Woody and Sons moving was absolutely a pleasure to work with. The movers who assisted with our move were friendly, fast, and took great care to ensure our possessions were delivered safely. I would not hesitate to recommend them to family or friends, or to use them again should we ever need to move again.

The office staff is incompetent. If you need movers who will show up on the date you have scheduled, I would look elsewhere. They took us off of the schedule without bothering to call us even when I had confirmed the date and time just a few days before the move. Update - The response below is completely inaccurate. I did not have trouble sending emails. Woody and Son's acknowledged on the phone when I called to confirm that they were having problems with their e-mail server. When I emailed to Sarah's personal gmail account, there was no problem. She even said that the address I was using for Woody's was correct. I NEVER received the quote. Given that we talked about Woody's email issue on the phone, I would think that perhaps Woody and Sons would have called us before removing us from the schedule. I cannot respond to a quote I did not receive. Furthermore, I was NEVER advised that the date would not be held. I was told we were on the schedule. It seems to me that I am not the one with trouble sending emails or communicating. Very poor customer service. Good luck!

These guys were very nice and helpful. They gave me the same groupon price twice and the men even helped me with putting my bed frame and etc together in my new place!

I have moved several times in the past 5 years. I have used a variety of moving companies but Woody and Sons was the best of the bunch. They came out on short notice. The men moving the furniture, Otis and Antwan (spelling?), were great. They were prompt and very careful with my items. Woody and Sons was a huge improvement over my last move and will use them again in the future.

Dealing with Woody & Sons themselves was fine, the lady in the phone was courteous and professional. She even answered the phone at 8pm. The issue was they outsourced their services to another company who did a terrible job. They were late (by 8 hours) rude, unfriendly, and unapologetic. If W&S actually did the work I'd likely have a much better review, but the company they outsourced to was terrible.

I had, as they quoted, a six to eight hour move, but they scheduled two moves in front of mine, so the guys didn't show up until after five pm! By then they were already tired. I don't blame the guys for all the broken lamps and electronics equipment - I blame the company for the crazy and impossible schedule. Two lamps were broken, my sound system was broken (and they lost one speaker wire), and my tv hasn't worked the same. All the wires were one tangled up mess that took hours and hours to untangle. What this company did was unconscionable - the crew didn't finish up at my place until close to midnight!

They worked very hard and were fairly quick doing it. Our window time was 4-6 (this was my 2nd choice), however they didn't show up until after 8. They were done well after midnight and didn't get everything from the other place. Most movers place items where you want them, they don't do it. They left paperwork at the other place and turned around to get it, extending our time by almost another hour. Most larger pieces were damaged.

We needed a local mover in a pinch and Sarah at Woody's and their partners at Maestro came through. Sarah responded to our request for a quote on a Sunday evening...which frankly was the difference maker for us. PJ and Jeff arrived on time and were awesome. They completed the move at the low end of the time estimate. They really hustled. Great service throughout the move. I highly recommend these guys.

The company was referred to me by someone I knew who had used Woody & Sons 4 plus times. I think that's key, the referral. Mention it. The guys who showed up, on a VERY awful, hot day in late June were right on the money. Not more, not less, just right where the bid was. Be clear and careful in describing ALL your stuff and they'll be able to give you the best bid. I agree, look for discounts, groupon, etc. I didn't, but didn't really have much stuff and the bid was fine. Now, for the work itself, they were professional and careful, while moving as briskly as 3 flights and the weather would allow. Nothing got damaged and everything was moved. Polite, helpful, all in all a very good experience. I would recommend and I would use them again.

I recently relocated to Florida from the Chicago area. I had to find a company to provide an unload service for my trailer when it arrived in FL. Using YELP reviews I chose Woody and Sons. From the first contact I was treated with commendable customer service. The movers who arrived on time were polite, professional, and courteous. They came prepared for whatever was needed with their own dolly and tools. My belongings were unloaded quickly and carefully. Before leaving they asked if I needed any further assistance and if everything was were I wanted it. I would recommend them to anyone and use them again if the need arises. Great Job!

All team members I interacted with were kind, courteous, and professional. I even had to cancel and re-schedule at the last minute and they were totally understanding. They did a wonderful job of loading/fitting all of my things into my storage POD. I would highly recommend them and would definitely use them again in the future.
