Don't do it! DON'T DO IT! If you've been thinking about MOVING ACROSS THE COUNTRY or ACROSS THE STREET, don't use PODS! I just got off the phone with my "dispute representative" at PODS named Stephanie Ramirez. PODS cancelled my cross-country shipment of my POD without my knowledge! And she actually acknowledged this and CONFIRMED that it was POD's fault (they "record" every phone call). This POD error screwed my entire life up! I had to pay extra expenses to change three Airlines tickets, motels, car rentals, and numerous other issues. All these arrangements were made WEEKS in advance. Stephanie was in charge of my dispute and told me all she could compensate me was $100. Run do not walk away from any PODS contract! After much discussion regarding how this error on POD's fault really turned this entire cross-country move UPSIDE DOWN, she had her generic response: "well then I suggest you read line 26 of your contract which says PODS is not responsible and does not compensate for errors in shipment." PEOPLE, read their pitiful contract before signing anything! I asked her why she was even in charge of this "dispute" when POD's standard answer to anyone is "we can only compensate $100 and you should look at your contract line 26." Her continual "I understand..." (literally said this 10 times during this conversation) sounded like a computer-generated zombie. "I understand this was an inconvenience." "I understand you had added expenses." "I understand your frustration." She understands nothing! Shame on STEPHANIE RAMIREZ and shame on PODS! In addition to this, they failed to even let me know that the POD actually arrived 2 days prior to the 2nd estimated arrival date!. My sister decided to call and try to get an update, and the POD was already in St. Petersburg! Considering that PODS already f****ed up the delivery, a courtesy call letting us know it had arrived early WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE! Customer service at PODS needs a complete overhaul. Extreme errors like CANCELLING A CROSS-COUNTRY POD SHIPMENT is unacceptable! I don't want your PITIFUL $100! I want a sincere apology (won't get it), and I deserve additional compensation for my out-of-pocket expenses that I incurred because of YOUR INCOMPETENT CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVES! I repeat, RUN DON'T WALK AWAY FROM PODS!

We have rented a Pod for our cross country move. Unfortunately, Hurricane Irma has plans of her own. We started calling Pods 4 days ago in regards to picking up the Pod prior to the hurricane. Originally we were told they would pick it up on Thursday, days before the storm. (It is Weds as I type this) Today, we were informed that they will not be picking up the Pod until after the storm which does us no good. First, when the Pod was delivered, the driver didn't center it in our driveway and left it in a location that no cars can get in or out of the drive. Fine, we were working around it. Now it's in front of our house with a category five hurricane on track for a direct hit. We live on the water in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Second, we are in a mandatory evacuation area and need to leave our home. The police have been in the area making sure all residents are aware and vacating. They have also informed us twice that the Pod must be moved. I have contacted the company on multiple occasions only to be told "No, we're too busy" to pick up the Pod. One would think that a company would have plans for occasions such as this especially since their headquarters is in Clearwater, FL. Guys should be working around the clock until the storm hits in order to make sure ALL pods in evacuation areas have been picked up and properly stored. To make things worse, the Pod is almost fully loaded and we are concerned that the pod will float/blow into homes in the area and our belongings will be destroyed. We are extremely disappointed with the customer service we have received and disgusted by the lack of care or compassion. PS...to add insult to injury, pods has informed us that we are responsible for any damage to the Pod itself.

We moved from Michigan to St. Petersburg FL. What great service, on both ends. Took us a week to pack everything, unpacked everything in couple of hours. I must say what a smooth transition. This is better than any moving company, and believe me I have moved many times.

Great experience using Pods. We filled up two of them at different times in a very difficult location. The driver was amazing. This type of storage made our move so much easier. Customer service was excellent also. I highly recommend this company.
