Team that came to the house was incredibly polite. They took care to double and triple check to make sure everything was packed. I feel confident our belongings were well taken care of

We are a military move from Colorado to South Carolina. The military has assigned us a relocation coordinator with Suddath of Jacksonville Florida. As of today 5/21 our household goods have been packed and picked up. However the terrible service we have been provided is adding up. 1). The packer Our coordinator Claudia assigned was terrible. They changed our number of pack days to 2 and then ended up working overtime to get it packed. They also failed to pack the glass lamp shades and the entire cabinet in the garage. 2). The transport company they assigned showed up to load on Friday and only only had room for 1/3 of our 9000 lbs. instead of Suddath forcing the subcontractor they chose to load us as scheduled they had to send a 2nd truck at 6pm Friday; of which STILL couldn't load it all. 3). On Friday at 6pm when the second truck arrived and told us they couldn't load it all we tried every phone number we had for BOTH the local subcontractor and Suddath. Guess what, no one answers. No one from Suddath even bothered to call us Monday. I had to call Claudia, our Suddath coordinator, Tuesday morning. 4). My husband had to talk to the GM of the local subcontractor to get the last (2000lb) of our goods picked up Sunday afternoon. 5). At no time did Suddath try and help with this situation. No one was available after hours or on the weekend. Even when Claudia knew we were having issues all day Friday. Now we are waiting to see if all three of our shipments even make it to SC. And if they do will they arrive my the required delivery date 31 May? I couldn't be any less impressed so far. I will update this review once our goods are delivered. Hopefully the back end of this move has better communication and coordinator from Suddath.

I'm not sure what was worse, the crew they sent out to pack our household goods or their customer service once I filed a claim for all of the damage to my household goods. Find someone else and failing that, try building a giant slingshot to launch your things across the country. In that case, your stuff will still arrive broken, but at least the slingshot would be fun to use. After reading a number of other reviews, I should add some detail to help clarify my complaints. For starters, it's worth pointing out that mine is another military move. I still haven't received a settlement from the company (8 months later) and they denied my claim on a set of rare books packed improperly and damaged during the move (I was literally told that they are old books and I should expect them to have some wear and tear). In terms of packing, the company arrived with improper materials. I have a large collection of books, a point made explicit by the pre-move inspector (as in, "you have a lot of books so we'll need to make certain that we have a lot of book boxes"). The packers arrived without any book boxes--not a single one. As a result, many of our books were packed into oversized boxes and improperly at that. They also did not have any television boxes for my two flat screen televisions. Instead, they packed the two of them into a motorcycle box. Prior to the move, I called Suddath to complain about the state of the packing in general and the televisions in particular. The representative from the company informed me that "I could just file a claim if anything were broken." It's worth noting that it took me several days of phone calls to even get in contact with someone at the company, which has been a consistent problem throughout this move. The company has made clear that many of their difficulties this past summer were a result of not having enough drivers available. I wish I had been so fortunate. All of my problems have been the result of Suddath having a driver available for my move.

I have never been more furious with a company than I am with Suddath and Suddath Relocation Systems. It took 5 WEEKS to receive our household goods, and when we did they were broken and in terrible condition because they FAILED to place them in climate controlled storage for WEEKS in the muggy and wet Florida summer. They fought us tooth and nail on both inconvenience claims and damages, paying only a fraction of what they should have and making the whole process INCREDIBLY difficult (taking over a month to respond to an email or phone call). Since our experience with them, I have heard several horror stories about this company from several military friends and families. If you have had a bad experience with them as well, I beg you to go review their company on Facebook, Yelp, and with the BBB. They are taking advantage of military families and it needs to stop. IF YOU READ THIS before you move and you are assigned to Suddath for a military move, CALL TMO IMMEDIATELY and request someone else!

If I could give negative stars, I would. Unfortunately this company has a government contract and I was not given a choice but to use their services as my move was government related. But they have been extremely disorganized and very poor at customer service My initial date my furniture was scheduled to arrive was November 30th. That did not happen. On December 1st, after hearing nothing, I called Suddath because no one had attempted to reach out to me, and was told that they did not know where my stuff was but would look in to it and get back to me. No one ever called me back. On December 3rd, I again attempted to reach some one to find out what was happening. All I was told was that my relocation agent was on vacation. Later that day I received an automated email stating that my stuff would arrive sometime between the 5th and 6th of December, still with no explanation. On the morning of the 7th of December, still with no word from anyone, and no furniture arrival, I had to again reach out to Suddath in order to try and get someone involved. Now they think I MIGHT hear from someone tomorrow. I'll update this review if I ever see my stuff again, but do not recommend ANYONE to use this company

No idea why the Military base in San Diego chose this group for our move to Wisconsin but they did. I can't say 'Lack of Communication' enough. They literally dragged this move out to the last day. When they told us it would be delivered Aug 21st we were ready. Then we saw online we had to CALL to schedule a delivery when our stuff got there the 16th. That would have been nice to know. Absolutely pitiful service who obviously takes advantage of Military. Can't wait to receive my broken things, because I'm sure stuff will be broken.

