I was recently moving from Deland FLORIDA to Sanford. I contacted All My Sons sand scheduled a date and time for the move. The movers arrived late. When they looked at my packed boxes and furniture one of them commented that it was too much. I told them that when the move was scheduled I told Chad it was a one bedroom. They left and never came back. I still have not received the $50 deposit back from them.
They said they needed a third truck. Raised the rate $100 an hour then just threw the stuff in the third truck. Looked like a 5 year old packed it. Had 7 workers, 3 were great, 1 okay, 2 dumb as stumps and inconsiderate of the furniture and boxes, and 1 was the rudest, most arrogant, pushy individual I have ever met. Never saw the owner or the sales rep ever again. Would recommend a reputable line in the future. Told me they needed 3 trucks, driver said they just need help. Quoted me $5000, charged $6000, broke table, lost glass top and wheels to bed. Stay away!!!!!!! Shame because some of the people were actually good. Update: contested 3rd truck. AMS rep called my wife and was not just rude but abusive and attempted to bully her in to paying. We have heard from Amex that the company is the subject of many complaints. Apparently the bait and switch concept is the one they love the best.
I booked for a July 5th move two weeks ago. I was supposed to have the movers show up at 9am. After waking up early the day after 4th of July, i get a call from Chad at All my sons. He apologizes and says four of his guys called out and they are late. He offers a 10% discount (which i never got but besides the point) to move at 11 instead. At 11 there is still no signs of them so I give another call in. I ask about the status which Chad replies with "I told you between 11-1" also not true. I wait til 1pm and there's still no sign. I call in numerous times and no one picks up. At 2pm finally someone does pick up and it's Chad. He answers the phone and then upon hearing it's me hangs up. The movers finally show up at 3pm. The three movers were professional and efficient and took care of the job. I have to move again in three weeks and will not be using this company because of the terrible front office and the unprofessional behavior of their office manager Chad.
This company is not doing themselves any favors by having a 1.5 star review on yelp to start but to offset that they have 4.2 stars on google with 388 reviews. So I'm confused. I was quoted $380 for a one way 12 mile trip and 2 hours for 1 couch , 1 desk and 1 kitchen table from one house to another, which seemed a bit high but I understand people are moving a lot during summer and paid a $250 deposit. July 5th we needed these items moved as the first house is being sold on the 10th July 3rd we were suppose to get a call for the time schedule.. no call July 5 we called them at 9am. They said 12-1pm arrival . At 2pm no call from company we called, they said first job ran over cause tenant misled them and they needed 2 trucks, new time was 3-5pm. At 4:40 still no call , so we called again got a "I'm going to put everybody on this, the dispatcher and operations manager...etc" was going to call shortly. 5:05 pm we called back after waiting all afternoon with 2 people in 2 houses unable to leave as we were waiting for movers. We asked to cancel but started to suggest they could reschedule and do it for the more reasonable $250 deposit money to which we were told.. "Refund already issued" and call ended. I missed my best friends birthday dinner at 6pm across town since the job should have been done by 2-3pm. The person I bought the items from won't give me my money back either because "I am not a store and took it off the market, so I can't sell it now, I'll have to give it away" So now I'm out hundreds of dollars for purchase, couldn't even negotiate a different day or a discount. I award this business no stars and may god have mercy on your soul.
Two days before our move we received a call that a truck had broke down and they would have to cancel. No apologies. Just a bad attitude. I am appalled with this company as they had confirmed our appointment the day before and we have been scrambling to find another mover. I would highly recommend using another company for your move.
