I cannot believe that the government hasn't shut them down.They stole my stuff - antique oriental carpets, etc., & whatever did finally arrive ONE MONTH LATE was ruined. AND THEY HELD ME UP FOR ALOT MORE MONEY THAN THEY QUOTED. THEY FORCED ME TO GO TO AN INSTANT TELLER at midnight before they would unload, only to discover that every thing was a mess - furniture, paintings, anything that they got their hands on. Also, they are affiliated with Supreme Van Lines out of Miami and they play "Monkey in the Middle" with their poor unsuspecting clients. I cried for a month. The repairs cost well in excess of the move.
We were supposed to get our belongings delivered on 10/15 but we never received any communications and we don't have our furniture. Their customer service number is now disconnected. This company is now just a scam or out of business. We contacted the Better Business Bureau and added their long list of complaints.
So, it is now Oct 13 and they are finally delivering my things. Yet without any invoice they are saying I owe them $750 for storage which I had already paid. They will not provide an itemized receipt for the charges and are threading to not deliver. So once again extortion. On top of that the driver just let me know that he has to get a smaller truck to deliver to me and that will be an additional $400. So now, after a year a job that was priced out at $4000 is now $7500. This company should not be trusted, used or even talked to about your shipping needs. They are crooks and horrible customer service. I have had 8 different people in 1 year handle my account. I never post these things, as you can see from my lack of reviews. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!
EDIT: DO NOT EVER DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY. ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A SINGLE WOMAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ON DELIVERY DAY THE DRIVER SHOWED UP WITH SOMEONE HE FOUND ON CRAIGSLIST THAT VERY MORNING TO MOVE MY STUFF INTO MY NEW APARTMENT!!! So, this complete stranger and person NOT vetted by the company in any way at all knows everything I own, where I live, and how to get into my apartment........ The driver also tried to RIP ME OFF by uncharging me extra fees that weren't on the agreement and was pissed when I didn't give him cash. When I noted that they did not assemble my furniture (which was part of the agreement) on the contract before signing it.....my driver then took the contract, and CROSSED MY NOTE OUT!!!! I was polite and professional the entire time despite him being rude, forceful (HE MADE ME HELP MOVE MY OWN THINGS since he had to hurry to another job he had afterwards and was on a time crunch) The driver also BROKE my lamp while he was taking it out of the truck, extremely careless!!!! THEN, he tried to HIDE it by placing boxes over the base. I complained to Safeway HQ and they were not helpful at all----they told me to make a claim and sent some link. When you deal with this company you are helpless and they WILL take every opportunity to nickel and dime you as well as take advantage of you in any way. One of the most horrifying and violating experiences of my life.
Costumer service contacted me, not because of my claim, but because of my negative review! They tried to offer a money incentive to remove my review. I asked if they would just try and find my missing items. The individual PROMISED she'd call me by weeks end. Well, it's been two weeks later. This is just a continuous example on how you should RUN AS FAR AWAY AS YOU CAN FROM THIS COMPANY. They just want your money and there is better stuff out there.
