Two Men and a Truck Orlando West Reviews Add review

I recently had the responsibility to relocate a large number of offices at one of my Florida facilities. I contacted Two Men and a Truck to assist in the move, although nothing was leaving the property there were a number of challenges in regards to relocating multiple office to multiple areas of the plant while minimizing any disruptions to the business. After speaking with a representative and reviewing the type and number of items that was scheduled to be move I was able to ascertain a budgetary number and contingency pricing if the volume changed. I felt pretty good about the pricing and scheduled the move on a relatively short notice. I received a follow up call asking if I could be available to meet with one of their customer representatives onsite to review the project prior to the crew arriving to ensure the correct resources were deployed. After meeting and discussing the entire scope of work I made a decision to revise the plan and split the move into two separate phases the first phase being a much simpler move but splitting up the move would lessen any disruptions and take the pressure off some of the employee who were relocating to new areas of the plant. The driver called me the morning of the first move and gave me an estimated time of arrival which matched up with the time we had originally scheduled. One truck arrived with three very professional employees, they introduced themselves we reviewed the plan and they went to work - no doubt these guys are well trained in preparing the furniture for the move and on how to lift and utilize all the moving equipment to ensure there is no damage to the furnishings. I adjusted somethings on the fly and we agreed on the additional charges prior to move forward which the final billing reflected when I was billed the balance of phase one. A few weeks later as schedule the crews arrived to complete the scope of the project, again prior to their arrival I received a call giving me an accurate estimated time of arrival. Right on time two trucks arrived with a crew six after a short meeting to review the plan they again went to work - they worked as a team and it seemed everyone knew what everyone else was doing. Knowing the amount of work that was before us I was concern about running out of time so I pulled one of the leads aside to discuss - he reassured me they would stay until the work was completed and told me they don't really take breaks or lunch they just push through until everything is done. Well we started at 8:00 AM and placed the last piece of furniture in place after 9:00 PM. I was offered a hand shake and a signed work order then an assurance that I was satisfied with the work performed and if there were any items that I needed addressed prior to their departure. I can not express how impressed I am with this company and the employees that worked on my project. I received a follow up call after everything was closed out. I don't know how I could of made a better decision than to have contracted Two Men and a Truck I would not hesitate to contact them again in the future if I have a need that requires true professionals or to made a recommendation to my friends and business associates. Absolutely no issues, everything was presented upfront prior to the start of the work and they did exactly what they promised on time and on budget...

We never got compensation for the items that were damaged. When you move things get damaged and they do nothing to compensate for that. Find a company with a robust policy on damage remediation.

Updating a review from the movers being the owners replied. Actually that is not true at all. Taylor stood right in my living room and said one truck would be enough and if need be they would make two trips being locations were so close together. We tried repeatedly reaching out to your company to fix the problem and each time blown off. This reply speaks to your companies character. Basically make a mistake and blame the customer. If you look at the invoice, I was quoted x amount of items using one truck for x about of time. If you truly believed that could not be done why would you quote that? That's what was promised and that was not what delivered. Your company has a break down between Taylor and the packers -- which was a direct quote for the lead packer on my move. You can rest assure that our coworkers at Valencia, Disney World, and veterans administration Will hear about your review.

I've never had such a negative experience moving. These guys were careless, dishonest and unprofessional, it's ridiculous that a one bedroom apartment took 7.5 hours when the estimate was tops 5 hours, my stuff was moved 3 different times before it got put in the truck, all my furniture was scared everywhere and left unattended in the hallway, in front of the elevator and the parking lot, it was obvious they were stretching the time on purpose, managers care even less about customer service, they don't want to listen, and my stuff and wall were dirty and scratched! Never again!

