Moving is so stressful, so demanding and so not fun that it takes a really good reason to make me even consider the task. Got the good reason so had to move and take the opportunity and make it happen. References from friends and neighbors directed me to Two Men and a Truck for my move from one part of Tampa to another area of the same city. So thankful to have been given their thumbs up for this moving company! The customer service representative Angela was extremely helpful and capably guided me through the process. She and I touched base a couple of times via email and the phone and everything went according to schedule. The morning of the move the two guys showed up right on time. They quickly got to work and had my furniture wrapped in plastic, taken apart as needed and loaded on to the truck really quickly. They know what to do and how to do it. Arrived at the new location and they worked seamlessly together to keep everything coming and get everything in place. We hit one snag when it became apparent one piece of furniture was just not going to fit through the door. They tried everything and gave it their best effort but it was just not happening. Moving is hard work and they made it a joy to work with them. I am glad I got to see them in action and get a firsthand glimpse at how well they did their job. Not anxious to move again any time soon but if another good reason presented itself, I would definitely hire this moving crew again and leave the heavy lifting to them.

We used them last week. By FAR the worst company in the history of moving. If you like lazy passive aggressive movers these are your guys. Do Not Use under any circumstances! These guys were confrontational with the staff and it's amazing they are in business.

Moved last week, posted this review initially elsewhere: My wife and I have used Two Men and a Truck at least 6 times in the last 10 years, always happy. Last time was 2 years ago, day of went well but 2 weeks later a manager from the company called to inform me one of the workers who was given a cash tip added extra tip unauthorized to my credit payment, that it would be refunded and the matter dealt with. Lo and behold, I still chose to use this company because of past great experiences. Today, our movers filled a van and told us they would not be coming back for the rest of our furniture and belongings. Local dispatch said they couldn't send anyone out tonight or tomorrow. They blamed us and the pre-move walk through. They stated the ground team reported we had "300 boxes" for a 3 bedroom, 2 bath house. I said, that's not true, I bought the boxes from UHaul, I have a receipt, I bought 70 boxes and I didn't use 5 of them. Then they changed the story and said we had closer to 100 boxes and that was over our estimate, that the walkthrough didn't include one of the bedrooms (a nursery, which had a grand total of a crib I had disassembled and a rocking chair), 2 extra 3-drawer dressers we couldn't give away and a side table. I left my pediatric clinic in the middle of the workday, over my lunch break, to arrange a truck and I personally hauled the left items onto the truck and had then threw them into the new garage, in approximately the time that the Two Men and Their Truck were pulling out of the house. I am beyond livid. I have previously been the afternoon move that was 2-3 hours delayed because the morning move took longer than expected. I understand delays. It is a service industry. I and my wife received no sympathy or help. We were told it was our fault, that the estimate was our mistake. A person from Two Men and a Truck walked our house. I was told today we should have asked for a truck for the entire day. Clearly, that wasn't needed, there was less than half a room left and I personally did it, in the middle of my work day, delaying patients, unhappy parents, and an unhappy crying wife all the while. And the story for why we couldn't be finished kept changing, as above. I will make sure I never use an estimate system from any moving company ever again. It is an estimate. Unless you are coming out the day before the move, how am I to know precisely? I cannot believe someone tried to tell me we had 300 boxes. After these last two moves, I will be finding a different moving company for future needs. *** Update a week later: Corporate only replied to me saying local would talk to me. Local sent me a form letter apology. No one actually put any thought or CARE into the matter, from what I can tell. My own parents, family members, and others in my workplace now know to use other services.

Our movers were slow and inadequate, myself and my roommate ( small girls) carried half of our stuff out of the truck and into our new place ourselves. Her dresser showed up to the new house in pieces, they "forgot" to wrap it. Our dining room table is covered in scratches and my couch is covered in black grease with a giant rip in the corner. Carlo Medero is responsible for handling client issues. I've emailed/called several times with little to no help in return. My calls and voicemails have gone unanswered. They WILL NOT refund or assist you with damages regardless of what they promise you. This company is dodgy and doesn't deserve a dollar of your money.

Great experience! Used this service for a cross town move and it was fantastic! I have moved across the country with major co's that are far less superior to 2 Men & a Truck! Thank you for the entire team and even the professional way you handled our rainy day. Quick, efficient, comfortable to be with and trust. You all did a great job.

