Too bad there aren't negative stars! These people, Romeo, was my "personal" representative who couldn't be bothered to return a call when it all fell apart. I was told they were the movers, but they weren't! I ended up with another company at the departure location and another at the arrival. I had checked this company reviews and at the BBB. Interestingly that the BBB rating changed from an A to "revoked" after my move. I think they post their own reviews because there is no way this company would satisfy anyone. Between the overcharges, total lack of customer service and downright negligence, I think they are crooks!!

This company is complicit in a SCAM and is a CRIMINAL ENTERPRISE. I used Map Systems (https://www.yelp.com/biz/map-systems-secaucus?hrid=SXncr2ZR24FRJL8Hna6tSQ) to book cross-country movers from California to Maryland. My stuff was NEVER DELIVERED. Home Safe Moving works with Green Moving (https://www.yelp.com/biz/green-moving-los-angeles-3?hrid=1uIbssmAlqPhxPzA_t43Jw) and both companies are fronts for a criminal enterprise responsible for THEFT and FRAUD. DO NOT USE! Read my story: http://www.xojane.com/it-happened-to-me/movers-stole-my-stuff

I wish I could rate these guys with less than a star. This is the worst moving company. They were late for pick up, lost and damaged items. The customer service group and management was disrespectful and inefficient and didn't account for anything. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Contracted Map Systems Inc/Green Moving Inc./Homesafe Moving and storage to haul our household goods from CA. to NY (Homesafe changes its name when convenient like on their truck and shirts they wear). Like others, they gave us an estimate, then increased the price by $2000. Gave us the 21 day speech. They showed up the day after they said they would be there. We get to NY and tell them that we are ready for delivery. They said earliest delivery date is only an estimate, they have 21 days to deliver our goods. But they should be here in 6-7. Those days went by no delivery. We called back. They said another 6-7 days. Rinse and repeat. They said 3-4 more days. They called night before and said they would be here the next day but needed to pay in cash. We called them back and explained that our contract shows cash, credit card, or check. We don't have our specific bank out here so we couldn't get $1800 in cash out. They said they would contact dispatch explain that the contract says we can use credit card. They said they would call us back if that was a problem. No call back. Delivery day. They they said in the morning they would be here. 11:30 they show up. They have me sign for delivery. Then said they would take the cash. I explained what happened the night before. They said sorry, no cash, no delivery. After an. Hour of phone calls, they finally said ok, we will take credit card. I give him my card and photo ID, he takes a picture of it and sends it to the company. Company then comes back and says their system can't handle the transaction so the driver took off with our stuff. We called back again and they said cash only. We explained that even on their paperwork it says cashiers check. They said no, if we don't have the cash within an hour they are leaving the state. We scrambled and had to borrow cash from people to be able to pay. We called and said we have the cash. They said that my husband had to walk to the main road in 90 degree weather to give them the cash in hand. At this point we just wanted our stuff. So he did. Unloading. We paid the company to move our goods, this means furniture into the house and bedrooms, etc. They explained that they only do door to door. They sat around for an hour without doing anything until my husband and I and a friend started bringing stuff in. Then they started bringing more stuff out of the truck. It was at this point I watched them pull our 6 foot ladder off the truck. Made a mental note and moved on. Later, I realized I never saw that ladder again. They put it back on the truck. A TV of ours conveniently fell behind someone else's belongings on the truck. They went to look for it. We had a generator that I couldn't find and looked up and down the driveway. No generator and the truck was almost empty. I told them about it and they said they would look for it. Went back in the house to move more boxes. Came back out and the generator was sitting in the driveway. They said it was sitting there the whole time. No, it wasn't. Looking at the original inventory, they mislabeled half the belongings. They labeled a vacuum as a box kind of thing. So when doing the inventory, which the guys in the truck said not to bother with since the paperwork is different than theirs. Uh huh. I said I would be checking off the list. They said I have 30 days to file a claim so I don't need to bother checking the list. I said I would check it anyway. Went back in the house and watched him pull off stickers and throw them out as they were coming off the truck. So I couldn't even check the interview. On top of that, they write down that everything we owned was damaged upon pick up. So we couldn't even report that the broke anything. End result: Broken LG 55" TV, Broken dresser, multiple broken dishes and sentimental items, etc. On top of that, we are missing a box that had our Play Station 4, HP Printer, and over 30 Disney Infinity characters in it. Also missing our 6 foot ladder. The company refuses to return our calls and they delete our posts on Facebook. Rental insurance will cover missing items only if the company sends us a letter refusal of our claim. We can't file a claim because they won't return our calls to send us the forms.

This is an ongoing situation with HomeSafe moving and Storage.... Please take your time to read this! I know it's long but you will thank me later. The problem is; Like I did, someone else will see all these negative reviews and still use this company because of the price you're quoted. Before one of them comes here and say we don't know who you are or any of that lie, my job number is 2971332. I requested a quote for a move from Atlanta, GA to Las Vegas, NV. I received calls from a lot of moving companies, HomeSafe been of them. I started talking to a James Scott, I informed him that I don't have an address in Las Vegas yet and I will have the address for them when I get an apartment on my arrival. He said my stuff will be kept in storage in LAS VEGAS (please remember this part) and when I give them the address it will be delivered. After a lot of back and forth (bear in mind they don't use real phone numbers.. They can call you but if you call you will always get voicemail and when you leave a message the guy calls you back with some lie about how he was busy) When I told him about the reviews online he said it was all the customers fault and he directed me here ( http://www.movers.com/moving-company/homesafe-moving-and-storage-inc.html ) They have so many fake reviews there it will make your head spin. Anyways, I decided to go with them against my intuition and made the deposit. That's the last time I ever heard from this James Scott! When the driver that was supposed to pick up my stuff on the 30th of May didn't show up, I called every number I could find for them on the internet, every single one... No one answered! James was not returning my calls or replying my emails. I ended up canceling my flight for twice and staying 2 extra days at the apartment for a pro-rated rate. Anyways, driver eventually shows up on the 2nd of July with a Budget truck, I asked why they don't have the Homesafe truck as James said, he said truck broke down and they had to come with this. It was about 9pm and I had to leave that night so they packed up and left. I got to Vegas, got my apartment and started calling everybody at homesafe, I could not get through to anybody, even the driver who picked my stuff up wasn't answering my calls. I called from the 4th of June until the 12th and still no response. I then requested another quote on their website like a new customer and voila I get a call from a guy called Romeo. I played along with him for a while and he was using the same tactics James used. When I confronted him about my job, he promptly hung up on me! After kicking up a storm, I got a call from a lady who said my stuff is in Tennessee and it will be delivered to me. Well today is the 1st of July and I still haven't gotten anything. At this point I know my stuff will probably never get here or most of it won't. I call almost everyday and I keep getting all kinds of run arounds. It will be there in 5 days they say, it will be there in another 5 days, I was even told it will be there in 2-10days all of which has almost passed without my stuff getting here. You are better off just leaving your door open and letting burglars take everything than dealing with this company. A word they say is enough for the wise. I will update this post with any new information as it happens. I don't fear retribution from them, they know who I am from the order number I posted, the worst they can do is not bring my stuff.