***UPDATE: I confirmed with Two Men that I was a customer at this location. The manager who responded below is either mistaken or purposely avoiding taking responsibility for their malfeasance. The fact that she can't even get my name is right is a testament to this location's awful customer service.*** I would give this place zero stars if I could. This is the first online review I've ever written for anything, but my experience with this company (and this location in particular) has been beyond horrible and frustrating. Read below for more details, but in short I would advise the following - STAY FAR AWAY from this place if you're looking for competent movers and any semblance of customer service. First, on the day of our move, the movers arrived over an hour late without an explanation or call until I reached out to them. Even worse, they did not know they were supposed to pack us, and did not have any of the necessary packing supplies. They apparently thought they were just moving us. This created all sorts of confusion and delay. By the time they made a trip to get packing supplies, we had lost our freight elevator reservation and had already been set back a couple hours. Then, inexplicably, instead of making just one trip to get all the necessary packing supplies, they proceeded to make at least 5 separate trips throughout the day to get packing supplies, causing even more delay. We received no explanation for this. To make a long story short, they took 10 hours packing up our 2 bedroom apartment-- after arriving late to begin with - and the movers did not seem at all to be concerned with picking up the pace. This significantly delayed our already-long move, as we were planning to start a 20 hour drive to our new location. Our troubles were just starting, though. The movers arrived at our new apartment over 2 hours late, despite telling us the day before they would be arriving on time, and took approximately 7 hours unpacking. However, despite the inordinate amount of time they spent packing and unpacking, they still did a poor job and caused numerous damages. My wife and I have moved several times before, including multiple cross-country moves, and have never had movers cause this level of damage to this number of items. The amount of damage to our personal property was inexcusable on its own, and in combination with the amount of delay and frustration we experienced with our move, wholly unacceptable. But it wasn't over! After notifying Two Men of the damages, we have spent the last FOUR MONTHS trying to get them to address the damages in one way or another - either by fixing the damages or by reimbursing us an appropriate amount. Yet we simply cannot get anyone to help us. Although we have received various excuses for the continuous delays, at a certain point a delay merely reflects incompetency. I'm a patient person, but four months of different excuses suggests to me that they simply do not care about the trouble and damages they caused us. Ultimately, this has been an awful experience for us. As it stands now, we will never use Two Men again, and I would not wish a moving experience like ours on anyone else. Save yourself the hassle and go elsewhere. EDIT- to Jessica Q. below, my name is Sean, not Sam. And yes I absolutely used your location. Jabari Bussey was my moving consultant. I've tried to work with Darryl Cooper and Megan Proctor at your location, but neither have resolved these issues.

AMAZING. This was my first time using a moving company and they made it so hassle free I will never move without one again. I booked my move about 2-3 weeks in advance and received my preferred date. Based on other prices from other companies they were very reasonable. I moved about 20 miles from a 2nd floor apartment to a 2 story townhouse. I did not move a large quantity of items but I did move big items like a bed, sofa, and a glass top table. They took such care with the glass of the table! They wrapped it in a moving blanket and taped it so it wouldn't fall out or get scratched. While I hate that table I'm glad I didn't have to buy a new one!

I give Wesley and his crew a 5-star rating because they were courteous and very helpful. The price was reasonable. I have a very heavy upright acoustic piano. It was a "2-ton Bertha". Wesley supplied an extra mover to move the piano. I moved from Malbourne (FL) to Gainesville (FL). The move was without incident. I highly recommend Two Men and a Truck for anyone needing a mover. -Stan S. (Gainesville, FL)

I have used Two Men and a Truck 3 times (twice in Orlando for me and once in Birmingham for my mother). I would never consider using another company. From management to movers, they are quality individuals, professional, caring, and courteous. I have been extremely satisfied with this company. The movers work quickly, but carefully, and they are all highly trained. This company has my highest recommendation.

What a terrible experience. Showing up on time was the only thing they did right. No experience led to significant damage to at least 6 pieces of furniture. Worst of all was that they didn't just damage 1 end of our piano while loading, but repeated the damage while unloading on the other end. When we contacted them they sent out a repair person who could not fix the damage properly. So they sent a "settlement" check they won't even fix 1 side. Go with someone who has a professional team and who will handle your furniture properly. Two Men may be great at a 750 sq ft apartment, but not a nice home with expensive furniture.