I truly wish you can leave negative stars because if that was the case this company would be a negative 100 and that's not over exaggerating. I had one of the worst PCS experiences. I am unsure why the military pick this moving company. Is it because they are the lowest bidders? The movers arrived at my house in St Marys Georgia 2hrs late they didn't even bother calling me to tell me that they're going to be late. I had to call the company get bounced around several times before I reached a dispatcher who contacted the driver and then I'm told what's going on. The driver and his two helpers were very friendly they apologized. The driver proceeded to tell me that he didn't know that he was supposed to come to my house he was on the other side of Georgia when he got the phone call. I wasn't on his itinerary so he was a bit irritated but he and the 2 packers was courteous to me. I thought the packers did an amazing job packing my household goods. I found out differently once I received my household goods McGuire- Dix Base in New Jersey. Anyway, I was given a delivery date one of many. They missed the first date, I received the email they changed it to a second date on the second date. I still haven't received my household goods. I'm contacting the company on the receiving end. They don't know what's going on. I'm not getting answers from Suddath. I'm getting bounced around, no emails or phone calls are getting returned. I had to get the TMO and Jag involved. I finally get answers and their response to the entire situation is file an inconvenience claim. Meanwhile, I find out that they unpacked and repacked my household goods that was wrapped in moving blankets at my house and opened the closed containers (totes) off site which I'm still irritated about. Then they wrapped my household good up in brown paper. Anyway, they then proceeded to Crate my household goods at there location why I don't know because it's going from Florida to New Jersey but they decided to crate it like you do when pcsing overseas. I find out from one person that they misplaced my household goods, another story is that they put it in crates to be stored because they "didn't have an available driver to go up to New Jersey" but instead of telling me this and keeping me posted they chose not to. Suddath then delivered my household goods to another moving company which is location to the base in New Jersey. This company Twin Oaks moving co then gave me the run around on where my households are and then I'm going to receive it. They finally tell me that they received it from Suddath crated and that they have to find an available driver and truck. So again I'm very irritated. I have to file claims because things were broken things and missing from them unwrapping and rewrapping my household goods. And no one is being held accountable for their actions. Do not use this company. If your military and you find out that they have been assigned to you. Change it to a ditty move it will be much better.

The WORST move we have had in 20 years in the military. Absolutely NO communication and NO idea or concern for where your HHG is - I didn't even know such bad service was possible. I will never allow Suddath to coordinate any other moves - I would rather do a DITY move then deal with such horrible service.

We used these movers for a move from Florida to North Carolina, with months of storage in between. Fist off, they have hired excellent front-line people. The gal that came to our house to meet was a gifted salesperson, and we trusted her. The movers were okay, nothing bad, nothing great, but we were satisfied. We finally bought a house in North Carolina and they set a date for delivery of our household goods. First, we waited all day for the delivery. No show. When I finally called the company, it turned out that the boys stopped for the night in South Carolina (their home town) for the night. Evidently they had reached their maximum number of hours for the day. Convenient. However, they couldn't be bothered to call us, so we waited for hours. I had warned them ahead of time that our small mountain road would not be able to accommodate the tractor-trailer turnaround, so they took additional time to rent a smaller truck to make it to our house. Of course, they were over an hour late from what we had been told. When they arrived, it was discovered that they had left their moving tools dolly, etc on the large truck, which was miles away. Perfect. A couple of the guys were fine, but about two of them were just flat-out LAZY. They had bad hygiene, and smelled up our house every time they came in. As they were driving away, we had to run after them, because we noticed they had put our dining room table together and my dresser mirror wrong. It was a very disappointing end of the move.

What a great move! I recently moved locally with Suddath and had to have a one day move from a second story condo to a house. The team of Edwin, Ramon and Josh who loaded and delivered our goods were amazing, they were fast and as friendly as could be. Great job! Highly recommend them!

This is by far the worst moving company we've ever had in our 6 moves in the military. LIES, LIES, LIES. I'm not sure why the government is still contracting with this company. Probably because they're lying about their customer reviews. I think it's terrible that this is how men and women who serve our country and risk their lives are being treated.

I wish zero stars or negative stars was an option. I've literally never experienced such horrendous customer service. I was never able to get anyone to answer the phone and when I left messages I never got called back. Do not do business with this company.

If at all possible PLEASE do NOT use this company. We've had 7 military moves and without question this is the most difficult. This company has low to no customer service, is not communicative, says they will get answers "today", impossible to get a hold of. What a shame that military service members and their families have to go through such horrific experiences just to simply get their HHG. The neglect is wrong.

Military move and they changed our move date without contacting us (they changed the wrong service members move date). Day of the move comes and then no one obviously shows us. No one answers the phone or returns a call. No sense of ownership or urgency on this situation. We are having the contract pulled from them.

