We just moved from Miami Beach to Athens, GA and the idea of moving after almost 25 years in our home was a daunting one. We did a lot a research on line about moving companies and read horror stories from people whose move was delayed, damaged, lost and charged way above the quoted price. Then we were recommended to Joe's Moving by our realtor. Joe himself came to write up the estimate and assured us that the cost overrun would not be more than 10% above his quote. On moving day his crew showed up as scheduled and worked diligently all day, packing and loading our furniture and moving boxes. On the scheduled day, another driver with a local crew showed us at the time expected and unloaded and set everything up in our new home. No breakage, no damage, everything arrived in good order and we paid exactly the price quoted, not one penny more. We are extremely satisfied with our experience and are happy to recommend Joe's Moving and Storage.

On a positive note, the guys who moved me in were very nice. That is what the extra star is for. However, once the move was "complete" I noticed that there were several boxes left unopened and unpacked. I requested for the remaining boxes to be opened and unpacked, as this is a service that is included with every military PCS move I have experienced. A service that is included with the cost. I was told "we do not unpack small items from boxes, but you can schedule a pickup for your debris" i even showed him the fine print that states all boxes must be unpacked prior to the Movers' departure. I still received the same response. I asked if they could at the very least open the boxes and take whatever they could for disposal. I live by myself on the 15th floor, and having to take care of the remaining boxes/packaging paper is a huge burden and inconvenience for me, especially when I work 10 hour days during the week. Long story less long, I was rushed into taking the paper survey of my satisfaction. Was I satisfied with the service that was provided? Yes I was, and I indicated as such. I even tipped the guys for their ONE HOUR worth of rushed work that they gave me. Was I satisfied with the service that was SUPPOSED to be provided to me? Absolutely not. I was tricked/pressured into filling out the survey improperly, to the benefit of Joe's Moving. I feel stupid and ashamed that I allowed that to happen to me. It's a flaw of mine. After trying to arrange a debris pick up, I was informed by my third party scheduler that this was not an option, and the movers were SUPPOSED to unpack all of my boxes and dispose of them for me on my moving day. I was totally taken advantage of. I take blame for being overly trusting when my gut told me that something wasn't right. I don't want any business to fail, so I'm not saying that Joe's suck. All I am saying is to be careful, thorough and honest with you dissatisfaction. If you feel rushed, it's because you are being rushed! Don't allow someone to half ass the job and convince you that they did all that they could.

Joe's Moving Storage has moved myself and various members of of my family, around South Florida for the past 20 years! Expert packing services, moving and storage services with never a broken item. Quoted rates are accurate, and don't change when you get to the destination. Courteous and thorough all the way!! I highly recommend!!

*Don't use this company unless you want your stuff stolen!* My bf & I moved from Miami to Honolulu. It's a military move so this moving company was chosen for us. 2 months later we moved in & got our things. There were stuff BROKEN & STOLEN. Here are some of the things: We had an iPad that was NEVER OPENED or UNWRAPPED. The thief left the box banged up & the charger BEHIND. Funny, that there was a name tag that was in the same packing box that the empty iPad box was in, maybe it fell out when the mover shoved it down his shirt. All our ALCOHOL are MISSING. That's bottles of wine, champagne, mimosa, tequila, vodka, etc. I remembered the movers making comments & saying a few times that they would take it if we don't want it. It was kind of weird & unprofessional. We'd said we'll give the opened ones away to our friends & keep the unopened ones for ourselves. I watched the guy packed it all & would never think he'd steal it. Also, my PRINTER is GONE. Our dresser's leg broked off. The white leather sectional is DEEPLY WRINKLED. So are my leather handbags. Canvas artworks are SCRATCHED, & mirrors dented. I also find it odd that they can't labeled boxes right. Some are extremely vague like electronics (cell phones/laptops) labeled as "misc" that's SUSPICIOUS. And some doesn't make sense like a box labeled as clothes, but contained only towels & shoes??? There's more too... Please check out the pics I uploaded. I hope TMO will stop using this shady company because it seems like other military families are having problem with this company.

I would give zero stars if I could. We are a military family and Joe's Moving was contacted to move our stuff to Key West. They were SEVERAL weeks late because they LOST our stuff! It was not in their database and we repeatedly got the runaround from their "customer service" personnel. We eventually had to get Navy Household Goods involved so they would actually check their inventory! Then, weeks later, when we finally got on their schedule, they arrived 2 hours before the scheduled move in time...and THEY set the time, not us From the beginning they were very rude and **repeatedly** commented about how they had other moves to do and had to drive all the way back to Miami. They broke several things on move in day, including our bed frame (that had clear setup instructions). The guy drilled NEW HOLES in a frame that had every hole pre-drilled, left out screws, etc, & had the audacity to yell at my partner who was trying to tell him where to properly put screws in & reminding him to read the instructions. He literally stood there arguing for 20 minutes and our bed frame ended up looking like swiss cheese with holes all over the place! They broke picture frames, scratched up our 4k HDTV, and lost belongings. After this extremely stressful encounter ended and we filed the claim for the damaged and lost goods, the "customer service" person sent us on a wild goose chase, denying they were responsible and eventually stopped responding to our calls and emails altogether!!! Now we have brought our claim to the Navy to get some kind of resolution. I will be giving my feedback to the HH good dept & am hoping they stop using this company altogether, as we are not the first Navy family to have these issues. ...in short, if you're looking for movers, run FAR FAR AWAY from this company!
