wide open on the CBS affiliate in Jacksonville, FL.

Don't waste your money. We had a local move with storage. Should not have been a big deal. As it turns out, it was. Our belongings were loaded neatly onto the truck by a very polite and careful crew. They get 5 stars. We were led to believe that the load was going to the storage facility and would be loaded just as professionally into crates the next day. That didn't happen. They offloaded the truck to a space on the floor where it sat for weeks. Then it was loaded into crates. When the crates arrived, it was the most unbelievable experience. They had heavy furniture on top of chairs. Heavy boxes were stored on top of lamp shade boxes. Furniture was gouged.Boxes were crushed. The offloading crew said that the warehouse crew just "threw stuff into the crates." Throughout the process, the sales people and customer service reps were the most unhelpful, nonresponsive I've ever encountered. The one good thing? They paid the claim. But it wasn't worth the cost of doing business with them.

Avoid this moving company like the plague. Their incompetence runs through the entire organization. We are currently in the throes of their mismanagement of our military move and could not be more dissatisfied. They are quick to offer inconvenience items but as a custodian of taxpayers money, I fear that is just one more opportunity for the company to fleece the government. If my bad YELP review along with what looks to be many more are not convincing enough, there are Plenty of social media sites relaying their "sad-dath" experience. I would encourage folks to avoid this company. They will only bring you headache and trouble.

I'm not sure what was worse, the crew they sent out to pack our household goods or their customer service once I filed a claim for all of the damage to my household goods. Find someone else and failing that, try building a giant slingshot to launch your things across the country. In that case, your stuff will still arrive broken, but at least the slingshot would be fun to use. After reading a number of other reviews, I should add some detail to help clarify my complaints. For starters, it's worth pointing out that mine is another military move. I still haven't received a settlement from the company (8 months later) and they denied my claim on a set of rare books packed improperly and damaged during the move (I was literally told that they are old books and I should expect them to have some wear and tear). In terms of packing, the company arrived with improper materials. I have a large collection of books, a point made explicit by the pre-move inspector (as in, "you have a lot of books so we'll need to make certain that we have a lot of book boxes"). The packers arrived without any book boxes--not a single one. As a result, many of our books were packed into oversized boxes and improperly at that. They also did not have any television boxes for my two flat screen televisions. Instead, they packed the two of them into a motorcycle box. Prior to the move, I called Suddath to complain about the state of the packing in general and the televisions in particular. The representative from the company informed me that "I could just file a claim if anything were broken." It's worth noting that it took me several days of phone calls to even get in contact with someone at the company, which has been a consistent problem throughout this move. The company has made clear that many of their difficulties this past summer were a result of not having enough drivers available. I wish I had been so fortunate. All of my problems have been the result of Suddath having a driver available for my move.

Outstanding coordination on my move. Jessica was proactive and informative. She was always available for all questions and pleasant on the phone. The delivery service was excellent. Timmy, Gil, and Alfonso were fast, professional, and polite. Everyone did everything they committed to doing! I would highly recommend Suddath for your move.

I wish there was a way to give zero stars. Our move coordinator, Tia was rude at every turn (and that's when we could actually get a hold of her). We're a military family and we're moving from California to Colorado. Packers came from local company. Truck was supposed to load next day. Tia called and said we have no truck and no driver for tomorrow and we're closing in 10 minutes. They blamed it on driver shortage, but she had requested driver and he never confirmed. She didn't start looking til day before. She offered to pay rent and per diem for food. Then offered random driver from LA who didn't have a truck large enough. He'd take to an undisclosed location and store until they could get a truck. We didn't feel comfortable with that. Were waiting for truck. Then a few days later they backed out of contract! Left us stranded with no plan! Also, no pay for meals or hotel, as promised. We've moved for over 20 years with the military and have never been treated like this.

It does not do any good reaching my point of contact, as I have yet to receive a response. It really show's the quality of work and customer service dedication I expected, substandard.

We had the same issue with this company. After reading everyone else's post, they seem to have had it a bit more rough than me. I wish I didn't have to give them any stars just to leave a comment. Doris Capps was the most feckless move coordinator I've ever dealt with out of all my military moves. The only time Suddath made contact with me was the initial email. No other emails or phone calls unless it was initiated by me and even then it took Doris a few days to return my calls or answer my emails. We had no driver assigned to us on pickup day and she didn't even bother to let us know. I had to call her and ask when the driver was going to contact me. She informed me they didn't schedule a driver and our HHG would be stored at the packing company's warehouse. Having gone through this before during a previous move, I knew they had to crate our HHG shipment because we were in G11 status since we didn't have a driver. I asked her if our shipment was going to be crated and she didn't have an answer. Luckily the contracted packing company, United Affiliated, kept me updated more than Doris from Suddath did. Our stuff was crated and weighed by United and emailed to myself and Suddath on 4 June. A couple days after that, I emailed Doris to find out if a driver was scheduled to pick up our HHG. She finally replied two days later to tell me a driver would be dispatched once our HHG were crated and weighed. I emailed her the paperwork which was sent to the both of us earlier in the week by United Affiliated. I called her and asked for her supervisors contact information and she gave me the name number of the operations dispatcher who was not her supervisor. The only way I found out our shipment was finally picked up by a driver and on its way was from United Affiliated. The shipment finally made it from Altus, OK to Lancaster, CA on 26 June which was way past the RDD. Doris did not inform me at all about being able file an inconvenience claim. I had to bring it up during a conversation between her and I. The only way I found out our shipment had made it was by Lancaster Moving and Storage calling me to let me know our stuff had arrived and they wanted to schedule a delivery date. No updates from Doris at Suddath. Luckily the contracted companies who packed and unpacked us were awesome. The horrible service provided by Suddath and especially Doris Capps will reflect on my post move survey. She is totally inept and should not hold the job of a move coordinator. I hope this company loses its contract with the DoD to move military members. You have the right to refuse this company when scheduling your next military move. Do not use Suddath the next time you PCS!

I wish there was a 0 rating. These people are horrible. They ruined our monitors and broke our ping pong table, then paid out a claim of $114, 1/10 of the value of the damage they caused. DO NOT USE.

Suddath was by far the most professional moving company I've worked with. From the initial survey, to packing and unloading Suddath gave us peace of mind. They showed up exactly on time, had us packed up in no time and were on their way. They had a very tight delivery window and they showed up at our new home exactly on the date and time promised. I would gladly use them again.
