I have used Pinkys twice now. The first was an in city move and today they moved my wife and I to Lake City. Both experiences have been absolutely wonderful. The owner consistently keeps in touch from the moment you book to even after his team leaves. His team is always polite and courteous and they work their butts off. I love Pinkys so much that even if I move again I will use them as my movers even though they are based in Tallahassee. I completely trust that my possessions are going to arrive safely and to me that is priceless. They really make moving a less stressful process.
We called Pinky's to have someone come out and estimate a quote for us in regards to our move to a new home. The first time we called and left a message we did not receive a call back. We tried again and this time we did receive a call back. We scheduled for Friday 12/28 at 10:00 am for someone to come out and provide an estimate. They never showed up nor did anyone call to let us know they would not be showing up. I understand with the holidays things can sometimes fall by the wayside but this is rather unreasonable.
Trent came out dressed very professionally, and provided us with a quote. He insisted that we let him know the other quotes that we receive so that he could try to win our business. I was initially impressed. I gave him our other quotes and he matched the lowest quote that we received. Moving day arrived and his crew came to pack up our stuff. I was horrified by their packing. They basically wrapped everything in plastic wrap. They would take lamps (with light bulb screwed in, and lamp shade attached) and wrap it up and throw it in a box. They filled an entire box with my glassware (some glasses were wrapped with plastic wrap, some were not). About 30% of our glasses were broken when we unpacked everything. We called him to complain and he came out and gave them a chat. Things improved slightly, but overall this was the worst packing/moving experience we have ever had. We ended up with damaged lampshades, broken dishes/ glassware, and bent stuff. Trent said that this was his "B team" not his "A team" because the quote was so low. If we had known the service would be compromised because of price, we would have gone with another company. Also--they broke a ceiling fan light globe and Trent said he would replace it for us. We never heard from him again, despite leaving him several voicemails and calls.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. the owner Trent verbally harassed me and my boyfriend during our moving expirence. He treats his employees like slaves. He busted over 10 water pipes when he came and bombarded his employees when they trying to just do their job. My whole apartment complex did not have water for 5 hours because of him. Do not waste your money on this company.
I booked a local move for my large furniture pieces and some boxes with Trent and he offered a fair price. His moving team wrapped everything carefully and paid attention to loading and unloading the items safely. It took them the amount of time as expected (which was about 3-4 hours total), and it went very smoothly.
