UPDATE*** Customer service called and corrected the situation. The claims department was top notch. This is a hard review... our 1st experience was perfect so we decided to use 1800 pack rat again and.....Today we received the 16ft container and we started to fill it immediately. Right as we had this half way full we get our afternnon storm I just stood in the pod as the water just started poring in. I called pack rat right away and bam they were right in it and had another driver out within 2 hours woth a new unit. So why 2 stars? We did get good service.. after loading half the pod, i had to unload it immediately and load it into the new one. This wasnt a small fix and it was a real waste of time expecally when your moving. I added pictures below. How did they let this thing out of the warehouse with out repair? Also the driver never went over the container with me and the first time we used them the driver showed us everything. Im thinking this driver knew in the first place what was going on. GREAT Move! We used Pack Rat to move from Bradenton FL to Rio Verde AZ. I had a couple other quotes and Pack Rat beat them. I ordered a 16 foot unit to be dropped at my Bradenton address for 3 days so I could to load it. The unit arrived on time and was relatively clean. Loading took two days due to a little rain. Not knowing what to expect, I lined to floor with metal shelves from my garage shelving units in case the unit flooded/leaked. I also covered everything with tarps. Again in case it leaked. The unit was picked up Oct 31st with about a 10 working day delivery ETA. About a week or so after pickup we were advised of a couple day delay due to a transportation issue. No problem for us. The unit arrived Nov 17th and was empty by the next day. No problems, everything was fine. Working with Pack Rat customer service was easy. A bit of advice, buy a 2 wheel hand truck to load your unit and then ship it in the unit to be used at the other end.

I recently used 1-800-pack-rat in the Tampa, FL area. We paid for an 8x8 container and got the 16x16 for no extra charge. They said they were to arrive within a window and came very early, the same with pick up and drop off. We only stored the unit for 20 days. Everything inside was in good shape, nothing broken. We did have a UPS driver friend help pack it though. So an over all good experience.

I recently made a long distance move from California to Florida using Pack Rat storage. And I will use them again, they were on time from drop off to delivery and Pack Rat were cheaper than PODS. furthermore I need my container in Florida in a week, pack rat did just that, PODS couldn't... I definitely recommend pack rat... thank you

If you want a company to cost you money, then PackRat is the way to go. Not only could they not accommodate my move as promised, their truck crushed my driveway to the tune of $3000.00+ and they refuse to pay for it. I had to chase claims down over a month for them to finally tell me no. Being part of Lowe's, I, nor any of my family and contractor partners will ever spend another dime with them. I had just had the cabinet department quote on my new cabinets $12,000 and guess what, they told me no to $3000, I will tell them no to $12,000 plus all of the other flooring and fixtures needed for my renovation. This lack of customer care will cost them hundreds of thousands in the long run and they will not be part of any of my renovations. Be afraid of PackRat...They DO NOT TAKE CARE OF THE CUSTOMER AFTER THEY GET THEIR MONEY!!! SHAME ON YOU, LOWE'S AND PACKRAT!!!