If you're a military member and you're assigned Suddath as your mover - call your transportation office and request a different company. Suddath is the most dishonest, disorganized company I've ever worked with and this by far was the worst PCS move I've ever conducted. To finally get our household goods delivered required daily, sometimes hourly calls from my husband and myself to include the Military Quality Assurance offices in both our departing and receiving location. Let's start from the beginning. We were authorized a 3 day pack out and 1 day load. We were called the day before, that we would be doing a 3 day pack, but the last day they would condense with the load. Our packers arrived and told us they would only be doing a 2 day pack out. It didn't get done in 2 days, and it barely got done in 3 days unsurprisingly. In addition, we had 3 items that get crated due to the size/value. We were up front about this and every time someone contacted us we stated we needed these items to be re-crated. Suddath never arranged for a crate company. Their solution was they'd send a crater eventually and those three items (worth more than the entire cost of the move) would catch up to us eventually. We were promised a direct delivery and told them that was unacceptable and they finally delayed the shipment to ensure ALL of our goods would be shipped together. Unfortunately this had some unintended consequences. Namely, our items arrived two weeks after our required delivery date. So, we had a brand new empty house, no furniture, and inconveniently all of our goods were delivered 3-4 days after we reported to our new duty stations. While our commands were flexible in allowing us time to unpack, we had to purchase new uniforms to report into our next units. We had stupidly packed them into our household goods shipment, believing the company would actually deliver by our required delivery date. Silly right? To think the company would actually hold to their government contract and not be 2 weeks late? Well, during these two weeks, we would call and sometimes we would get returned and sometimes they wouldn't. We were lied to on numerous occasions. At one point, no one could tell us where our household goods actually were - and it turned out they still hadn't even left our departure location on the day they were actually due to be delivered to our home. We looked up the Vice President of Military Moves and requested to talk to him. That's when we got a hold of Erica. Erica is mentioned in many of these threads by Suddath's digital media team. Erica was great and she really did work hard to get us our goods on time and keep us informed. She even informed us about an inconvenience fee program where we could submit all of our receipts regarding meals and other reimbursable items and would be reimbursed for everyday past our required delivery date. When she finally couldn't get us our goods, she informed us to submit our receipt for buying new uniforms (more than $600) and she would try to get those included. Eventually our household goods were delivered. I deployed a week later and my husband had to unpack it by himself while dealing with our unruly toddler and starting a new job. If they had delivered on time, maybe life would have been a tad bit easier. Knowing what my husband went through, my heart goes out to every military family who's had a crappy moving experience like this and the spouses who hold down the fort during these moves. However, the story doesn't end there. We submitted our inconvenience claim and are now interacting with Ryan. Our claim came to about $1900. Ryan has determined we're only getting $900. And those uniforms that Erica said she would work to get covered? Well Ryan, can't get ahold of Erica (someone who works in his own company) so he wants to close the claim 6 days early even though he hasn't finished doing his job. We really trusted Erica when she told us she'd work on this, because she literally seems to be the only person working at Suddath, but now she won't return our calls on this either. At this point, I don't care about the money - it's just another example of Suddath personnel not wanting to do their job and being dishonest. So to all the military families out there - I hope you never ever have to deal with Suddath. It's truly been awful. If we are ever assigned Suddath again, we are going to request that the contract be re-bid.

Suddath has been an absolute nightmare. We told our agent, Ashley, multiple times well in advance that our things needed to be there on a certain day, and she completely ignored all of our requests. It has been almost a week, our things still haven't arrived, and we were just informed it would be another week until they do, despite Ashley promising us delivery by the end of this week or early next week. Not only did our agent take her sweet time returning our phone calls, the supervisor displayed no remorse or customer service when we voiced our concerns about her promises.

We have never moved professionally before, and now I don't think we will ever move without the pros. Edwin and his team did an amazing job! They were courteous to me and my family, made sure we were happy and involved us throughout the whole move. Not to mention, they moved our 3 bedroom, 2 story house in 6 hours! We were very pleased. Customer service was fantastic and Elizabeth did a great job keeping me up to date on my move details. I would recommend Suddath to any of my family or friends! Thank you for a seamless and stress-free move!

Suddath Relocation Systems has been wonderful in helping me " move" along with all if life's travels.... Getting a child settled in a first apartment later a home, upsizing or downsizing and distributing personal property from a psrent's estate sale.... Suddath does it all with a smile. The customer service manager Nicole G. , assistant Elizabeth A. and Henry with his team of talent .... Louis, Alton and so many more... have made for some pretty memorable moves in my lifetime. Once again, a great moving company that excels in customer service from booking to "signing papers" at the destination. Dani W was amazing in helping me navigate all the steps and with Kelly G, Bill B and his team of Derek, Alfonso, Alton and Henry it was a pleasant and positive experience. Once again a job well done!
