The three guys were right on time, very professional, Made sure all screws, parts of beds, slats, etc., were taped to right beds! Truck was packed to my instructions. Now that the dust has settled from my move last Friday, I figured it was time to give these folks the credit they so sincerely deserve. I've moved about 20x my entire life as a missionary kid, in the AF, and 3x now in Bham cause AL apparently has no standard of living for their tenants (the first 2 places had black mold and leasing wouldn't fix it). The lady I spoke to and emailed back and forth from the get-go to set up my move was very sweet. She had me send pics to their office of the rooms and furniture to be moved to quote me as accurately as possible. They were very prompt to respond, as I had to get a new company to move me after another led by a fellow vet maliciously quoted me at $1,700 for a 600 sq ft apartment. Seriously, bruh? I'm a vet. This ain't my first rodeo and I know it doesn't cost that much. In any event, I sought out New Latitude last minute and, not only did they accommodate the same day I needed the move, but they packed AND moved me same day which is what I was used to in the NE. Apparently that's rare in the South to do both the same day? Was VERY pleasantly surprised to find they do. I received an email beforehand stating the crew would be by between 8-9AM that morning to start and, on the move day at about 8:20AM, I get a call from a perky young man (Brian) stating they were en route as previously scheduled. To boot, Brian asked if WE needed anything (coffee, breakfast, etc.) on their way to US! Never have I had a moving crew ask what I needed. Although it was completely unwarranted and we politely declined, I was taken aback at how much of a servant's heart these men had. Brian and Dean showed up promptly and went straight to work. They were on it like white on rice. They don't pack liquids, but that's standard. However, they put them in boxes to be carried to my car and even offered to take them to the car themselves. Once again, didn't have to. They took their audience into consideration and played classic rock to pass the time which was a fun way to start conversation. Dean had just been to the Beck concert earlier in the week, as had my bf and me (I was wearing my tee from the concert, so it was a fun conversation piece). They even took a lunch break in between before unpacking and, all in all, the move lasted from about 9AM to 430PM or so. They were super friendly, efficient, and were all smiles the whole time despite such a physically demanding job. After everything was said and done, the quote had been $1,300 and, even with the lunch break factored in, the actual price ended up being less than $1,200. After 12 yrs in service, this one will go down in the books as the smoothest move I've ever had. I would suggest them to anyone and everyone I know a million times over. EXCELLENT service.