First of all, let me start off by saying that we've used Two Men & a Truck twice before, and they did a fabulous job. However, on July 22nd, the experience was completely different. The movers arrived on time, and did what they were supposed to do. My main gripe has to do with the office, and how the movers on scene handled the issue caused by their scheduler (Jabari Bussey). I specifically asked for them to bring a truck with a lift gate, because we had a large Snap-On toolbox that needed to be moved along with our furniture. The guys arrived with a truck with a ramp. When I mentioned my request for a truck with a lift gate, one of the bigger guys said that they weren't informed of the request, but that since he was there, we wouldn't need a lift gate. When it came time to load the toolbox, the guys were really struggling. The ramp was starting to bend due to the weight of the box, and the two guys that were trying to get the toolbox into the truck. They ended up asking my son and I to help them, as they were unable to complete the task on their own. When we arrived at the new place, again, they needed help offloading the toolbox, so they asked my son and I to assist. Were we offered a discount? No. Maybe round down the time 15 minutes? No. On 07/22 @ 7:01 PM, I reached out to Jabari to let him know of the issue, and received no response. On 07/27 @ 4:39 PM, I sent a follow-up email (cc'ing Erik Diaz, Operations Manager, Dylan Southward, Sales Manager, Ryan Wells, General Manager, Maritza Soto, Administrative Assistant and their scheduling email box), which also received no response. On 08/02 @ 10:42 PM, I emailed Jabari Bussey, Erik Diaz, Dylan Southward & Ryan Wells, to thank them for ignoring my emails and to inform them that I'd be leaving them negative reviews. I will never again hire Two Men and a Truck Orlando West. EVER! A little customer service goes a long way, and they made it perfectly clear that you only matter until your move is completed. After that, the deal is done, and they don't owe you anything else. Please don't get snookered by Jabari. He SUCKS!

If you're looking to get your furniture damaged in the moving process, look no further. Not only were multiple pieces of furniture damaged, our walls and stairs cases were repeatedly scratched throughout. So trust me, this place is DEFINITELY not "equipped to handle local moves of any size" as per advertisement. The movers were not exactly what you'd call efficient. While we were told the move would last no more than 6 hours, the whole thing actually went over 8 hours! Guess whose pocket that money came out of. But worst of all was the incompetency of its personnel. While cataloging the furniture pieces, the mover completely missed the piano. When our movers arrived, they were left helpless as they didn't expect to move any piano that day. So they dragged the piano out without proper tools, damaging both legs of the piano in the process. So if something doesn't seem right to you, make sure you stop the movers before they proceed further and damage more furniture in the process. Bottom line, this is a franchise business so the quality of your service heavily depends on the capability of the people who work at that specific location. So please choose wisely. Because once you've paid them, GOOD LUCK trying to work out any reasonable damage compensations.

I hate to be the first to give a negative review . You are welcome to see my past reviews on other businesses I have always gave them the benefit of the doubt. My experience with this company was absolutely terrible. They showed up at my home and refused to do service. The reason? Was because they didn't think they could complete the job in 4 hours. I completely understood I let them know the job didn't need to be finished when they left we can use any ounce of help. They made my mother sign a waiver and left. I went back and forth with the manager and not even an apology was given. Do your self a favor and look elsewhere! I got uhaul and some friends we got it done in 5 hours... This company doesn't know how to do business. This is my first negative review on a company and hopefully my last. This "business" doesn't have proper management.

This company is amazing! i was very skeptical about movers ever since our first experience with another company. Everything was treated roughly and we even noticed scratches and dents in our wooden furniture. From the moment our movers from Two Men showed up they were friendly and positive. For a company that charges by the hour they moved quite quickly and took excellent care of our stuff. They wrapped all of our wooden and other large furniture to avoid any damage during the move. (I'm not sure if this is normal but the first company definitely did not do this.) I highly recommend this moving company for your next move! My two movers were Frednel & Placide and if I can request them for a future move, I surely will. I definitely plan on using this company again in the future when we move again.