My parents were quoted 700 hundred dollars for seven hours of moving time. My parents live on a fixed income, my step dad is a NAVY VET who spent 25 years serving our country and my mom is disable after several unsuccessful spinal surgeries. They had to save the money over many months to be able to afford movers. They went with Two Men and a Truck because they believe in supporting small business' whenever they can. After the men arrived, they loaded up the truck and handed my parents a bill for 1100.00 dollars. They threatened to keep my parents stuff if they did not pay the 1100 dollars. The movers had apparently tacked on additional miscellaneous costs (Note, my parents live in a 700 square foot apartment). My step dad called me trying to explain to me how their 700 dollar quote became 1100 dollars. I am complaining because I had to pay the balance. This company should be ashamed of themselves. They are a scandalous company with an ever failing reputation. Next contact will be the Better Business Bureau Unfortunately, my parents did not ask my advice when selecting a moving company. If they had, I would have told them the same nightmare story we went through with this company when we used them 4 years ago. Thankfully, we have been able to save several of our friends from going through this and have found a wonderful local company that charged us exactly what they quoted the last time we moved. Don't just look at Yelp or the Two Men and A Truck website reviews. Check out Consumer Affairs: http://www.consumeraffairs.com/movers/two-men-and-a-truck.html

The three guys that came out were extremely polite and were very quick. You can tell they are being mindful of the time. Not only that, their quote was lower than some other movers in the area. No complaints! I highly recommend.

I used Nationwide Van Lines for my last corporate move and they were sloppy, late, and a complete disaster. 2 Men and a Truck was awesome! The movers were super friendly and honestly did a perfect job. I couldn't be happier with their work or the price.

My only complaint was the consistency of message between the office staff and on-site staff. I was promised an on-site estimate gave me a guaranteed flat rate, rather than hourly, but the estimator said that Two Men and a Truck doesn't even do flat rates. He was also not sure that there was availability on the day the office staff gave me, and blamed the "new girl" in the office for it all, which I didn't really like. Not a great start. That said, the movers were friendly and helpful, on time, and well under the time estimate, which made it about $300 cheaper than expected. I'll assume the issues were honest mistakes in knowledge or communication. Overall pleased in the end.

Should be a 0 star rating for the Tampa office. This company was referred by our HOA which has given the company many many thousands of dollars in business. You would think they would take care of customers in that referral stream. We hired them to moved several pieces of furniture from our brand new condominium to storage. When I booked the move, I explained that the condo had just been finished being built, all the finishes were brand new and I requested that they send an experienced crew that would take great care with our home. Instead they sent a two man crew, one of which complained he was injured and couldn't work and spent the entire time on his cell phone leaving the other guy to do most of the work. Moving a bookcase they scraped our brand new hardwood floor with a huge two inch series of divits in the floor finish. This in a room we hadn't even had the chance to use yet. When I called to complain I was told that they had had several complaints against that employee and were planning on firing him after my job. He never should have been sent on our job obviously. It took three weeks to get the moving company's repair person out to fix the floor and they did a horrible job. I was told they didn't have anyone else to fix it and I was on my own. I hired another company to come out to try to repair it and it looks better but is still quite obvious and visible. So it cost me $350 for an hour's worth of work and ruined my floor permanently. DO NOT USE THEM IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR HOME OR YOUR BELONGINGS.

The office quoted $560 for 4 hours to move me. When the two small boys came to move me they stated it would take 6-8 hours to move me and stated it would be $1000. I told them to leave and hired another moving company which moved me in two hours and charged me $450. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

Eric and Broadway were on time, professional, personable and hustled!! They got everything picked up and to the other coast in the middle of a torrential rain, thunder and lightening storm and never complained! Everything was handled w care and in spite of the torrential rain my boxes were not ruined or my new place as they took special care! Thank you for a job very well done!

Paul and Broadway were always on time they did a great job. if I had one criticism, it would be their lack of attention to detail. When they were done loading the truck, I noticed they didn't go around to check to see if they had forgot anything. it's a small thing but as they say, it's a little things that count. $1900.00 for 12 hours and 36 of Two Men & A Truck boxes seems like a lot to me but they did a good job over all

I was quoted $500-600 for a move. My cost was $1,500. This was a move across town and pack as we aren't closing on our new house for another 3 weeks. I've had across state moves 6 hours with the same furniture for about the same price. No one showed up to survey before the move. Then the first hour after they arrived, they spent figuring out what to do and called in an additional mover with the boxes they actually needed. They charged for an hour before, an hour after and all boxes. They tried to charge for additional hours not worked. Goods that were not suppose to be packed were packed, and mislabeled. I had to tear through everything to find iPads and laptops we needed as a result I'll now have to repack everything before the next move. This was the entire reason I hired packers. I also had electronics mysteriously disappear from the delivery address- no one was there except for the movers. I had ties that cost $200 each that were suppose to be packed thrown in the bottom of boxes and damaged. Ive had three corporate moves in 5 years, two men and a truck was by far the worst and most expensive per hour move I've had. This was despite me giving several furniture items, worth thousands to the movers- my financee didn't want these things. I was charged $350 an hour plus additional time while they packed the things I gave, plus travel time of course. I would have assumed that was things they are given would be off the clock. They finished the move at 4:01pm- they then explained they round to up to 15 minutes, and then 30 minuets and then add travel time. So that 1 min cost me an additional 350? Again nothing taken off for when they packed the free furniture I gave them. I spoke to john the manger several times about these things, he promised a call back on Monday and that they would do something. It's the following Saturday (6 days later) and they never bother to even call me back. I'm still discussed that this happened. We're still missing electronics. I need to have repacking done. They didn't just steal my time, money and electronics they stole my trust in movers.
