We did our research prior to selecting Hilldrup, and got estimates from a couple of other interstate carriers. I knew Rick Locke, their sales guy from a networking meeting I used to attend, so I asked him to estimate the job. I'm so happy I chose Hilldrup - I can't say enough good things about then entire process.

I spent a long time looking for a moving company, and ended up interviewing around 7. Each company came to my home and we spent a good amount of time with specific questions. I then narrowed it down to three and had them come back for a final chat. By this time, I had done a lot of research on the three in question. I ended up with Mayflower/United.The local representative is Alpha Moving and Storage. I was impressed by their BB rating of A+ and also the awards they have received over the past several years. Their attention to detail and follow-up was excellent. We did have some breakage, one plate and some damage to my entertainment set; I consider it minor, and do not intend to put in a damage claim at this point. Nothing was missing and that is a good thing. The meticulous manner in which the inventory is checked at the delivery is most interesting and helpful. I actually enjoyed it. The workers were nice on both ends. We kept them furnished with a lot of cold water, and they were very appreciative. We joked a lot;however, in conjunction with them working constantly, no wasted time at all. There were many challenges at the delivery end since we were moving into a split level home, and it was sometimes difficult to maneuver some of the furniture around the corners. One actually would not go(my entertainment set) into the den that I had picked. It had to go into one of the downstairs bedrooms;however, they tried very hard to make it work, and for that, I was grateful. I recommend this company without hesitation.