I love this moving company! I've used them several times over the past few years and the service is always consistently great. This move was no exception! Scheduling was a breeze and the woman on the phone was a bubbly joy to talk to and an email was promptly sent out to confirm what we had talked about: moving date, time & pricing. Two days prior to my move I received a call to again confirm my move and get more specific address directions. Day of the move I got a call 15 min prior to the "Two Men and A Truck" arrival. My two movers for the day, Frednel & Rigardo, were pleasures to work with. Happy, cheerful and went over and above in making my move as easy as possible for me. I would highly recommend using this company for your moving needs!

I spoke to several movers and checked them out online and hands down Two Men and a Truck were the most professional. My calls if unanswered were returned promptly. All my questions were answered and contact by email was informative and timely. While my move has been postponed for several months I will most certainly use Two Men and a Truck when I do. The reason I gave 4 stars is because I did not actually move yet.

This is a Corrected review. In my first attempt I wrote about the wrong franchise location. I read the reviews on two men and a truck before i called and i am guessing the reviews are written by friends and family and not by actual customers. The move was not totally completed. Even the fancy office manager showed up and only seemed to make matters works. It was a move to the house right next door about 75 feet away. Many items were left unmoved and unpacked throughout the house and garage. Also, I know you have heard stories about how you should keep an eye out for the movers to ensure nothing is missing after the move. The is DEF true of the crew they sent to my house. They broke several things for which they gave me a small credit. In Addition, I had saved 2 bottles of champagne for my wife and I to celebrate with after the move. However, the 2 bottles of very expensive champagne disappeared at the end of the day. Then this past weekend I was preparing for a day trip and went to look for my louis vuitton bag and guess what, that is missing. I had called the sales guy immediately on the day of the move when i realized the champagne was missing. About an hour or so had elapsed since they had left. He offered no ideas on what to do other he will contact the 2 individuals he thought showed the most interest in these items. a few hours later he called to say he had not been able to reach them. I know the sales guy knows who the individuals are who stole those items. A week or so later he called to say that his manager was going to discuss it with the 2 individuals and would get back to me. That call never came. If you have the option of using a different mover i would certainly use some one else OR just expect that you will be missing some items and have a few things broken.

This is my fifth time using Two Men and A Truck, first time locally. I had called on Monday to schedule my move for Wednesday and was told I had an appointment between 8:00am and 9:00am. Well at 9:30 I called and was informed I was not on the schedule!!! Needless to say I was livid and let the manager know how upset I was. He asked to call me back and in a few minutes I got my call and he was able to get a truck to my location the same day. Because of the mix up they sent a manager to my house before the moving team arrived to prep everything and he did not charge me for his time. He was great! The moving team arrived at 3:45 after completing a five hour move before mine. The movers were professional, careful, with my home goods and did not complain in the slightest! They didn't even take a dinner break and finished around 11:30pm. The manager was also helpful in suggesting I only needed a two man team which lowered my hourly rate and saved me a few hundred dollars! Even though things started horribly, Two Men and a Truck came thru with excellent customer service and saved the day. That is why I have used them so many times in the past. You simply get the most bang for your buck with these guys! I highly recommend them.

I received a quote for the move which was reasonable. I completely underestimated the number of boxes I had. I didn't get two guys and a truck, I got three guys and a truck, with no extra charge. These guys were nice, polite, professional, and did an absolutely amazing job. I didn't have to life a finger. They wrapped my furniture with pads and wrapping. They took my bed apart and put it back together. They never stopped running, so they never wasted any of the time I was paying for. They did an absolutely amazing job, I was truly impressed. It made the move so much easier than getting a truck and friends to do the job myself. I highly recommend them for you move.
